Hollies have the 15% bonus, WSB 20% and I saw Betxchange have a 100% bonus up to 10k (10x rollover at 5/10 or bigger) haven't checked the others T&Cs yet

I have given Betx a wide berth for years, simply a shit website - must be the worst in the world
Lately their prices and TGIF deposit bonus have lured me back
In the July they are betting the top 9 horses to 87% against other bookies 100%+
If your horse finishes 2nd in the July you can get up to R1000 back , if you backed it at 5/1 or better - that must be the best offer I've ever seen
In golf as well - simply cannot compare other books prices to theirs - and apparently if your golfer finishes in the top 3 and ties in any of the 4 Majors you get back up to R5000
just wish they would get a proper website - their in running is gross, you just get logged out after a couple of minutes

Kompos I am in agreement on the website - I actually enjoyed their previous one (many years ago) but in areas like golf (and from your post the July) they are a must have

adding a back up to best bet in race 5 -

Soldiers Eye @ 33/1 ew.
Badly interfered with last time out, think Venneker track knowledge could help here and on formlines is right up with favourite through Red Hot Rose.

My take on Jackpot 2 (Races 5-8 ) , an R864 Hail Mary to include a couple of South's big price lurkers and hopefully a big result in the July, I will probably play for about 50%.

Thanks gents, great show and some really good thoughts.

RC 1
WN #11 SI - ran on well from a bad draw last time ... expect the same. 33/10
EW #2 Betula - Nice draw, good formalines, expect improvement . 8/1
Roughie - None

RC2
EX bx #4 OK and #1 MD ....

RC3
SW #4,5,7,14

RC4
WN #10 AM - Decent jock, low weight and proven to stay, and if there's pace in the race, which there should be with White Fang, will go for home just before the bend with 1 or 2 to catch. Runway Song big runner, but the weight puts me off. 3/1
EW #2 FS - .... Unknown, trying the distance, but stable(dad in the past) likes these experiments with stayers.

RC5
Mrs G hard to oppose, but will try and beat her with some roughies ... #1 TT 20/1 #5 RA 20/1 and #10 SE 33/1 .. weighted to places and TF ...

RC6
#8 MT - EW ... Roy normally brilliant with bring the babies on ... 14/1

RC7
Open , in the camp of the 4yr olds ... TF bx #4 WM, #12Pacaya, #15Rascallion, #18PP

RC8
top 2 tough to oppose ...

RC9
#5 SO - Blinkers on again, will give the 1200 turn a good bash at Greyville ...14/1

RC10-12 Poly races (11&12)
Quasi4sure 5/1 down in trip, Asiye Phambili 5/1 .. AD from HW comments positive (take the HW ex in this race) and Formagear 6 /1 .. (ATC Places 10/1)

Thank you Willow, don't want to add to the cost of your perm in such a wide open Race 10 but Royal has been working well and I think he is a player and especially at 16/1

Some great thoughts guys.

Race 1 - Moving In @ 14/1
Last run was decent behind some top sorts, all running in the graded juvenile features. Lerena keeps the ride and on breeding looks like looking for this trip.

Race 2 - Main Defender @ 15/4
I dont like taking such a short price, but really thought last run was impressive. Will probably take boxed Trifecta 1/3/4/5

Race 4 - Prime Example @ 33/1 & Rex Union @ 15/1
Prime Example - Remember when was still trained by Soma, him saying he thought this one would be a top stayer. Still young for a stayer but has beaten harder knockers. Big step up but taken 15/10 top 6 as well.
Rex Union - Old one following for awhile and come closer last year.
My big outsider will be Fight Song but waiting for tomorrow hopefully to get a big price. Been by Noble Tune, distance shouldn't be a problem and stable sometimes pops up with surprise stayers.

Race 5 - White Pearl @ 14/1 & Soldiers Eye @ 33/1
White Pearl - last 2 wins over distance were impressive in Jhb and gets services of De Melo.
Soldiers Eye - same as South, and on a line through Red Hot Rose, holds the fav.

Race 7 - Rascallion @ 20/1 & on the old boy, Do It Again

Race 9 - Full Velocity @ 33/1 & Stiplek @ 33/1
Full Velocity - On previous runs holds the fav. Yes drawn wide but I am hoping with light mass will be flying at end.
Stiplek - Stable mate scratched and gets draw one. Holds some of favs on Cape Form

Race 11 - Zinkele @ 10/1
Looks like likes the poly and could surprise. Won course and distance. Also think Owners and stable maybe winless still by this stage, so worth a shot.

Race 12 - Stormy Winter @ 13/1 & Mo Jive @ 10/1
Well drawn, and gets services of top KZN Jock. And female allowance.

Enjoy the racing and good luck Mackem with Royal, will be shouting him home.

Race 1

Secret Identity won very well last time from a poor draw , drawn a little better today and is the one to beat . My lurker is Betula , drawn well and the stabe does well with their fillies.

Race 2

Main Defender changed stables to the High Octane stable of Tony Peter and skated home on her Joburg debut , is one for the short list, Outlaw King is my narrow choice from the Joburg raider .

Race 3

Aragosta did not settle at Scotsville last time and can improve on that run , he is my first choice , Shango runs well at Greyville and could be worth an ew interest.

Race 4

Tough race , my fancy here is the Joburg stayer Arumagum , should be suited by the track and stable is good with longer events .

Race 5

Miss G is a sensation , first time at Greyville but has a sound turn of foot and will be tough to beat . Rascova my roughie.

Race 6

Wide open but leaning towards Sandringham Summit , but stable rarely travels and comes with health warning .

Race 7

First choice Pacaya , second Pomp and Power for the Snaith team

Race 8

Desert Miracle and Princess Cala should fight it out , I'm hoping for a good run from Gimme a Shot at a big price.

Race 9

Very open and fancy Full Prospect on ew terms , has plenty class and top combination.

Race 10

Captain Fontane loves the track and is my first choice , ew fancy is Look for Hounds who should improve plenty from last run .

Race 11

I'm leaning towards Kailene here , though drawn wide I think her last win was impressive and she can go close again.

Race 12

My best bet of the day has arrived and hopefully can turn a good day into a better one , USA's Hope ran in snatches last time and think this track will suit him well .

Play well peeps

Pretty much held my own with Winchester and another place from the preview picks in the video with Brent, could have done with anoher one. What a shame about the circus with load shedding that brought an early end to racing, our boy was on his way down to the start when the lights went out. Thanks to everyone for their July thoughts.
