All Racing Tips w/c 20th December

Some very nice racing for a Monday at Turffontein.

Race 1 - Castle of Glass @ 5/1 & Positive Attitude @ 10/1
Castle of Glass - Last run was impressive and a subsequent winner and good 2nd.
Positive Attitude @ 10/1 - I like the bredding and Rafeef on fire at the moment. Also been some money for it earlier which with stable normally means something as well.
Complete outsider is Fire Lord, so well bred but has shown nothing on first 2 runs

Race 3 - Winter Smoke @ 4/1
I think Bartoldi will be hard to beat, but on weights maybe this one can surprise.

Race 4 - Shield of Roses @ 5/1
Again favorite looks hard to beat, but I have followed this one nicely with her on 1st run. Worth ago.

Race 5 - Admire Me @ 16/1
Followed in Durban and big step up in class, but I remember the Puller stable saying they rated this one. Also ran close to Elusive Current who had a good Highveld debut on weekend.

Race 6 - Little Rain @ 16/1
Tough task at weights but coming in with almost no weight, and hoping for with the Appie claim of 4kg's, can pop up.

Race 7 - Franklin @ 10/1
Got a decent course and distance record. Also seems to get along with the jock.

V8 Grindewald @ 25/2 ew

Thanks Mackem, yeah had a good day. 2 close seconds with mine just been piped by better horse or jockey, but still a good day.

Today is tough in my opinion but sometimes these days turn into favorite days.

Race 1 - Cool Winter looks had to beat and if does win, then Emirate Gina in 2nd also looks good. I will probably take the double.

Race 2 - Above Double and She's a Klawer @ 40/1
She's a Klawer - First run is nothing to write home about but gets decent jock up even if out of form. Also all siblings won over sprints and been by Twice Over I always think they like the soft. And dame Sire is Captain Al who I think prodigeny also like soft under foot. But weighted to places.

Race 3 - Chasing Mavericks @ 25/1 & Earl Cardigan @ 50/1
Chasing Mavericks - Some okay Cape form in the soft, so might like a bit of cut in the ground.
Earl of Cardigan - Siblings all liked the distance and been by Duke should enjoy a bit of cut in the ground. I just think been a maiden handicap, could be anything.

Race 4 - Flag Bearer @ 18/1 & Leshawes @ 7/1
Flag Bearer - Holds Flashy Apache on previous run over 1600, and now getting 4 kg's after beating it buy 1.5l. Know in this quality doesnt mean much, but FA is 9/2. Doesnt make sense to me.
Leshawes - Gets top jock up, bred for this sort of distance in my opinion been by Ashaawes. Also last 2 runs over 1800m were impressive.

Race 5 - Elusive Rocket @ 25/1 & Apples & Things @ 20/1
Elusive Rocket - Gets appie which will help with taking mass off and has decent record with Peter stable.
Apples & Things - Shown promise and Stable & Jock have a 100% place record

Race 6 - F Squadron @ 11/2 & Eagle Alley @ 33/1
F Squadron - On ast run hods the fav, getting 2.5kgs for a 1.5l beating. Also Stable / Jock combo has been very good to me.
Eagle Alley - won first 2 well and then hasn't shown anything. In my opinion based on breeding will be looking for this sort of trip minimum, if not further. By Silvano out of a Saddlers Well Mare. Hasn't shown much of late but worth a shot.

Race 7 - Secret Giver @ 7/1
Stable in hot form and hs had a small drop in merit ratings

Race 8 - Informative @ 7/1

Race 1 - Philosphise @ 4/1
Fav looks hard to beat but will take on with above, stable comments look promising. Also half brother to African Warrior who had pace as a 2 year old. And The United States all seem to have a bit of pace. Will take Boxed exacta.

Race 3 - Hell of a Duke @ 10/1
Again hot pot fav, but this one has been gelded and gets stable jock up, hoping will be running on at the end. Might like the longer run in.

Race 5 - Sweet Dreams @ 10/1 & Apache Dream @ 25/1
Sweet Dreams - Full Sister to Do it Again and on that breeding should be looking for this sort of trip. If like this one Costa Smelda one to consider as well.
Apache Dreams @ 25/1 - On last run holds 2nd Fav Song. Also will be leading them as per usual and has good draw to get there easy.

Race 6 - High Moon @ 7/1 & Wolf Man @ 8/1
HIgh Moon - Dropped down a lot in ratings and now getting a good mass. At 7/1 think value gone, I got some 14/ last night
Wolf Man - Dropped down in ratigns as well and remember Stable saying this was a top horse, but that could just be trainers.

Race 7 - Maledimo @ 7/1
I have always been a fan of this one and hopefully at a manageable weight should be there at the finish.

Race 8 - Will look at if I am not broke.

Some tough racing today.

Race 1 - Twice the Dice @ 66/1 & Orgetrix @ 16/1
Twice the Dice - I like Stable/Jock combination, won 1 and placed 4 out of 6 so decent record. Also Siblings showed early pace and also think Elusive Forts like the softer going.
Orgetrix - 3rd run with stable and Khumalo staying on it says must be showing something. Drops back in trip and think something must have been amiss last time.

Race 2 - Petunia @ 16/1 & Stepintospring @ 10/1
Petunia - Top Jock up again and last run with Jock up wasnt the worse. Very open in my opinion with scratchings.
Stepintospring - If you put a line through the last run where something looked amiss, then has very decent form finishing in front of some very decent sorts.

Race 3 - Flinders Range @ 16/1
A couple of really good runs in maidens behind decent sorts and then gone off form. Any sort of return to some of maiden runs, will be competitive off this mark.

Race 4 - River Jordan @ 8/1

Race 5 - Whorly Whorly @ 5/1 & Rock The Globe @ 20/1
WW - Should go close if Appie can keep him straight line, and this horse is always game. In last run in the soft still came close even carrying 65.5kg's.
RTG - Dropped in ratings from 105 to 86. Any sort of return to previous form should have this field stone cold.

Race 6 - Florentine @ 7/1
I remember this one was rated by the stable and dropping back in trip. Ran well fresh first time

If have anything left after this, will post some more later.

F6 Red Eight @ 13/2 ew. Well weighted today, jock has won 2/3 last rides for yard. Yards only runner on card. Needs to jump on terms today.

F8 Grayswood Pink @ 14/1 ew. Seems value, won maiden with authority, Muzi not staying to end of card for nothing i'd hope before a flight back home.

One of these 2 would be great please santa.

G8 - Kapen Pride @ 13/1 ew

In the last going with Applehorn @ 6/1. But on above form any could win. Lol. When La Quinta drifted to 20/1 knew it was over.

And I warned you, ran nowhere. Lol Applehorn disappointing.

Nicely bred and was backed on debut. Will give it another chance.

Race 4 - Forever Free @ 14/1
Favorite sounds like could be a good one, but I like this one on the breeding and with appie claim up the straight could surprise, was also backed in 1st run so must have been showing something.

Race 7 - Mind Reader @ 25/1 & Kwite a Trip @ 12/1
Mindreader - I really like, Holds the favorite on previous runs. If we ignore the last run. Also with top jock back up might surprise
Kwite a Trip - Doesnt look the stable elect with Syster up, but I remember stable thought quite highly of this one and on same run where Mindreader holds Alesian Chief, so does this one.
