An exhausting weekend of rugby punting is behind us - my mates never believe I get tired lying on the couch and betting but it is draining.

The Newsletter Best Bet Sharks -12.5 arrived with ease in the end ( Click here to join our free mailing list) ) - the ACCA was a non-runner though

I went well down early taking bets on games I had no firm views on but when Ulster overs and the Sharks minus arrived I was back in front.
That didn't last and when my Netflix didn't work (I was meant to watch Breaking Bad with the wife) I ended up backing the Bulls over 20.5 only for them to aimlessly and unsuccessfully bash at the Munster line with pick and go's for the last 5 minutes - not a brain cell in that pack I can tell you

I was up at 1:30 am for what turned out to be my biggest bet Canada -11.5 - after a slow start they dominated but somehow only led by 17 going into the final 2 minutes. They were in the Italy 22 though and I felt fairly safe but if I had been on a good run of after the hooter ends that trend was about to reverse, Somehow Italy worked their way up the field to score and when the conversion landed it was Canada by 10. I had also lost on England minus against France where despite dominating they couldn't score and I made a call to focus on the points lines going under 65.5 in the Wales v NZL game and u48.5 in Fiji v SA. The NZL unders lost after the hooter when 13 man NZL scored but I did at least hit my final bet of the weekend to end down but excited for next week.

The schedule for this week looks similar with URC, Bunnings Final and Gallagher Premiership and remember we have a separate Womens' Rugby World Cup Betting Thread

Here are my projected URC caps

Benetton +5.5 v Bulls
Connacht -11.5 v Scarlets
Zebre +10.5 v Edinburgh
Lions -4.5 v Glasgow Warriors
Shark -6.5 v Ulster
Leinster -16.5 v Munster
Cardiff +3.5 v Stormers
Dragons +2.5 v Ospreys

Look out for 3 You Tube Previews this week as we look at the World Cup and Gallagher in separate shows with our regular THE HANDICAP show at 21h00 on Thursday

Have a great week and lets make some money this weekend

Will be taking a big strike on Lions -4.5. Glasgow have a huge injury list and some players are flying back to prepare for Autumn Nations Cup

In addition to heaps of injuries apparently a bad stomach bug has hit the Glasgow camp. Think they will be limping into Johannesburg

Delhi-belly, AKA shitting-thru-a-straw. You need to have respect for Durban's 'Charro' curry  :P

Canterbury v Wellington

Under 50.5 @ 1.80

Always risky taking an unders in NPC but it’s a final and Brendon Pickerill on the whistle. Think it will be tight

kinell, had over 41.5 in live play in the Munster game. Hit the post with a conversion that would have won the bet - bitter one to swallow! Now on Stormers -6. I don't think Cardiff are much good really .....

Edit: Cardiff are crap - but not tonight. 11 - 0 after 18mins .....

The Connacht Leinster double taken early doors was almost forgotten about but cancelled out the Leinster overs loss at least

Not sure whether to get involved in the Sunday fixtures and will make a late call

Its a brave man that backs the Dregs even at home, and after they have improved (a little!) - well done!!

Meanwhile I go for the 'safer' option of Sale -8, who are unbeaten this season and winning convincingly while they are at it. Today they get thrashed at home by a Harlequins that have lost 4 out of 6. Go figure ......

Thanks Jameson, I actually pressed at half time as they were level, with the wind and against 13 men for 7 minutes but still 31/20 at Sunbet

Not big bets as I don't like to do damage on a game I am really just punting cause I have nothing else to do but a good end to one of my better weekends

If Sale game was televised here I would have watched that and likely back them
