Not a bad week although never got too involved but Sharks beating the handicap was a highlight
Here are my projections for next weeks caps - sure GGGaming will be out mid-morning
Chiefs -7.5 v Hurricanes
Blues -14.5 v Lions
Sunwolves +42.5 v Crusaders
Reds -8.5 v Bulls
Sharks -6.5 v Stormers
Jaguares -9.5 v Highlanders
Brumbies -9.5 v Waratahs
Anything obvious stand out if I was the bookie?

The Lions are poor but the Blues aren't the type of team that beats big handicaps. I would have priced this game around 13.5. In the coastal SA derby, when you get a converted try to start you have to take it. Storm have been strong over the years in Durban and they should keep this one close. Lastly, NZ sides typically do very well agains the Jags in Argentina and getting a double digit start just seems too generous. Landers aren't a great side but they will cover this cap in Arg.

I’ve seen Chiefs -6.5. Waiting on Cruden and Cane fitness but if both good I’m on it. Really seeing some weakness in the coaching at Canes. They are going to win some good games but also going to be found out in others when up against coaching units that do their home work.
I thought Gatland would struggle at Chiefs this season but am happy he’s proving me wrong. Put together a great set up there already and tactically they look on it, if you ignore the blip against Brumbies.

Have to agree, Chiefs behind Waratahs at half time! Gatland has magic water at half time.
Expect Canes to come out strong in first half after yellow & red card debacle last week v Blues and win first half. Value bet paying $6.50 Canes/ Chiefs HT/FT. Value Bet, worth a crack, not just beer $.

Playing a bit one-dimensional crash-ball vs Blues, using Aso, Laumape and van Wyk to try blast through. Just my view but i think their season struggles from here on with many NZ derbies.

Brumbies -11.5 v tahs - should be too strong at home for weak tahs
Jags -11.5 v highlanders - landers been horrific and now NZ have rested their highlander ABs (coltman and smith) and landers have sent nareki, parete and johnstone home to be rested)

Agree with this to an extent, though thought Garden-Bachop was starting to look decent (was v.good vs Sharks) so real shame he was injured.
Out for another 2 weeks at least I think.
Fletcher Smith not the same quality and as such expect their struggles may continue.
Personally think the loss of Lomax at TH could be more damaging. He has been rock solid at scrum time.
No decent backup TH in their squad in my view.
I'm holding fire on bets for now.

Chiefs-awful 1st half team, amazing second half team
Reds-awesome 1st half team, awful second half team
Crusaders-strong 1st half team, poor second half team
On that basis, Canes +3.5, Reds -3.5 and Crusaders -18.5 1st half all seem like solid plays. I do feel the Bulls did punters a favour for the Reds clash by smashing the Highlanders, however the Reds have been fairly untrustworthy in second halves, so I feel the 1st half line might be safer.
Blues v Lions-the bookies have really struggled to grasp how awful this Lions team are, and still didn't learn after the Waratahs game, setting another low line against the Rebels. The Blues are another step up, I still don't feel -16.5 is enough and the Blues should cover it. Could be another good 1st half option here at -7.5.
Jaguares to crush the Highlanders seems like the right play, however the Jaguares do have the ability to switch off, like in their game against the Hurricanes.
Brumbies minus also seems like a common sense play. It is a derby match, and perhaps something of a Wallabies trial match, however even so you'd think the Brumbies will have too much for them.

Blues v Lions "Couch Best Bet: 1st Half Handicap - Blues -6.5 @ 1.76
First Tryscorer - Akira Ioane @ 14.00"
Bit hard for Akira to score first try from the bench! lol

I have been on a poor run recently, hence the silence from my side, but dipping my toes back in with a points treble.
Crusaders under 47.5/Bulls under 22.5/Sharks vs Stormers under 44.5 at 11/2
Like Bulls under 22.5 the strongest of the three so will play that as a single aswell

Reds have no form to suggest that this will be a runaway result, Bulls will be buoyed by their victory against the Highlanders and will be keen to start their tour campaign with a good result.
Marginally in favour of the home side, think winning margin will deviate within 3 points or so from the handicap of -7.5.

As my current form goes the Crusaders unders get killed in extra time. Taken some more Bulls under 21.5 to recover

Reds - 5.5 @ 1.78 into Jags -9.5 @ 1.74 tab nz
Too higher risk to back Sharks v Stormers. Stormers caught napping by ascending Blues Team. Still four out of five and very capable of winning in Durban. Risk reward does not stack. Easier $ found by looking to South America and continued weakness of Landers. Cheers 3P

Ntubeni was very weak last time. Also they are a different side far from home. Lions is the worst squad in my eyes at the moment in the league. They won in Jhnsbrg on in the extra time. I am on the unchanged Sharks train

What are the teams mindsets here Brumbies would think they had a chance to win it here for the Tahs its a seeet mercy.
Psychologically as a player are you mentally in this game knowing it means nothing. Perhaps the Brumbies want to make a statement and the Tahs are happy to end it. I cant see a tight game plan from either side so peehaps overs on points is the call here.

My tab coffers have swelled with the cancellation in Argie. Why am I so mad? Jags were coming home and coffers would have been endowed huge. Moving on. Playing the last game as follows:
Waratahs Over
(19.5)
Waratahs - Total Points
Brumbies v Waratahs
@ 1.83
PS: Despite your lack of recent form Hanrick, your opinion on unders and overs remains highly valued downunder ;- ) Cheers 3P
