My first pick identical to kc above and going with that. The profile looks more difficult then it will actually ride and the ITT specialists should fill all the top places. If Ganna is near top form I think he wins by 20 seconds plus. Americans always concern me at the Olympics as they seem to be capable of timing everything to peak at that specific moment in time so I would not write off Mcnultys chances of buggering up podium bets.

Main Bet: 5 units Ganna Top 3 NO at 23/20 (Sportingbet)
2 units Dennis win at 9/2(Sunbet) - hard to say where his form is but he has prepared for this and has been climbing well of late
0.5 unit Bettiol podium at 16/1 WSB - climbing better than ever and I am expecting a big ride from a man in form

USA vs Iran
USA have to win by a big score for them to improve their percentage when the group stage finishes, so that they can ensure one of the best two 3rd places.
They must bounce back after the disappointing loss against France, and they will do it in a big way.
Their stars were criticized by the American press for not putting in the effort in defence, losing easy balls and missing lots of shots.
USA will be motivated to win this by a big margin.

Both Germany's matches had lots of goals at both ends of the park, as they lost 2-4 to Brazil and beat Saudi Arabia 3-2.
Ivory Coasts' matches didn't have as many goals, however they beat Saudi Arabia by one goal as well, 2-1, and drew 0-0 with Brazil.
I expect goals in this match too, as it looks like this Germany team cannot keep a clean sheet, and both teams have plenty to play for.

Romania are missing several players from the team that reached the semifinals of the Euro U21.
They play very well defensively and they conceded 4 goals from South Korea only after they had a player red carded before half time.
New Zealand scored in both their matches.
Both teams need to win and I expect them to look for that goal, while taking care of defence.

We have not seen many goals in this group, and Egypt defended very well against attacking powers Spain (0-0) and Argentina (0-1).
The Olyroos didn't show much in attack against Spain (0-1), after their 2-0 against the Argies.
I'm going for another Chris style bet.

Both teams need to win to make sure they finish in a qualifying spot.
Both teams played low scoring matches so far, actually all matches in this group have had between 0 and 2 goals.

Japan are at the top of the group having won both their matches.
France won one and lost one and have a leaky defence (4-3 vs SA and 1-4 vs Mexico).
France will have to come out to score.

Luka Doncic is in great form coming after a very good season in NBA.
He scored 48 points against Argentina (118-100) and I expect him to play again at that high level and push Slovenia towards another win.

Sweden vs France
Sweden has been a nice surprise at this tournament so far. They beat Spain and ROC at comfortable margins, but now they are facing the European runners-up.
France won one and lost one and they must bounce back. They must raise their level and they have enough fight in them. They have been at the top of European Handball for a long time and they know how to deal with such situations, they are the more experienced team.

GB vs Australia
GB are playing tight at the back and in their matches we saw very few goals.
Australia's matches saw many goals in at both ends of the park, except the last one against USA, 0-0.
GB are a strong team and I expect them to score at least once.
Australia have good attacking talent, and having gone one match without a goal, I expect them to address that in this match.

Sweden looks good at this tournament. They open their game up and are dangerous in attack.
They won all their group games by at least two goals and scored in the process.
Japan won only one game and scored 2 goals in 3 matches.

Hungary vs Spain
Spain are coming into this match after two big wins against France and Brazil.
The Spaniards scored 28 goals against France and I think they can score more against Hungary.
Hungary have big problems in defence. They conceded loads of goals, 30 from France and 33 from Brazil, and these are teams that Spain won against. Moreover, in their last game Hungary conceded 38 goals from Russia.

16 Teams participated in four groups each playing three matches. The most goals scored in the group stages was 11 by South Korea. The next best being 8 by Mexico. These two play each other today. I'm tempted by that over 3.5 @ 41/20 but their defenses have been pretty solid so taking

Australia vs Sweden
In the group stage Australia lost to Sweden 2-4. At 3-2, Australia missed a penalty, however Sweden was far superior, with more possession and goal attempts, and they were in control throughout.
In the other matches Australia drew 0-0 with USA and their only win was 2-1 against New Zealand.
In the quarter finals against Great Britain they were within minutes from elimination, but they scored the equalizer, 2-2, in the 89th minute.
In extra time Great Britain missed a penalty before Australia scored twice and qualified to the semis.
Sweden won all their matches in the group stage, 3-0 vs USA, 4-2 vs Australia and 2-0 vs New Zealand.
They qualified easily to the semis by beating Japan 3-1.
Sweden looks very good here, they won all their matches in clear fashion, so I'm taking them for the win in 90 minutes.
Australia doesn't seem to have enough to take it away from Sweden.
I'll take Sweden to score 2 goals, as they have scored plenty in all their matches.

