Early call. Connors won last night and makes the Masters. Has opened at 200/1 at Sportingbet who are paying to seven places. This won't be his first look at the course. He was the leading amateur in 2015. Can't get hurt with a little e/w at those odds.

Woop,woop! Masters time!
Lets get this ball rolling.

Obviously DJ looks a strong favourite @ 10/1. Cant count Rory out,but he's only 7/1. I also fancy Casey to do good, but 25/1 feels just a bit short for him.

Matsuyama - 28/1 (when is this guy gonna play to potential?)
Oosthuizen - 35/1
Finau - 40/1 (behave at the bloody par3 contest!)
Poulter - 80/1
Smith.C - 80/1
Hoffman - 90/1 (probably first round leader)
Li.HT - 125/1

For now he’s my main pick again -

Fowler win 18/1
Top 5 @ 9/2

Will add another 4 bigger priced guys later today.

First Up - My favorite group for researching - The Amateurs. Hovland looks a lock but I am going with Ortiz e/w @ 13/2. He is a student of the game and played with Garcia yesterday who advised him " It's not about the perfect drive or hitting it close. It's about the best way not to screw it up."
Ortiz is the first Mexican to play in 40 years. Reminded me of "Motor Mouth" Lee Trevino (Born in Dallas). Watched him play years ago. Here's three to entertain you.
" If you are scared of lightening hold a one iron in the air - Even God can't hit a one iron."
He wore a corset for his back in later life. When asked by a journalist how long he had been using a corset " Since the day my wife found it in the cubby hole"
First ever round with Jack who never spoke during a round. " Lee - I don't talk when I'm playing" Trevino " Fine by me Jack. I'll talk and you can listen"

Wrestled with Koepka for two days but went Rory instead - not even a beer bet ( even after listening to Jason and agreeing with him - damn annoyed ). A virtually flawless round from him admittedly on a softish Augusta but the pins on the back nine 10/11/14/15/17 and 18 were close to their most difficult positions.
@ Brent - Harding was 12/1 for top deb.
Four from the three balls today
Langer @ 13/10
Kim @ 14/10
Bradley @ 18/10
Weir @ 2/1

Noticed this on Brent's day two update and thought the odds were wrong but they are still there. Bubba gave Phil a 3 shot lead last year (73-70) and beat him by 11 shots. Must be value in Top Lefty - Bubba @ 24/10

Nice pick Vann - this one caught my eye, mainly because the betting was to 104% as opposed to 122%+++ on the other golf markets

Strange Masters - kinda donated to Tiger by a collection of the world's top players.
About broke even on the beers but only made 1 of 7 main bets - once again a losing Masters on the punting side.

I was on Tiger at 18/1 and tank goodness he arrived because I barely turned a profit due to a huge bet on Rory

Loved the tournament and that win from Tiger was amazing - all the players felt pressure down the stretch and he handled it the best

Was watching your top left hander pick Vann - well done

Let it be known that I am not a Tiger Woods fan, I hated his arrogance when he was unstoppable, but have to acknowledge that the man is a phenomenon the likes I am unlikely to see in my lifetime again. My worst fear is him adding to his majors victories and having to endure the commentators gushing. I was reaching for my barf bucket on Sunday and landed up muting.

As you go through life it’s a long, long road. There’ll be joys and sorrows too

Could not have put it better myself although you did miss the sycophantic fans chant of "You're the Man" which fills my scants like nothing else.
