Hi guys, a late start to the new week as been away for the weekend

Managed to fit some betting in and it was another Best Bet arrival for the newsletter after the hooter - the acca was nowhere though

Made a few rand overall but nothing to write home about

A similar looking weekend ahead with the NPC finals, Gallagher Prem, Toyota Champs and URC - note we have a separate thread for the Women's Rugby World Cup where the round 2 handicaps are being discussed - click here for RWC betting thread

Not sure if the URC caps are out but here are my predictions

Ospreys +7.5 v Stormers
Connacht +12.5 v Leinster
Lions -1.5 v Ulster
Sharks -9.5 v Glasgow
Cardiff -5.5 v Dragons
Edinburgh -10.5 v Benetton
Scarlets -7.5 v Zebre
Munster -5.5 v Bulls

Have a good punting week

Premiership lines out in the UK (365)

Only thing I like initially is London Irish +10.

I may wait for team news this week before jumping on anything too early.

Small play on Wasps +12 (Umaga is out injured however so will re-assess later) and Northampton -14.

365 also have URC caps out

Standout for me is Dragons +11 @ evens away to Cardiff

Dragons, who appear to have improved this term so far, rested players last week in prep for this game.

Cardiff have won all recent league matches between these 2 by the following margins: 1, 2, 1, 1, 4, 3, & 8 points.

BG capped at +5.5, which I'd probably still take.
(+11 is outstanding value for me)

Gallagher Premiership Caps:

Sale -10.5 v London Irish
Exeter -13.5 v Wasps
Saracens -19.5 v Bath
Northampton -13.5 v Newcastle
Gloucester -6.5 v Bristol
Quins -2.5 v Leicester

Early fancy on the Exeter minus. Wasps with quite a few injury concerns.

Bulls to win. Don't bother with the plus.

Here is how the opening caps (in brackets) compare to mine - 4-5 point difference in Connacht, Lions and Edinburgh games and an 8 point difference in Zebre game

Ospreys +7.5 (+7.5)v Stormers
Connacht +12.5 (+7.5)v Leinster
Lions -1.5 (+3.5) v Ulster
Sharks -9.5 (-11.5) v Glasgow
Cardiff -5.5 (-8.5) v Dragons
Edinburgh -10.5 (-14.5) v Benetton
Scarlets -7.5 (-15.5) v Zebre
Munster -5.5 (-6.5) v Bulls

Taken a multiple at 12/1 Leinster -7.5, Lions +2.5, Benneton +14.5, Zebre +15.5

Agree Exeter -13 a standout for me. Wasps more unstructured approach, ball in hand, is nice on the eye, but Exeter will love playing against a side who come at them. Think it could get messy.

Really like this. Especially if the Sharks throw their Boks back in the mix.

Just gone back for more of this, as Cardiff have a number of injury outs and doubts

Its since dropped to +9, but I'm sure it will keep coming in

Really like the Bulls to win but I am wary of team news. Their backline does not function the same with Mapoe at 13 and Hendricks on the wing. Hopefully Nkosi and Vorster will be back.

Big strike for me on under 57.5 in Llanelli in Scarlets v Zebre.

Feels incredibly high for a Zebre game where the weather could be a bit windy and wet.

Overs o' clock - Friday night lights, Irish are leaky as a sieve but will score some points, Sale keep that scoreboard ticking

The Stormers odds keep shifting towards evens and I cannot figure out why. It's due to be wet in Swansea but the Stormers pack have proved more than capable and with Kitshoff and Dweba off the bench, I think the Ospreys will struggle at scrum time. Taking Stormers on the board and Stormers -2.5

Its not wet in Swansea - the odd light shower but that's it. I've gone Stormers -2 ......

Betting on the Bulls feels like buying electricity. They take my money, but they don’t light up when I need them to. Dire first half.

As useful as a cock flavoured lollipop.
