The Rugby Champs is behind us and for me it is good riddance as I had a very poor tournament

Good news is that there is plenty of International rugby to come in the next few weeks as we build up to RWC23

Here are this weekends fixtures, there may be more - I will handicap Boks and All Black games but will wait for betting for N Hem matches

Bledisloe Cup
New Zealand -28.5 v Australia

Argentina +5.5 v Boks

Reminder this is where I expect the handicap to start

Other Internationals

Scotland v France
Wales v England
Ireland v Italy

The Bunnings NPC gets going this weekend - here are the week 1 fixtures

Tasman v Otago
Taranaki v Counties Manukau
Hawkes Bay v Harbour
Manawatu v Wellington
Northland v Canterbury
Bay of Plenty v Auckland
Southland v Waikato

Look forward to your views

Nervous times for a Welshman! An inexperienced squad (but fit and fast) and the 'Great White Orc' rock up in Cardiff on Saturday....

Could be anything from a 'plucky loss' to 'a romp to victory' but these RWC warm ups have a history of going with the home side. That and the Orc coach 'Borthers' not proven and the bookies giving us a 5 point start? Good enough for me.

Jocks have gone full strength. No French team yet, but widely expected to be a "B" team.

As such, bet Scotland +5.5 @ 1.91

(Not large stakes - these are warm up or trial games after all)

The All Blacks made 12 changes to the team that last played Australia. Jan Foster kept only three players and will field many debutants.

"No disrespect", it was said. Eddie Jones said he doesn't see it as disrespectful, as everyone has the World Cup on their minds and they are preparing for that.

The thing is, the All Blacks can afford it! They can afford to field the reserves, because they've already done the hard work. If the Wallabies see it disrespectful, or complain, they should do something about it on the pitch. They should win this and win it emphatically, if they want to prove a point. Not just a scrappy win, but a win that would never have been in doubt.

If they lose the match, then it would be the equivalent of Jan Foster saying "I told you so".

I have to take Tasman -8.5 @1.70 2u // Tasman o32.5 very nice as well.

Very strong compo, specially the center partnership. Bench stronger as well, Otago not bad, specially the lose trio, but weak in the center and the bench. For me should be an easy win for the home side.

I add Hawkes Bay -5.5 @1.75 2u. Strong squad this season with the expected returns of Weber and Fakatava while North Harbour will sorely miss Telea and Stevenson in the backline. They have a strong forward pack but backline looks pretty weak with a lot of unexperienced players (apart from Booth, Gatland and Taefu).

Not lineups yet but looks to me that HB should be more favourite.

Had a look at teams for tomorrow's games and like Taranaki. Will be windy in New Plymouth, but no rain predicted.

Taranaki over 31.5 points at 9/10 and Taranaki -8.5 at 17/20.

Also think Otago can score more than 21.5 points against Tasman.

Let the battle begin www.twitter.com/hanrickswart

The Springboks are poorer without Duane and Eben. A team without either of them is really in trouble. If Wiese gets targeted who else will secure go forward ball?

Boks under 27.5 points

"No team is as good or as bad as their last game."

Is there a beer that the Oracle doesn't like? If so get a case of it in ready. At least this way you can draw some comfort from the fact that even though you paid for it, he wont be enjoying it..... :-)

I go with o62.5 @1.89 2u in Manawatu-Wellington game. Not best weather conditions as it will be cold and humid but both are positive teams in attack and with weak defences, specially Manawatu.

This game is so kak. Pedestrian at best. How is the points line set at 62.5?

Won’t get 30 points in this game.

6-3 at HT.

I think for these opening NPC rounds, it has to be an unders play. Appears bookies are setting their points lines on legacy/historical results, so real opportunity to hammer the unders I think!

I take this one, horrible match and horrible bet, you may be right with the unders perspective. What I don't take is Hawkes Bay result playing against a worse team than them.

Sticking with all unders in the international games today, hoping it’s a trend that sticks!

Going unders across the points (around 54.5 -56.5) @5-1.

Cheers PMW

Brilliant just seen this now, I took a range of o21.5 and o20.5 plays and was convinced the BB was 21.5 but remember taking a late call to take the 8/10 and lower line

A pretty average weekend for me in the end with a small profit
