This past weekend through up some shock results and overall it was a poor one for me although fortunately I was not able to watch much Super Rugby and so stakes were low

I actually had the newsletter typed up and was waiting for some points lines before sending but my Saturday never went as planned and I never got a chance to send - the newsletter will be back this week

There is a big weekend of rugby ahead with Super Rugby and URC quarter-finals the highlights

URC Quarter Finals - current caps at Sunbet

Ulster -4.5 v Munster
Bulls -4.5 v Sharks
Leinster -16.5 v Glasgow
Stormers -11.5 v Edinburgh

Here are my projected caps for Super Rugby Pacific

Crusaders -15.5 v Reds
Chiefs -9.5 v Waratahs
Blues -12.5 v Highlanders
Brumbies -4.5 v Hurricanes

Here are my projected Currie Cup handicaps

WP +8.5 v Griquas
Cheetahs -9.5 v Pumas
Sharks +7.5 v Lions (assuming Lions select URC players)

There is also Gallagher Premiership action

Here are the early caps at (Sunbet) - not sure if there was early action

Crusaders -15.5 (-18.5) v Reds
Chiefs -9.5 (-9.5) v Waratahs
Blues -12.5 v (-15.5) Highlanders
Brumbies -4.5 v (-2.5) Hurricanes

3 points in the Crusaders game the biggest gap, nothing to rush into at this point

I've got under 56.5 for the Reds game so I expect a final score of 50 - 7. :-)

Pickerill on the whistle, and it’s his moment to shine. I reckon we may get 21-26 FH points, then with the dew, Pickerill and subs intro in the second half, will get the same, or less as crusaders go full defence mode.

I reckon score will be 34-18 to the crusaders - eyeing out that under 53.5 points mark.

And has anyone heard from coil after being kidnapped by the gym mafia last night? We need proof of life!

Against grain a bit, but can’t help but think Saders were so poor last week and some fire from coaches for a better performance tonight. All black places up for grabs or at risk for most in squad.

Saders over 36.5 @ 10/11

Thanks for the shout Chiefie , managed to find my way out of the rabbit warren with my dignity still in tact . Phew we managed to just hold on there , thought there would be a late Crusaders intercept to send us to the off licence for a 6 pack of 8 Ace !!

Can face the rest of the day now with confidence , nice South to get the points by a half ;)

I also fancied Ulster initially, but some key players back for Munster and they do have a knack of rising to the occasion for important matches.

Swayed me into taking either team to win by 7 or less, as i expect it to be a ding dong battle

Last day of the Gallagher Premiership today, and I’m hoping for a points fest in all 6 games. Sky Bet have priced up some accumulators that are worth an interest.

7+ tries each game 6/1
60+ points each game 80/1
Each team to score 15+ 11/2
Each team to score 20+ 25/1
Each team to score 25+ 400/1

Will have another look closer to the time

One for the Lions game later. Along with Jeremy Thrush, here's another lock who has also been loving his meat pies recently:
Ruben Schoeman

Well got the Toulouse one right, but Stade have been true to their usual good on paper but crap everywhere else self.

An interesting venture into following some French rugby betting nonetheless, stake thankfully kept on smallish side given my clear lack of knowledge of French rugby ‘we shall help you survive relegation’ shenanigans.
