Hurricanes -6.5 is a granny's pension fund bet if that price comes up! IMHO

First time ever that my caps have exactly matched yours Brent.

First winning weekend for me after 5 losing.
But after my hot streak in the first 2 weeks, I'm still up on the bookies in the competition overall.
Also right on top or close to top, on all my Superbru pools.

My losses have generally been from taking the first half / second half bets for their higher odds of 6.50 ish. Just can't resist them :) and none have come home.
And first try scorer bets on boys with high odds :S Pure dumbness.

Looking forward to another good 'un ahead :beer

BG V (TAB NZ) Handicaps

Rebels +4.5 (+4.5) v Brumbies
Hurricanes -6.5 (-6.5) v Chiefs
Waratahs +2.5 (+4.5) v Reds
Crusaders -11.5 (-15.5) v Highlanders

I handicapped the Sader game @ -10.5, so have taken a decent strike on Landers +15.5
Expect the line to move lower. Also a big margin sets up some beautiful in play options. Cheers 3P

PS: Winning margin v Chiefs was 6. Even I think the Sevu Reece try was a no try. Bookies have not adjusted.
Last edit: 3 years 7 months ago by threepeat. Reason: Corrected +4.5 on Rebels from an erroneous minus.

Landers +17.5 at 8/10.

I really don't think they Landers are as bad a side as this cap suggests. It's tough to bet against the Saders in Christchurch but this cap is too big. Landers have a great maul and inform players in Smith, Frizell and Dixon.

Under 52.5 in Canes - Chiefs as main strike:

Canes missing Laumape and rain expected in the morning. Should be damp with high winds. I expect Boshier to be a menace at the breakdown and cause a few problems. I also expect big performances from ALB. I'm sticking my neck out on the line and taking Chiefs +8.5 - they should cover this cap.

Double on under 59.5 in Chiefs-Canes and Reds victory at 11/10.

Like that unders in the Canes game TOS and the +17.5 Landers as well - hate backing against the Crusaders though, as they showed the last time they met they are capable of turning a narrow victory into a big win in a few minutes

Don't see myself getting too involved in the Aussie games

Hi guys,

2 bets for the moment:

We're following TOS with U52.5 in canes v chiefs. Rain around in the morning so pitch won't be dry. Also a chance in the afternoon/evening and you can never write it off in NZ! Will also look for in play handicap value as winds look like they'll be strong.

And then taken reds -4.5 against the Tahs. Reds looked great last week and ran the Brumbies very close.

I like Chiefs +8,5 this weekend. Chiefs has been hurt for three weekends in a row.Somewhere somehow ,the wheel will turn.It could be this weekend. The Landers on the plus 17,5 also a good looking bet. They play always good in Christchurh.
I also following TOS on Under 52,5 in Canes /Chiefs game.Chiefs will sharpen their defends.

The best for the Ausies games is to go on the Plus.Big surprises are always on the cards in this games. The Reds on the best plus if available.

You won't get a plus on the Reds but I think they will be supported on the minus

Does anyone know if I will be able to get a bet on the Springboks to whitewash Gatland's B&I Lions next year ?

By persisting with D Mac at 15, he's gonna end on 0-8, having left at least one try out on the field in every game. What a dumb waste of talent by a very average (read poor) coach. I can cry for the kid.

Just my opinion

Let's break the bookies this weekend chaps :beer

If you like that bet you should rather go for:
First team to reach 20 points Brumbies @1.95

Especially with Rebels unders a big play...Rebels points line now sitting at 15.

But wet weather and poor Oz rugby level does not leave a lot of confidence.

Swimming against the tide and going for the Rebels plus 7.5 , if the Brumbies start well as they normally do, will get on the plus Rebels in running as well.
Have also joined on the unders at 40.5 , though for smaller as only going on the weather forecasts at this stage .

In the rugby league game going on right now they are scoring like crazy, it's 10-16 after 35 minutes. :(

the unders 40.5 bet that i had in that rain in the Rebels game soured the plus 7.5 on the rebels and I thought I had stolen it until again a late try screws me.

moving on to Saturday , also inclined to go for the under 50.5 in the chiefs game but it'll be important also to see who has the wind in the first half , I think a small bet on the best plus chiefs is the way to go.

best bet on the card and I'm with the oracle, Waratahs plus the best price .. I think they'll win it .

If that fails my next best is the Highlanders on the best plus on Sunday .

Play well

Under 51.5 points in reds v tahs.

Murphy the ref and should be quite slippery from all the rain. H2H also suggests unders big time!

Canes have been an absolute cash cow for me over the last few weeks (despite me haemorrhaging cash on other games) so no reason to change things.

Full strength Chiefs team would struggle in my view, but they are nowhere near this.
Boshier out is huge - Jacobsen is a great player but not a turnover specialist and is coming in fresh.

Canes -5 @ 1.93

Weather reports suggest rain will be well gone by kick off and wind dying down too. I think there will be points.

Canes over 26.5 points @ 1.83

Canes tries does the business, reinvesting into the Aussie derby -

Tahs + 6.5 @ 0.81. Think they will drag Reds down to their level and an arm wrestle expected. Petaia out for Reds.
