Six Nations week 2 plus other rugby

Had an excellent weekend on the 6N and have reinvested most profits into Ireland -5

I didn’t see them being completely outplayed by the English, (who were very impressive), but in recent years Ireland have been slow starters in the tournament.

2017 they lost narrowly to the Scots at Murrayfield, 27 – 22. The following weekend they were 24 point favourites away in Italy and blew them away 10 - 63.
2018 they were fairly poor in the first game away in Paris, but narrowly snuck over the line with Sexton’s sensational 45 metre drop goal, following 40 odd phases. They then went on to win the Grand Slam.

In my view, in Schmidt they have the best coach in the world. You listen to current and ex players talk about how detailed and technical he is with processes and systems – and that often it takes time for players to learn and adapt.
Schmidt I thought was “out-coached” by Eddie Jones on the weekend – he won’t like this one bit and I can see a massive response from him and his players this weekend.

I know they have some injury concerns (Stander is out, Toner possibly too) but they have superior depth to the Jocks who also have injuries in their pack. (Just heard WP Nel has been ruled out, which is a massive loss for them in my view).

I also like Wales -22 which I’ve had a small play on, will wait for teams before going in for more as the Welsh may rest a few this week.

Main bet of the week end is over 1 try in each half in the Scotland v Ireland game – string wind expected so teams might go for tries rather than attempting penalties. Adding 2 more bets on that game and will see the rest later.

I really like Mackems preview calls on win margin split, but I’m going to for the narrower margins at bigger odds. Think this game goes either way today -

Damn knew Mackems bet looked good and I got greedy on looking for shorter odds. Good call mate.
