Sunday once again proved to be my graveyard with an ill advised unders play at Loftus and then the Scotland +8.5 Newsletter bet going missing.
I had a great weekend till then though including hitting the newsletter acca at 11/1 and overall I managed to finish nicely ahead but what a pity about those Scots

This week we have the final round of 6 Nations action (man it has been good), the 4th round of Super Rugby and the 2nd round of Currie Cup

Here are the opening 6 Nations lines

Scotland -18.5 v Italy
France -18.5 v Wales
Ireland -15.5 v England

I am sure that is the 1st time in 6 Nations history we have 3 handicaps over 15 points

Here are my Super Rugby Pacific handicap projections - have a feeling I will be well out on a few

Hurricanes -14.5 v Waratahs
Chiefs -22.5 v Rebels
Blues -6.5 v Crusaders
Brumbies -14.5 v Moana Pasifika
Highlanders -12.5 v Force
Reds -12.5 v Drua

Here are my Currie Cup week 2 projections

Pumas -12.5 v Lions
Bulls +8.5 v WP
Griffons +22.5 v Cheetahs
Griquas +1.5 v Sharks

Lets see if the bookies agree

Hurricanes -7.5 v Waratahs
Chiefs -16.5 v Rebels
Blues -2.5 v Crusaders
Brumbies -12.5 v Moana Pasifika
Highlanders -5.5 v Force
Reds -5.5 v Drua

Chiefs -25.5 v Rebs
Blues -1.5 v Saders
Brumbies -18.5 v Moana
Landers -11.5 v Force

After what ended up as a profitable weekend, with both my Gallagher Premiership multis (all the minuses and all the W's) romping home in fine style at Sportingbet, and my Ireland 13+ rescuing me at Sunbet, I'm salivating for this weekends 6N. :P

I think that the home teams are going to dish out pain to their visitors in this week's final round.
On my Superbru predictions I'm going the home teams by 30 each, but will probably adjust to mid 20s by the weekend :)

I've accordingly laid my first punts of next weekend on accas and individuals, straight up on all the minuses, and will be waiting for the variations, and Sportingbet to appear.
-17.5/-18.5/-15.5 @ 6.64 Sunbet. :woohoo: :woohoo:

I believe I'm in for a big one, and I'll drink to that. Cheers guys :beer :beer

Tahs are shit but if the quote is low enough I'll look at their points. Both the Canes and Blues looked spent after their match.

WSB out with Super Rugby Caps (in brackets to the right) and very close to mine

Hurricanes -14.5 v Waratahs (-15.5)
Chiefs -22.5 v Rebels (-23.5)
Blues -6.5 v Crusaders (-0.5)
Brumbies -14.5 v Moana Pasifika(-18.5)
Highlanders -12.5 v Force (-12.5)
Reds -12.5 v Drua (-12.5)

6 point diff in Blues game and 4 points Brumbies game

I am not going to get involved at this stage, a bit weary of the Crusaders with returning and well rested stars

Yes Highlanders moved quickly here as well, now -17.5

Quite surprised to be so aligned with bookies on CC caps - 3 point difference in the Bulls game the biggest

Pumas -12.5 v Lions (-13.5)
Bulls +8.5 v WP (+11.5)
Griffons +22.5 v Cheetahs (+21.5)
Griquas +1.5 v Sharks (choice)

Rebels +23.5

Taken a solid strike at this and will get more involved closer to game time, likely sell down to Rebels +7.5.

I think the Rebels are undervalued here they have played well in three games while 1-2 they could be 3-0 here. But for first game jitters away to the Force and a Hurricanes game that really just came down to two penalty goals. Key for me is Chiefs weakness at lineout (10th) and discipline (5 yellows) while the Rebels strength is Lineout (1st) and discipline (2 yellows).

There is also a 50/50 chance the Chiefs rest their All Blacks here hence an early strike incase a weaker team is announced. Its either this week or next week away to the Waratahs. Next week vs the Tahs makes more sense with the Blues following that. But perhaps they view the Rebels as an easier matchup and choose to rest here.

Bff I have the opposite feeling in this match.

I like too much the o52.5 even with the strong wind and high humidity.

I was late at the party but happy to take Bulls +4.5 at @1.80 few minutes ago. Now at -1.5 ...

And also o53 @1.854 in Hurricanes-Waratahs, going against the general consensus of an under there.

And in the always interesting Pro D2 I go with 2 fancies:

Colomiers -14 ha @1.833 2u
U44 Vannes-Oyonnax @1.854 2u

In the first one I go with the home team as Aurillac makes big rotation for this match (Smith, Plantier, Kartvelishvili, Javakhia, Maituku, Masterson, Shvangiradze, Delarue, Niko, Coertzeen, Powell Gogoladze all out) and Colomiers almost full strength (no Seguy at 10 nor Dastugue but strong lineup by the way).

In the second one I go against the stats as this should be big overs match, but weather looks pretty bad in Vannes with rain and strong wind. La Rabine is and small stadium so wind will have an impact for sure. Both teams full strength but Vannes should be on point in defence to keep the best team of the season in a low score.

Not a big strike, but I like Canes 1-21 at $1.90 on TAB. Was close to triggering on -14.5, but the weather has swayed me to the 1-21. Predicting a 30 to 10-15ish win for the canes given conditions.

Will post my remaining bets for the weekend later in the evening, good luck all.

Happy start with the Canes 1-21 coming through.

Big plays are Reds -11.5, Scotland 1-21 and following on the Lions o20.5 call on the show which sounds a cracker.

Wasn't planning on being confident on the Reds tomorrow until last weeks results. Drua pushed Reds all the way last year at Suncorp, and they have a support base in Brisvegas. They can go punch for punch with the Reds style. Backing the Reds based on a Drua hangover, Reds bounce back, and an overreaction from the bookies. Very happy to find -11.5.

Expecting an Italy response, they've been decent this tournament. Scotland won't lose but won't hammer a plucky Italy who will throw everything in the last match (after last week's crap). As long as Scotland don't get an early jump, 1-21 will be fine.

Not as bullish on the Brumbies as the forum, for whatever reason I have an inkling Moana will put up a fight. Don't trust Brumbies to put away teams. Will sit it out.

Medium play on Force +18.5, tempted to hammer this as I think it's a good bet but trusting more than 3 units on the Force is insanity for me. Don't expect Landers putting away any team with the way they've been playing, they're trash.

Some great calls lads , unfortunately work getting in the way and have missed the buffet , good weather all around today and we should see lots of points much to my disappointment . Scotland's backline looks very imposing and with Italy now adding a few I'm opening my legs and taking overs at 53.5 points . Hoping Italy can put in a good performance and have taken plus 15.5 at 5/6 .

Same thinking Coil. I got on earlier with Italy +14.5 and over 19.5 points, both 9/10. Think with Scotland missing a key players and Italy really chasing that first win hard and not scared to give the ball some air we could be in for a good one.

Right , next it's France , do they follow their last performance or do they wobble , they seem more consistent so I guess the former thought . Wales are just awful , AWJ gets another start , I mean common the guy is no longer an asset , I just don't know what Wales can create , again points look right but can Wales contribute . Eish .

Like a moth to a light bulb , over French points at 35.5 , over 50.5 points at 5/7 and plus Wales like a victim plus 20.5 .
