Weekend footy thread, 11th - 13th Sep
Some good games all over this weekend.
I think Everton could be value to get at least a point home to Man United on Saturday, there is 33/10 for them to win and even money (-0.5). Rooney may be scoring again (on all fronts) but he is bound to get a rough ride from the Everton fans and this could be worth watching, Everton beat City, United and Chelsea at Goodison last season. Preview below..

Newcastle v Blackpool, I had this down as overs when I looked at the fixture list but best price I can find is 7/10 and Andy Carroll is doubtful. Will stick with overs but have cooled a bit.

More English footy previews to follow plus Pirates v Chiefs in the MTN8 semi final first leg and the Bundesliga webcast.
Was that half a million win or place on Lucky Dan....?

"Rooney may be scoring again (on all fronts) but he is bound to get a rough ride from the Everton fans" - too right mackem, he is going to get absolute hell from the Evertonians, he should probably play with ear-plugs. But i like the draw, Moyes will have his team fired up for this.
Much as I hate to say it, Liverpool draw does look on the cards, we've struggled against Birmingham in past and I remember this particular game costing me a bit last season.

No preview of this one but have gone for overs in the Man City v blackburn game at 8/10.
Will be on Rooney watch early afternoon, think this could be very tasty

Stiff RB, Sheff Wed had been going well to yesterday. So had Borrusia Munchengladbach and they chose the weekend I tipped them to crash and burn 4-0
For the second time this season MAckems captain Lee Cattermole gets a red card in the first half. This guy is costing us points a plenty, becoming a liability.
Hoping to see a few cards waved at Brum today, high on bookings.

stiff on Wednesday RB, i was 2 out of 4 so not really close.
Mackem i believe Cattermole has had 5 reds in 2 seasons? Bruce also sounded dissapointed with the lad. On plus side always good your record signing scores on debut!!
Just about Liverpool v Brum today and that bet - Mark Halsey is the ref, and if you're looking for high bookings he's not the man you want in the centre. Check out these stats - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal … 145246.stm - he has lowest average by some margin, only 1.4 cards per game.

Eish cheers South, that doesn't look to encouraging. My thought was that two of Brums games have seen red cards for opponents, (one being Cattermole on the opening day ) plus, if I remember rightly, Brum were robbed at Anfield last season and perhaps there will still be some needle even though they have met since. Let's hope Halsey is in a bad mood as my dough is already down, high at 30.

I guess Halsey's stats were the key there South, a lessong learnt for me, Torres should have been booked first half for a shocking challenge but he just let it go. Escaped with the draw coming in. Must say Pool look very short of passion
Stoke v Villa tonight, betting on the link below though I think I will give this a miss.