Australia are out of contention, because even if they win, the team will remain on the 5th. They lost to both Montenegro and Serbia, and the head-to-head matches is used as a tie-breaker.
However, I do think that they will give everything to end the tournament on a high note.

Thomas was around 2/1 to win the Gold medal few weeks ago. Shes now as big as 26/1 to win the gold tomorrow. Call me crazy but has to be worth a small go. I am hoping Thomas just had some nerves in the heats this morning and performs much better in the final.

Who’s that price with?
I hope she does show up more so than in semi as have a 100m Thompson double onto her @ 13/2 taken last week. But she really did look a bit off pace, can only hope she was sandbagging a bit.
Anyway no harm at the price as you say, I think top 3 looks very decent.

Mexico scored the most goals in the competition so far, but they also conceded enough.
Brazil weren't as prolific, but they've been tighter in defence.
This doesn't look like a high scoring game, and looking at these two teams, I do expect Brazil to score in 90 minutes, while Mexico are almost a given that they'll score.

Firmly invested in Knighton for the win at 3.75-1, Im just kakking it as he is 17.
You couldnt get me out of my room at that age between 5-7pm on Opentime on M-net.
I hope he does this. He looks Boltesque, almost as if he has another gear if he has to...

Seems a Certainty that WR holder Ryan Crouser will take Gold again and his available at a massive 1/10 to win the gold medal.
A bet that caught my eye was for the WR to be broken. Crouser most recently set a new WR of 23.37 at the US Trials this year. Crouser needed just one throw in the Qualifying round on Tuesday and that was 22.05 meters. If his on his A game he can easily breach the 23m mark again. Dark horses Walsh and Kovacs may have a small part to play here as well.
2 small plays here on the final, both at Sunbet,
Winning distance of 23m or better @ 2.15
WR to be broken @ 4.5

USA vs Australia
USA lost their first match 76-83 to France, but they recovered easily after that, with two comfortable wins, 120-66 vs Iran, and 119-84 vs Czech Republic.
Then they beat Spain 95-81 in the quarterfinals.
Australia beat Nigeria 84-67, then Italy 86-83, then Germany 89-76.
In the quarterfinals they beat Argentina 97-59.
Both USA and Australia are loaded with NBA talent, but they each play a different style. The Americans are stacked with offensive firepower while the Aussies can shoot but also play incredible defense.
One of the strengths for Australia is they can shoot 3s very efficiently.
They get great looks because of ball movement. A key to their offense has been their unselfish play, and five of their rotation players average more than 3 assists per game.
Australia defeated USA 91-83 in an exhibition match in Las Vegas just before the Olympics.
USA are without Bradley Beal now, but they have a better set of perimeter defenders and is deeper with the addition of Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton, and Devin Booker.
The Americans are incredible and have rounded into form, but they’ve done so against lesser competition and a Spanish team that was on its last legs.
This Australian team is young, athletic, and hungry for its first Olympic medal.
Although the United States team has looked great of late, this spread is too big. Australia is ranked third in the FIBA rankings, and with their staunch defense coupled with the ability to nail 3-point shots, I think they can cover this spread.
This Australian team can play and they will be the toughest test the Americans have faced.

Michael Norman form has not been so good leading up to this Olympics and he did struggle in the Semis but managed to Qualify for the final. I don't think he has what it takes to win the Gold today but he should have a chance at a medal.

He is 13/1 to win the Gold though, at that price maybe a small punt.

Sweden vs Canada
Sweden plays beautiful attacking football and they won all their matches in the group stage scoring many goals (3-0 vs USA, 4-2 vs Australia and 2-0 vs New Zeeland. In the quarterfinals they beat Japan without much fuss, 3-1. In the semifinals they beat Australia again, 1-0.
Canada got here by playing defensive football. They rarely had possession and rarely threatened the opposition goal.
They drew 0-0 with Brazil and won on penalties, then they beat USA 1-0 from a penalty, a match dominated by USA.
Will they manage to do the same against Sweden?
Sweden plays very well with long balls behind the defenders and are creating many chances.
I'll go with the team that likes to attack more.
