Tarka wrote: I like Heart Stone for a place in the first race at Fairview tomorrow. 15to10 a place for 4 places is huge value. She's well drawn, never far off and had two good runs over course and distance. Some of the more fancied horses is drawn in the bush and it's Wayne Agrella's only ride for the day. Hit them hard!!!
Cracking bet, thanks mate!

A couple for me in the last 2 today. Both E/W weighted to Place
Race 7 - Magic Sailor @ 9/2
Decent sort and been brought up from Cape Town. Good draw. Run againest some nice sorts and I think well handicapped. Fav looks progressive sort but first time up againest older horses.
Race 8 - Rebel Wilson @ 7/1
Old favourite of mine, Well drawn and gets top Jock on in Fourie. Never seems to do well 1200m but had a more than decent 1160m at Turffontein which I believe is a tough 1160m. Hoping can produce the goods for me today.
All the best and enjoy.

I like Anneka in 6th, 2 Fav's I think will be going for bigger fish. Anneka gets 6kg's from Vistula for 2 length beating previously at level weights. 10/1 is a fair price compared to 18/10
Will take in a double with yours Van Damme

Turffontein
Race 3 - Great Joe / Orchid Street
Race 4 - Live by Night @ 7/1
2 runs back at Scotsville down the straight ran well behind Invincible who won next time out and horse behind won next time up. Back down the straight hoping for an improved effort.
Race 9 - Premier Show @ 14/1
An old fav of min, more sentiment than anything else.
Kenilworth
Race 1 - Hope & Pray @ 20/1
Based on Stable and Jockey stats from last year. Also work rider normally one of the better around
Race 5 - Magic Mike @ 5/1
Silver Operator all the rage but think this one can give him a run for his money. Was decent sort earlier and hopefully after gelding will improve.
Race 6 - Ground Control @ 12/1
I am forgetting last run but beaten 2nd fav Finding Camelot who looks better over further. King of Gems and Captian Tatters look best distance suited. But can't get hurt at 12/1.
Race 8 - Hidden strings @ 14/1
My fav from last time Queensbarns fav and looks above average, but on a line through 2nd fav Pretty Young thing, Hidden strings getting 6.5kg's for a .25l beating of it. Well drawn at 1 so hoping for a decent run. Will take swingers with Fav as well.
Enjoy the racing

Still under my own sanctions against rugby until the WC starts , just can't keep an account open , this despite being in arrears with most betting shops ..
At least racing is alive and well
My Fancies today
Joburg
Race 1. Lots of money for Fortunes Single Red rose and must be respected , it is a work riders race and preference is given to the better jocks. With that in mind going with Exultant at 6/1 and 9/10 a place , held on her last run but expecting some more improvement today as the decent jock retains the ride.
Race 2. Gold Griffen was super impressive in his first run out of the maidens , I don't like him today though Port Key is from Sukkie de koks stable and tops the boards, Kurts Approval my second choice, Tough Choice is my roughie at 12/1. and first choice.
Race 5. In for a Penny is my narrow first choice at 33/10 , tough race .
Race 6. Open looking race and like both Kackos Boy at 5/2 and Jive Express at 11/2.
Race 7. Vistula really tough to beat , Schippers unproven over this distance , Anneka my spook at 8/1.
Race 8. Some old timers here , but like the look of the middle aged Strike it like a match at 9/2.
Cape to follow

T9 - Lord Silverio 18/1 ew. Long break but well thought of and sometimes Tarry gets them spot on. Might want further so could be running on at death.

Race 1 . Another work riders race , very open look with multiple improvers .. going to lean towards Mr Cobbs , decent rider and trainer combo at 10/1.
Race 2. Snaith's stable has been hot and cold the last few weeks , seems to be better with horses that have had a few runs under the belt as opposed to the babies. Linda loves Lace though does appear to be the right one at 2/1.
Race 3. Going to try beat the favourite with Princess Angeline 6/1 and Mariviliso at 8/1.
Race 4. Only one like You probably needs the unkindest of cuts but think he'll take a power of beating at 3/1.
Race 5. Been tipped Silver Operator at 17/10 but I prefer magic Mike at 33/10.
Race 6. Too open to call.
Race 7. Yorktown is a beaut and I'll row in with this giant son of Die Nasty.
Race 8. Anybodies guess, play well

Caprera and Rampancy

de Melo can get rolled in the last as that favourite hasnt run sin march and veale is on a fair horse...
and de Melo's in the penultimate ... i am expecting the Khaya horse to show its class

Race 1. Looking to oppose the fav here , raced green in a good debut though , going for two 5/1 shots Magnifico and Al Jazeera.
Race 2. Dickens looks very tough to beat but at odds on I'll probably leave alone for now, however might look at a few places on Soulja Boy at 9/10 first 3.
Race 3. Viento an old battler at 7 yrs old but has a shout at 7/1, Frozen Tune at 10/1 my other fancy.
Race 4. Crystal Ball carries a stamp on her back and can score a huge upset at 20/1 and 7/2 a place , an open race and also respect Everdene 9/2 and Jo Mambo 12/1.
Race 5. Ginger Biscuit is 8 yrs old but still very on top of her game , a change of stables should help her cause , Prosecco and Elnora my first choices at 4/1 and 8/1.
Race 6. Wolfgang at 7/2 should have more to come , Bravo Zulu at 12/1 and Royal Rustler at 16/1.
Race 7. Bestdayofmylife at 2/1 or anything ..
Race 8. What a thrill returns from a longish rest , brings good form but at 8/10 i think will drift somewhat , Rampancy can improve at 4/1 and like Sweet Resistance at 4/1 a place first 4.
Play Well

R6 - rocket fire 15/1 ew. Should be fit and ready today, jock knows him well and is highly rated by stable but had his issues at home
R7 - ultra boost 12/1 ew. Drops in class and had show great potential in early stages of career.

I have gone for the following:
Race 1 - Lord Caro @ 7/1
Well drawn and seems to always get close and place.
Race 2 - Nitzam @ 70/1
First attempt at distance and Dam won over distance. Also been from a Greys Inn and Silvano distance shouldn't be a problem. Know Dickens looks hard to beat but of late seems fav's can get easily rolled.
Race 5 - Elanora @ 10/1
Run againest 2 top sorts in Singfonico and African Warrior and wasn't embarressed. Last run has a huge weight turn around with Ginger Biscuit and on that should finish ahead of her, 6Kg swing. Weighted to places.
Race 6 - Big King @ 8/1
Ran againest better last time out and nearly beat top horse. Step down now and hoping for a great run. Bit of a concern change in Jock but Randolph has won on him C/D before.
Hopefully get something to take some of the others you guys highlighted.
Hope you guys all have a profitable day.
Enjoy
