Hey everyone. Been a little quiet of the forum lately. Had an up and down weekend ending up slightly up.

Managed to get on Wales +4.5 which I really like. Wales have been extremely tough to roll over in Cardiff and I predict that trend to continue.

Really like Sunwolves +23.5 as I expect them to improve, especially at home. Tahs are inconsistent on the road and this cap it too big to justify. Wolves also welcome returning players.
Stormers are a side in complete turmoil. However, they love playing at Newlands and look like a completely different side in doing so. That coupled with Lions returning from a long flight makes the Stormers +7.5 at home look like a really enticing punt.
Lastly Jags on the plus at home looks appealing. Albeit the Jags losing key players, the Jags rolled over every single SA side at home last season and I expect them to really target these home games.

Does anybody have any news on the Bulls team sent to Argentina? Is it full strength? I have a line set at +-/0.5 and have consequently plowed into the Bulls +0.5.

The sunwolves handicap will be hugely dictated by selection on both sides. Sunwolves aren't due any internationals back until week 6. If they decided to rest eg Parker and Tui and Tahs go full strength to get 5 points(which they really should) a handicap of 35 would be fair. On the other hand if tahs go weak and Sunwolves get back a couple of international guys to fill gaps (after injury to Ranger) something in the teens would be more appropriate.

Take Saders -5 whilst it lasts, Beauden Barrett is unlikely to play as he only just returned to camp today. He hasn't trained with the team at all as the ABs were only allowed to return to training 3 weeks before the season but he was given permission to go on his honeymoon which he arrived home from on Sunday.

"Beauden will be back in next week, but we won't be rushing him back. He's got a process around his contact, so we'll make a call on that when we get home."

Even if he does play he'll be highly under prepped.

goodforthegame.co.za/Super-Rugby-2019/hi...betting-preview.html

Took a while to make my mind up but going with the minus 18.5 widely available right now. 1.5 of 5 units is the rating as not quite sure what to expect from the Reds given its their first match

All over the Saders cap this weekend!
Got -6.5 and then took more of the -4.5 at BetX

Saders would have covered that cap in all 3 of the last matches in Christchurch. Canes pack does not inspire me and they are seriously missing Beuden at 10.
Richie Moúnga did not have the best game against the Blues and expect him to steady the ship on the weekend.
Make Saders handicap one of the bets of the weekend

Bulls team announced vs Jags.

Bulls – 15 Warrick Gelant, 14 Cornal Hendricks, 13 Jesse Kriel, 12 Burger Odendal, 11 Rosko Specman, 10 Handré Pollard, 9 Embrose Papier, 8 Duane Vermeulen, 7 Hanro Liebenberg, 6 Ruan Steenkamp, 5 Lood de Jager (c), 4 Jason Jenkins, 3 Trevor Nyakane, 2 Schalk Brits, 1 Lizo Gqoboka.
Subs: 16 Corniel Els, 17 Simpiwe Matanzima, 18 Dayan van der Westhuizen, 19 Eli Snyman, 20 Thembelani Bholi, 21 Ivan van Zyl, 22 Manie Libbok, 23 Dylan Sage.

Hendricks comes in for Kotze. I really like this Bulls team, they have a fantastic spine of the side with Brits, Vermeulen, Pollard and Gallant and think they will cause the Jags problems.
Waiting for the best price on the Bulls before pulling the trigger

Had a decent bet on Shannon Frizell to score anytime @ 3/1 vs the Reds with Bet365. Came on as a sub last week and was everywhere, scoring a try and could have got more.

Also done first @ 25/1, double @ 25/1, and hatrick @ 150/1

Keen on the Crusaders and Waratahs handicaps as well.

Very weak Canes team named, if Saders go full strength the cap will balloon out big time.

Hurricanes team to play Crusaders: Jordie Barrett, Wes Goosen, Matt Proctor, Vince Aso, Ben Lam, Fletcher Smith, Finlay Christie, Gareth Evans, Du'Plessis Kirifi, Reed Prinsep, Liam Mitchell, James Blackwell, Jeff Toomaga-Allen, Dane Coles (captain), Chris Eves. Reserves: Ricky Riccitelli, Xavier Numia, Ben May, Isaia Walker-Leawere, Sam Henwood, TJ Perenara, Jackson Garden-Bachop, Ngani Laumape.

Agree Saders team looks decent, cap has gone to 10.5 in some parts which I think is a slight overreaction. I’d already loaded up on the -5 and also have it in a couple doubles so will leave interest there.

Sunwolves are starting the same dross as last week with one or two minor alterations. Their best player(Little) is on the bench again. Rene Ranger did ACL last week so he’s gone.

I’m betting 80% of the profit from last week on Tahs -20. I have slight concerns over the weather in Tokyo. Could be greasy which would make point scoring tougher. Would also lead to more scrums. Sunwolves scrum last week was laughably bad but obviously Sharks are one of the better scrummaging teams.

Agree that Saders looks a strong bet too.

On the Ireland game, the Irish pack has a few changes in the front 5. It'd be 2nd and 3rd choice bar Furlong.

I'm going to go again with Italy +15 on First Half Handicap. Takes 50-60 mins to break them down. They beat the FH Hcap against Scotland and Wales.

If the Sharks lost last weekend or played poorly a changed team would have been the way to go but not sure why you are going Blues and saying that because the Sharks didnt change their team you are thinking the Blues have a shout. Same team after a winning weekend spells consistency and keeps momentum.

I think the Blues will do well but Sharks to clinch this one. Their team is more settled and they are riding high on confidence off the back of the Currie Cup Title Win as well as a great start to the season. The Blues will do better than last year but they are still finding their combinations.

Just off week one I can say Aussie teams don't look as bad as last year and this line is to big. To put it in perspective what would it be against the Crusaders? Reds have had essentially two weeks to prep for this game and the have flown in two days early. This will much tighter than the line suggests.

Line has gone out to 20.5

Start your weekend with an easy bet, Reds to hold the line.

1) Brad Thorn is from Otago!

2) All Black protocols will be in play and AB will disappear after 60mins.

3) Pre season Thorn's Reds held Chiefs to two points.

Cheers& Good Luck
