City have been busy with ins and outs in the transfer market but gut feel is they are weaker for it right now, Chiefs were awful in cup defeat at weekend but finished 2021 in decent form and might be worth a small stab at just over 2/1 although it's a tentative call,
Chiefs to win at 2.05/1

Melbourne City vs Adelaide Utd
City played two away games last week, beating Newcastle Jets 4-2 on Tuesday and then Western Sydney Wanderers 3-1 on Friday night.
In both games, the City boys looked frighteningly good in attack as Jamie Maclaren, Andrew Nabbout, Mathew Leckie and Florin Berenguer created havoc in the opposition defences.
It's been all about attack for Adelaide as well this season, with the Reds recording the equal-third-most goals per game.
Both teams will be looking to maintain their position in the top 6.
This should make for a good game in Melbourne under lights.
It’s ominous signs for anyone taking on Melbourne City at the moment as their ruthless form in front of goal was on display against Western Sydney.
They’ve got the firepower to rattle any opponent and they should have too much class for the Reds.
Melbourne City have moved to second on the ladder and with Mathew Leckie scoring freely, their firepower may well make defeating them extremely unlikely in the near future.
Adelaide will have a serious crack, Craig Goodwin can always produce something from nothing like the magician he is.

Both teams are in good form.
Wellington has taken 10 points from their last four in the league with an FFA Cup final in the middle of all that.
Brisbane have improved since December and showed flashes of brilliance as they dispatched Macarthur on Sunday.

The Wanderers have played poorly recently and are coming into this match from two consecutive home defeats.
They are sitting second from bottom
Victory lost at home last time out, but they missed tons of chances.
They are sitting on 6th and they too are coming from two consecutive defeats, but only one at home. I expect them to push to get something from this game, they've been the better team all season so far.

Jeez I hate it when you make the Sheriff T 29/10 pick and cock it up with the 4/10 certainty for the little extra odds:sick:

Melbourne City vs Newcastle Jets
Melbourne City lost at home 1-2 vs Adelaide three days ago in a match that they dominated but the ball didn't want to go in (19-10 goal attempts and 9-2 on goal with 8 goalkeeper saves).
They will surely be ready to bounce back tonight. They are second on the ladder and they don't want to lose ground.
The Jets won surprisingly away to Melbourne Victory (2-1) to maintain themselves in the fight for a play-off spot. They are now sitting 4 points outside the play-off zone, with 2 game in hand.
There is one trend emerging across the league at the moment, and it’s the lack of clean sheets.
These teams met in Newcastle 10 days ago and City won 4-2.

Perth Glory vs Brisbane Roar
The match is being played in Tasmania because of Covid restrictions in WA (Perth).
Marquee man Daniel Sturridge is set to make his long awaited re-appearance.
The former England and Liverpool striker, who will have had 34 days between matches, has played just 61 minutes coming from the bench in Glory’s COVID-19 ravaged season.
Glory coach said "We’ve got a very strong mindset going into this next week. It’s going to be a big week and one that we need to get quite a lot of points out of. The boys are itching to play again.
We’ve lost four games and they’ve all been 1-0 and were games that we could probably have got something out of, so the resilience in the group is growing and they’re heading in the right direction."
Perth are bottom of the league only because they have 5 games in hand.
Brisbane on the other side are only one place above, three points ahead, but they have also played three more matches.
When these sides played in Brisbane last month, it was the Glory’s first game in over a month and the rust was evident on the night, however they repelled several waves of Brisbane attacks and only went down 1-0.
Having played a few more matches since then I’m expecting a much more even contest.
Bet: Perth +0.5 @1.84

Western United vs WS Wanderers
Western United is sitting second on the ladder, 2 points behind the top spot and 2 games in hand.
Western Sydney is sitting in the bottom half of the table.
Western United are unbeaten in their last 4, with 2 wins and 2 draws. Together with Perth Glory they have the tightest defence in the league, with only 9 goals conceded in 11 matches.
They also score few goals, but they are very efficient, as with 11 goals scored they have 6 wins and 2 draws.
For the Wanderers, Captain Rhys Williams will miss a considerable amount of weeks after rupturing his hamstring tendon, however coach Mark Rudan has bolstered his Western Sydney Wanderers squad by bringing experienced defender Tomislav Mrcela.
Western United was ultimately unfortunate not to beat Sydney FC in an entertaining 1-1 draw last time out but have the boost of having beaten the Wanderers just two weeks ago, 1-0 away.

Leeds v Man Utd
Got Paul Tierney today so I agree with Chris - cards are in play. Leeds have leaked the second most goals in the EPL 46 in 23 so built this bet at Sunnies
BTTS - Yes
Leeds D/C
Cards over 4.5
@ 19/4
and Sir Alex would never have sold this guy.
ATGS
James @ 7/2
Will check team sheets to see who Ralph Wrongpick is fielding with a view to player cards

James is inclined to drift to the left so Wan-Bissaka is a card possibility. Leeds usually set up 4/1/4/1 to 4/2/3/1 which can give them an extra body in the middle of the park on occasions and makes it easier to kick lumps out of the oppo play maker. That's where I will go for the retaliation card
Player to be booked - Yes
Fernandez @ 3/1
