International Rugby, Bunnings Rd, Toyota Challenge 3 21-27 August

Very much a break square weekend for me with the England loss cancelling out the Bok win

Following South on Marx FTS meant I edged ahead although was disappointed when we went for posts at the end given i was on Bongi LTS

The RWC is getting close and here are this weeks warm up fixtures and my handicap projection on Boks game

New Zealand -4.5 v South Africa (this is assuming both close to full strength)
Spain v Argentina
Chile v Argentina XV

Not even going to try and cap the bottom 2 games and there may be more internationals I have missed

The Bunnings NPC continues and we have a midweek game with betting out

Wellington -5.5 v Tasman

I don't know anything about it yet but see there is betting on a Toyota Challenge match between the Cheetahs and the Western Force on Friday '

Cheetahs -10.5 v Force (at WSB)

A quick search is not conclusive but I assume there are other fixtures this weekend - perhaps some betting opportunities

Taranaki -5.5 v Bay of Plenty
Otago -11.5 v Southland
Waikato -8.5 v Counties

These RWC warmups are a bit of a lottery so keeping stakes low, but have taken 3 early plusses.

Fiji +11.5
Georgia +17.5
Samoa +24.5

All at 17/20.

Might be way off, but expecting England, Scotland and Ireland to experiment a bit with the teams.

Thanks Hanrick , I concur with all three . England will be so desperate for a win but I could even see Fiji winning this one , England are atrocious at the moment and much will depend on whether they change the team a lot , the current lot besides a few are very average.

Similar thoughts with Georgia , I expect Scotland to rotate a fair amount and this should allow the visitors to play positively .

Ireland have to rotate plenty too , Samoa have improved and hoping they turn out a good side .

Ireland are also playing their match in FRANCE and not in Ireland. Worth noting.

Personally I find it hard to follow a Fiji plus with enough confidence to risk any bankroll. I can make a case for it going both ways in this fixture.

Weekend double:
Ire -22.5 X Fiji + 11.5pts

Farrell will change a few for Ireland but the wider squad are well drilled in play systems so I don't expect a let up.

England are just guff right now. Always a chance they'll come good but they seem way off the pace now
Will also be looking to play Fiji pts line 18 - 22 pts

Confident on Lyon +9.5 ha @1.80 2u

SR with lots of absences due to WC (11 starters if I don't remember wrong) while Lou is not as affected. Lou lost Doussain for the whole season but Pages is a nice substitute.

For me this should be a one score match

Scotland have basically gone full bore - The bookies had expected some change.

I am snapping up -16.5 and -17.5.

This will end up in the twenties pre kick off I expect.

Boks over 2.5 tries @ 10/11

Always felt NZ could be thinking about that crunch game against France in a couple weeks time. Can’t afford to lose any key players for that game. Boks with Wales game under belt and time in UK I feel can really trouble them. Was considering win only but will stick to a more favourite market of mine.

Was great to attend the MSC Sports Quiz as a guest of Pokerbet last night and actually be recognized as the host of THE HANDICAP by a few punters

Good news is that while it didn't take place last night we go live at 12h00 today with a New Zealand guest - link to show below - join us for lunch!

Don't like any Bok team without Willie. Esterhuizen and Moodie combo to take time to shape. Who knows with Libbok.

Unfortunately I won't be at the game but I shall be watching the match tonight from Twickenham at a local pub .
Matt Carley is the referee , so that's an English ref , he normally likes a few points but I think they might be hard to come by tonight , if I can get under 50.5 I'll have a strike .
I have managed to get some plus 5.5 the Bok's at evens and think this really could go either way .

Initially I liked Fiji quite strongly and after looking through the sides I'm still in that camp but less confident , so a small to medium bet there on plus 14.5 . Jaco Peyper in charge . The game is back at Twickenham so the pitch could play a role ?

Luke pearce is the ref on Sunday for France v Australia at Stade du France , weather looks ok .
Australia are littered with average players but despite them being hopeless they may well have a chance if France go easy .
Might be a game to wait and see , either have a bet just before kick off on the best plus or preferably to have a strike on the Wallabies if France start strongly .

What a destruction from Boks. NZ looked undercooked. Had a firm strike on the over 2.5 tries so a good bank building for RWC.

Rain possibly at Twickenham so just 2 exotics for now -

1st try Dan @ 10/1
Last try Ravouvou Letsgogo @ 16/1

The Boooks were great last night , their start was very convincing and their intensity was impressive but Like Hanrick mentioned how much can be taken from this performance ?

Getting a little cloudy and like South mentioned there may be a few drops of rain during the England game . It is the kind of game that England could beat the cap but as I mentioned earlier Fiji have improved their consistency particularly the last few years and I expect them to go close .

In the other game's there is not much different , Georgia I still fancy a little on the plus , Samoa on the plus and the Nips on the best place .

Should be a great afternoon

I really like an overs bet as you can enjoy the game for what it is and celebrate each score regardless. But I'm getting absolutely murdered betting on them. This snoozzzzzz fest at Twickers now - promising start, sun shining, in comes the rain and no score for 25 mins .....

8 - 3 half time and overs gone. Jeeesssuuussss.

Come on Fiji!

Got some ammo in the tank thanks to Fiji and the half time tip from @ukrugbybets for them to win at 10/1

Anyone got any fancies for the 5:30pm games?

First thoughts would be Capuozzo to score and maybe points in both games
