All Racing Tips w/c 3rd January

Last day of leave and hoping for a better end to my holiday than the last couple of days.

Greyville
Race 1 - Exceed Expectation @ 9/2
Some really good Cape Form, running close behind Voldermort who Marshall stable rate Highly and a good 3rd behind Full House, with its other runs not been the worse form lines with otherr winners

Race 4 - More than a Dime @ 5/1
Drawn widest but a good mass. Will need to step up but a good last run behind Jacqueline. Scratched now but would have been 2nd fav probably

Race 6 - Rose Princess @ 10/1
I really like this one. Comes from some strong Cape Form lines. Ran 3.5l behind the top sort Amanzimtoti giving her half a Kg. She is now rated a 110, so 3.5l isn't to bad for a MR 72. Also dropped 5 points in ratings.

Just seen race and KT robbed in the first, his pick looked set to pounce but massive interference there. Stiff mate.

Awesome racing in the Cape this weekend Fri/Sat, early picks -

QP - Warrior @ around 5/1 to 6/1. Just really like how this one has progressed and some of the quality horses in field might find this a touch sharp.

Paddock - Marina @ around 8/1 to 9/1. All about the trip for me, she will love it, not sure all of field will. CR is classy but @ evens, too short.

Premier - FireAlley @ around 8/1 to 10/1. Massive value for a horse in terrific form, loads to do at weights but think he's right there. DIA the one to beat.

Time to build the kitty for Saturday

Race 7 - Seemyvision - 13/1 ew
Race 8 - Gin and Tonic - 8/1 ew

I like the following for Day 1
Race 1 - Bad Hair Day @ 6/1
Breeding isn’t much but stable/jock combo strike rate is impressive. Worth a go

Race 2 - negiotator @ 10/1
Was backed on first run when showed nothing. Gets 2.5kg off and hoping for better showing

Race 3 - Tamil Tiger@ 6/1
Some decent form and hoping might pop up. Gets top jock up as well
Adira is my second choice. Was disappointing in last but beaten some decent sorts previously

Race 5 - Bayberry@ 8/1
Looking for further but has popped up previously over shorter and will definitely be running on with apple claim and blinkers

Race 6 - Celtic Night @ 10/1 / Jasmine @ 12/1
Celtic Night - beaten the fav previously over distance comprehensively and think will enjoy long straight
Jasmine - Proven herself over longer and getting a nice mass. Might surprise

Race 7 - Mercury Rising @ 18/1 & Kwintas Light @ 20/1
Both have won well over course and distance. Big step up but with light mass can surprise

R7 Favorita @ 25/1 ew. 2nd in this race last year, has peak run and comes good this time of year. On top of them last time out and extra 200m will suit.

Day 1 seems much tougher fields compare to tomorrow. Goodluck guys and hopefully its a profitable day for all.

Race 6 - Jasmine - 13/1 ew
Race 7 - Dancetildaylight - 15/1 ew
Race 8 - L'ami Jean - 19/1 ew

Disappointing end to day with Mercury Rising been declared Non runner, rightly so but still disappointing.

Race 2 - Pure Maverick @ 6/1
Nicely bred and some siblings showed decent pace. Bling seems to be Snaith stable jock at the moment, so worth a shot.

Race 4 - Elusive Trader @ 18/1
Huge drop and loss of form, but on weight turn around to fav on 20 Oct 21, should finish a lot close. 5.75l beating and gets 6kgs. I think Fav will be hard to beat, but stranger things have happened in Cape and Elusive Trader getting weight from most horses on previous runs.

Race 5 - Hoedspruit @ 7/1 & Nexus @ 14/1
Would love to see Do It Again win but think this one holds the balance with exception of DIA. Hoedspruit has huge weight turn around with all runners from Peninsula Handicap. Getting 8kgs from fav for 4.5l beating. And Fourie stays up.
Nexus is one I know stable has made no secret they rate, and on previous runs holds some of more favored runners, any sort of return to form, can pop up.

Race 6 - Princess Calla @ 5/1
At the ratings has more to find to Captains Ransom, but I think she might just be flying at end catch them at the end.

Race 7 - Trip of Fortune @ 15/1 & Pomp & Power @ 17/1
Pomp & Power - Last run was super impressive even if fav's were taken out by eventual winner
Trip of Fortune - Taken out last time, giving another chance at big odds

Race 8 - Gallic Tribe @ 16/1 & Bush Tracker @ 25/1
Gallic Tribe nice horse I think. Bit short of best but with stable jock hoping right one. Could lead them start to finish
Bush Tracker @ 25/1
A couple of decent runs since coming down from Dbn against better. Worth a shot at this price and well drawn. Any sort of run like the RTR sales race, could go close.

very stiff KT. It's frustrating as you just don't know how MR would have got on without the starting gate advantage but clearly horse was very well. I actually thought number of jockeys were looking around after start and not sure it was a true race at all. And Favorita declared a runner but didn't jump, in my view clearly impacted by issues with favourite in next gate but no use me crying over spilt milk.

Race 1 - Blue Eyed Girl @ 20/1 ew.
Excuses in last 2 runs and also slowly away on debut when came late and beat stablemate who's around 3/1 in this race. No harm at these sort of odds in a workriders race.

Race 2 - Pure Maverick @ 17/2 ew.
Also like this one so joining KT, price has drifted a touch but owner could get some compensation after Mercury Rising debacle yesterday.

Race 3 - Gentlemen Joe @ 14/1 ew
No world beaters in field, yard on fire, just has to be slightly above average to feature.

Tough yesterday KT, pathetic to use that overhead footage for the start by the production team. Today seems a much easier card but I am trying to get some returns with some big outsiders. All the best guys.
