I just cannot buy a handicap win. Whichever minus or plus I go, the other comes in.
My last ten or eleven have gone opposite - soul-destroying stuff

Just a heads-up to the group:
I really want the Japs to go into the QFs, so I'm taking a BIG punt on Scotland to win - hopefully my run continues to that game.

Hope you guys are having better results than me, :beer

Feel your pain mate - I got absolutely smashed on the weekend. Well down for the tournament.

Pulled a very small amount back with wins on both caps this morning.

Going Wales -17 next.
Just think their defence will frustrate the Fijians and grind them down, perhaps running away late

I really cannot wait for this match and think Namibia can push Canada and get their first ever win. Namibia has completely outscored Canada so far, with the weeks rest and the confidence they have I'm really backing them to pull through here. I took these bets halftime during the NZ game and it looks good value so far.

Namibia to win 22/10 - Current price 15/10
Namibia +5.5 - Current price +3.5

I do think Namibia will see more money until Sunday and especially after South Africa puts away Canada.

Agree with you Pierre and you're quite right, money has indeed come for Namibia

Cap is now +1 with most books in UK, but Skybet has +4 which I've just taken a lump of

I've emptied both my 'depleted' betting accounts onto BOP Steamers -22.5 tomorrow morning. No matter how hard I try, despite not finding a team list anywhere on the web, I just cannot see the Southland getting within 30 points of the Steamers.

If BOP win, then I can place a few bets over the weekend, otherwise, I'm out till next week...

Might be a good cue for you guys to punt Southland, given my luck recently :woohoo: :)

Just ASK :

Southland:
1. Joe Walsh
2. Greg Pleasants-Tate
3. Morgan Mitchell (50th)
4. Craig Smith
5. Mike McKee
6. Brayden Mitchell (c)
7. Matt James
8. Charles Alaimalo
9. Logan Crowley
10. Mitch Taylor
11. Lewis Ormond
12. Ray Nu'u
13. Isaac Te Tamaki
14. Josh Moorby
15. Marty McKenzie

BOP:
1. Aidan Ross
2. Nathan Vella
3. Jeff Thwaites
4. Aaron Carroll
5. Baden Warlaw
6. Hugh Blake
7. Mitchell Karpik
8. Abraham Papali'i
9. Leroy Carter
10. Dan Hollishead
11. Pryor Collier
12. Chase Tatia
13. Matthew SG
14. Emoni Narawa
15. Jason Robertson

So basically BOP will destroy them :)

Hi Kirky,
just to let you know that tabnz has picked BOP -22.5...... this is always a worry as they often get every game wrong! Not influenced as I was already with you on this one before they posted! :beer

SOUTHLAND $8.90 v BAY OF PLENTY $1.05
Rugby Park, Invercargill
Thursday, 7:35pm
Southland reverted back to their old habits last week, getting embarrassed 64-7 by Auckland at Eden Park. It was a disappointing result just two weeks after breaking their record loss streak but they’ll be happy to return home to Rugby Park where they’ve covered their last two. Up against Bay of Plenty, though, life won’t be easy on Thursday night and it will be no surprise if the Steamers run up a score. BOP are unbeaten against Championship sides this season and have won four straight games. They’re 8-1 ATS this year and have beaten fellow championship sides by an average of 29 points and Southland are arguably the bottom of that pile. We can expect a big BOP win on Thursday if the conditions are dry.
Recommended Bet: Bay of Plenty -22.5 ($1.87)
Confidence: Confidence level
Value Bet: Bay of Plenty 31-40 ($5.00)

Happy with the weather situation in the great Southland.

Thought about BOP Head Coach Clayton McMillan with great assistance coaches v outgoing prop coach Dave Hewitt and its time to add some x factor punting.

Betting an extra unit BOP -33.5 @ $3.35 doubling into Tasman -7.5 @ $1.87 (cannot believe line keeps dropping, Hawkes Bay farmers must have had a good winter) Cheers 3P

I know the spread firms have a default allocation for a game that is not played for any reason.

Just watched last night's Handicap show and very surprised to hear that I'm not the only one with an aching sphincter from the Southland/BOP game. Feel less of a twat now than I did yesterday after my BOP expectations were dashed, if top punters like you guys also got nailed.
The reality is that Southland and Northland would probably do better playing cricket than rugby.

Am I smoking my socks again if I say that Otago has got to smoke Northland by 25 at least on Sunday ?

Great show and good insights guys, it's back to the trenches for me and hopefully turn things around

For me this RWC has been nothing but trouble for a year now, for lots of reasons, and I'll be glad to see the back of it.
Counting down the days to Super Rugby and some good honest rugby again.
Hopefully by then they'll have sorted out this tackling/TMO/red card nonsense that's spoiling the RWC. Probably a case of 'dream-on'.

Good punting everyone :beer

Australia over 5.5 tries 1/1, Home Team points is at 38.5, meaning 6 tries and 5 conversions.

Georgia doesn't offer much on attack and, weird to say, Australia has got a good scrum so I can't see Georgia disrupting the set pieces that much. Both Wales and Fiji also put 40 points over Georgia.
