Womens Rugby World Cup

Womens Rugby World Cup

Day 1 today:
Black Ferns play the Springbokkies and the cap at GO is NZ-28 SA+28
The difference between the AB's men and women is that the women know how to win the World Cup, they have won the last 3 world cups!!!
SA is still relatively new to Womens Rugby so I am taking a small punt on New Zealand Women -28 at 10/11 at GO

Also like England Women -16 vs Ireland Women at GO and have taken a small punt on them.

Reasoning, England are the only side to challenge NZ imo and I see them meeting in the final. Ireland will get smashed here

Re: Womens Rugby World Cup

Yes Brent, it is televised. Girl on Girl action at 5pm, with hookers wink

Punts and TV :
- WRWC at 5pm - Take a stab on NZ -28
- Lions at 7pm - Take those winnigs on Lions -13.5 with Mbet
- Top14 at 9pm - Put the entire loot on Biarritz for the win

My unpatriotic weekend of punting starts today  roll

laughsmiley  laughsmiley classic RB. I've joined in, had a quick look at NZ group results in 2006 and that was enough for me, although price gone now - 5 units NZ -28 @ 4/5, sorry SA ladies!

However, you'll have to excuse me if I don't get involved in Biarritz, and it's probably a good thing as it would doom your bet if I did, my bogey team of note. boxingsmiley

Re: Womens Rugby World Cup

I'm around 25 minutes from Guildford where all the Womens WC group games are being played, weather is white clouds, doesn't look like it will rain, light breeze and around 22 deg right now, so perfect for some tries.

Re: Womens Rugby World Cup

Good call guys!

Amazed to see the Bok gals kicking for posts and 48-0 and 55-3 down - the crowd must have bee really impressed.

Only caught the end and must say while it won't stop me having a punt the next time the boys find value, womans rugga just does not do it for me!

Re: Womens Rugby World Cup

shot for the thread RB, I wouldn't have got on otherwise!

Agree Brent it was a bit odd at times, I did feel the NZ women doing the Haka was a bit ridiculous, went on for ever and just seemed like a serious rendition of the Macarena! roll  The Haka should be left to the men in my opinion (types while making sure Mrs Southpaw cannot see laptop  lol )

On plus side the tournament is being nearly all played at same location in Guildford so the fans going down can make a right day out of it and catch 3 or 4 games in 1 day.

Re: Womens Rugby World Cup

Some Games today
SA women got a 15-10 win over Wales, SA were +13 on the cap and 4/1 to win ... UNDERDOG!
Games at 5pm today
Ireland v USA: Ireland lost first game 27-0 to England, USA smashed Kazakhstan 51-0. Ireland need a win here and I fancy them on the +6 at BetX. Ireland +6 TNB at 9/10 it is!
New Zealand v Australia: Aussies are the 7s champs, Black Ferns are the World Champs. Cap is Aus +24 at BetX. How it can be SA +28 vs NZ and the AUssies at +24 is beyond me? Aussies +24 TNB at BetX at 9/10
7pm game:
England vs Khazakstan:
England should win with a bonus point but the handicap is +63 at BetX. England have made 12 changes to their side that beat Ireland 27-0. 63 points is massive! Previous results in 2000 saw England win 41-3 and win 29-15 in 2001. Khazakstan have not lose by 60+ in quite some time and call me crazy but I am on the Khazakstanies! Khazaks +63 TNB at BetX at 9/10

Re: Womens Rugby World Cup

final this evening between the 2 pre-tournament favourites NZ and England. Think the England women are good value for the 11.5 points cap, beat NZ women last year at home and will have a good sized crowd right behind them today at Twickenham Stoop.

Bet - 5 units England + 11.5 @ 9/10 (available at WSB, Hollywood and few others).

Re: Womens Rugby World Cup

Fully agree with that bet southpaw,
New Zealand were restriced to only 3 points last time these two teams met, and as you said, home crowd will firmly be behing the English today. was tempted to go with the outright at a juicy 33/10, but opted for +11.5 @ 9/10 as well.

Re: Womens Rugby World Cup

doubled up on bet, 10 units on England +11.5.

Was also tempted on the outright BB but I can't be too greedy after yesterdays damage!

Re: Womens Rugby World Cup

Yeah, Ive had to restrain myself as well after a very mediocre weekend on the betting front.
History also pursuaded me to shy away from England in the outright, knowing that New Zealand have not lost a world cup game since 1994! Albeit against the English  smile
Knowing England have lost the last two finals against New Zealand should have them geared up at Twickenhem today, so the +11.5 looks solid enough for me!

Re: Womens Rugby World Cup

Just switched on and GreatOdds betting in running. England had their chances late from what I could see but I feel they may pay the price for not taking them - 3 units NZ -12.5 at 12/10 with GreatOdds

A pity none of our lads are doing teh spreads - NZ shirts 34-37 overseas - I would have had a nibble at 37  wink

Also taken 2 units more than 24.5 points at 15/10

Well done lads, I should have followed

Could have broken square if that final penalty went over but enjoyed the game nonetheless!

Re: Womens Rugby World Cup

Good call South! Always bet the + in finals! I was on the -12 like an idiot  sad

Good games, enjoyed the Aussie v France game. Running rugby at its finest

New Zealand chicks clearly have the balls to win Rugby World Cups, unlike their male counterparts  laughsmiley

Re: Womens Rugby World Cup

laughsmiley  shot lads, some good chirps! Needed that after Sharks shocker, but geez that Aussie ref was whistle-happy, helped me in end. NZ had so much territory but England defence was solid.
Yes been some nice games this tournament, the girls play at 1 helluva pace so give them credit for that!
