F1 betting

Re: F1 betting

Great call there South. I tidy profit to end the weekend.  wink

Agree about Schumacher...! WTF! I had images of that crash in the US a few years back (Montoya I think). I see Michael has been penalised 10 grid places for the next GP as a result.

Thought DC summed it up well after the incident by saying that "Michael never knows when to give up, take the come back as an example". Classic... lol

Re: F1 betting

Agreed, lovely little quick earner (or loser smile) but great watching them all get thru the 1st corner and hang in there for 2 laps.
Shumi is an idiot, not the 1st time he has tried that sort of thing either. Should have stayed retired.

Re: F1 betting

Belgium GP tomorrow from Spa:

So we're back after the 3 week break, and a damp and slippy track at Spa welcomed the drivers in qualifying today, which has meant some surprise positions on the grid. But this is 1 track where grid position is the least important (has worst record for pole leader winning of all races on the calendar). Throw is some rain forecast tomorrow and there's a cracking race on the cards, at least we can only hope.

Safety Car during race:

If it rains I think a safety car appearing is nailed on, plus you've got a tough 1st corner to negotiate and some faster guys with penalties stuck with the slow teams at back. The 3 week break has a few guys a bit race rusty and this market is must for me.

Bet: 10 units Safety Car appearing @ 7/10 (Hollywoodbets).

Total Classified Finishers:

As above, am hoping the rain comes and is quite heavy, will be tough going for a lot of the teams and tactics will be all over the place. Is a tough ask for 9 guys to retire, so being a bit conservative on stakes, but this race has a history of low total finishers.

Bet: 3 units Under 18 classified @ 5/4 (Hollywoodbets)

Points Finish:

I really am pinning my hopes on rain now! Nico Rosberg is my pick to make up plenty places during race. He's a proven master of driving in the rain, but even without rain he has guys in front of him that's plenty quicker than, and Mercedez are pretty good and tactics for races where conditions are a bit unpredictable like Sunday will be.

Bet: 4 units Rosberg Points finish @ 6/5 (available at GreatOdds).

Other markets of interest are Alonso top 3 finish, he'll be quick tomorrow, but will look at that 1 again tomorrow, as well as some race match bets.

Re: F1 betting

Nice post South. Agreed on Rosberg, took the bet but was worried about his 5 place penalty. Q'ed 12th and thought he would start 17th but I see other also penalised and he starts 14th. Gonna double up on that bet smile
Bring on some rain and a SC smile
Can't find my quick and nasty - 1st retirement lap 1 or after ??
Kovalainen starts in 13th and is 33/1 for a point finish - not a great bet but some value. South?

Re: F1 betting

I took Kubica earlier in the week for a podium as I heard there was a good chance of rain and that Renault were out with a few improvements. So it would be great if that arrives, but I think I might need rain and/or a safety car to help my cause!

Those look like good bets South. I've followed you on all of them. Will wait to see if there is indeed some rain around come the last few minutes before the start. In that case there could be some good money to be made on outsiders making the top 10 or top 6.

Re: F1 betting

hmm no rain just yet and a spot of sunshine, but bets are down no turning back, hopefully the rain still comes.

Popgun I personally can't have a Lotus for a top 10, would need a lot of retirements to make that as they just don't have race-pace, it's a big price but not for me, but you never know in F1!

Having a lazy 1 unit on race winner market - 1 unit Alonso to win @ 14/1 (available at Sportsbet.co.za).

Off to do a rain-dance...

Re: F1 betting

Needed more rain for Heiki to land but no real damage at that price.
Rosberg you beauty and Safety Car onto Liverpool double was nice to collect - could only find 5/10 safety car and Liverpool double made it 9/10.
Keep looking at Kobayashi for a points finish - he was 18/10 yesterday - but never pull the trigger. Maybe next time smile
Great calls again South!

Re: F1 betting

shot popgun glad you got on, even at the lower price! Good day and looking forward to Monza in 2 weeks time, yes Kobayashi a good points earner, got 1 eye on the Force India's already for points scoring, their cars are coming good and are perfectly suited to Monza circuit.
