Ravens vs Bengals, NFL Week 11 Betting Preview and Tips, Thursday 16th November
Coming off a pair of surprising Week 10 losses at home, the Ravens and Bengals will be looking to bounce back and pick up a win in this crunch Week 11, Thursday Night Football Divisional match-up.
Ravens vs Bengals, Thursday 16th November, Baltimore, KO 20:15 (US time), 03:15 (SA time)
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens have been a welcome surprise in the AFC this season and head into this crucial AFC North Divisional game with a 7-3 record. The Ravens had the chance to top the AFC Conference last Sunday but squandered a 31-17 lead late in the 4th quarter to lose to the Browns 31-33. The team and star QB Lamar Jackson will be hoping to turn things around tonight and get back to winning ways against the Bengals. The Ravens have a 3-2 record at home this season and, in all three wins, have kept their opponents scoring in single digits.
Leading up to Week 11, the Ravens provide plenty of value in the outright markets for bettors. For US bettors, DraftKings have the Ravens at +600 to win the AFC and +1200 to win the Super Bowl.
SA fans looking to back the Ravens on any outright markets can head to Pokerbet and claim the 6.50 for an AFC Championship and 13.00 for a Super Bowl win.
Cincinnati Bengals
After a slow season start and an unfit Joe Burrows, the Bengals were 1-3 after four games. However, with an upturn in form and results thanks to the improved fitness of star QB Joe Burrows, the Bengals quickly reeled off four straight wins and were firmly back in playoff contention. The shock home loss to the Texans last Sunday has made this AFC North Divisional game against the Ravens even more significant. With a 5-4 record, the Bengals can’t afford a loss and a slip to 0.500 in the playoff race.
US bettors, after an outright punt on the Bengals, can get +800 for the team to win the AFC and +1800 to win the Super Bowl over at DraftKings.
Pokerbet has the best odds for SA fans backing the Bengals, with 9.00 and 19.00, for the team to win the AFC Championship and Super Bowl, respectively.
Key Players to watch
Baltimore Ravens - Ravens fans and bettors will be hoping for a strong showing from star QB Lamar Jackson and WR pair Zay Flowers and Odell Beckham Jr.
Cincinnati Bengals - For the Bengals to leave Baltimore with a win, much is expected from QB Joe Burrows and elite WR Ja’Marr Chase.
Recent Head to Head Record
Sept 17 2023 – Bengals 24 - 27 Ravens
Jan 8 2023 – Bengals 27 - 16 Ravens
Oct 9 2022 – Ravens 17 - 19 Bengals
Dec 26 2021 – Bengals 41 - 21 Ravens
Oct 24 2021 – Ravens 41 - 17 Bengals
Latest Betting
Ravens -3.5 points at 9/10 or -110
Bengals +3.5 points at 9/10 or -110
O/U 46 points at 9/10 or -110
Note, odds quoted are available at the time of writing but are subject to change.
Verdict and Betting Tips
After a dismal Thursday Night Football offering in Week 10, NFL fans and bettors are in for a treat tonight. The much-awaited showdown between AFC North Divisional rivals the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals promises to be an exciting game with plenty of ramifications for the playoff spots. The bookies expect a close encounter, and the US and South African books price the
Ravens as small favourites at 9/10 or -110. The game may come down to a moment of brilliance, and it is hard to separate either side. Instead of backing an outright winner, I am heading to the prop markets.
The Bengals have allowed a ridiculous 330+ passing yards over their last three games, and they should struggle again tonight against a lethal Ravens offense. Ravens WR Odell Beckham Jr. recently has been seeing more of the ball and has finally broken his TD duck. Beckham Jr.’s Receiving yards line is set at 26.5, and I think he clears that tonight with a few yards to spare. Beckham Jr. has cleared 27+ yards in 6/8 games this season, and I project him to be around 30+ yards tonight.
Suggested Bets – Odell Beckham Jr. over 26.5 Receiving Yards at -115 at Draftkings (US Bettors)
Odell Beckham Jr. over 26.5 Receiving Yards at 17/20 at Pokerbet (SA Bettors)
Note, odds quoted are available at the time of writing but are subject to change.

This Thanksgiving, there are three games to sink your teeth into and the bonus of a Friday night game to whet the appetite of bettors further.
Lions vs Packers, NFL Week 12 Betting Preview and Tips, Thursday 23rd November
Thanksgiving football starts with a NFC North Division rivalry as the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers lock horns.
Lions vs Packers, Thursday 23rd November, Detroit, KO 12:30 (US time), 19:30 (SA time)
Detroit Lions
Before I can even look ahead to Week 12, I must say a word about that amazing comeback by the Lions last weekend. With 4 minutes left to play in the 4th quarter and staring down the barrel at 14-26 down to the Bears, no one would have expected the Lions to turn things around. Boy, did they do that and more, and in a remarkable final few minutes, the Lions reeled off two touchdowns and a safety to claim a 31-26 win.
Looking at the NFC standings after Week 10, not many would have the Lions sitting in second place. Much was expected of the team this season, but even hardcore Lions fans would lie if they said they expected their team to have an 8-2 record. As we head into Thanksgiving and all the joys, food, and Black Friday deals that it brings, Lions fans will be hoping for yet another win against the Packers and head into Week 13 with a 9-2 record.
US/UK Betting - Leading up to Week 12, the Lions are priced at +500 to win the NFC and +1000 to win the Super Bowl (Bet365).
SA Betting - Leading up to Week 12, the Lions are priced at 6.50 to win the NFC and 12.00 to win the Super Bowl (Sportingbet).
Green Bay Packers
When it looks like the Packers are in the Wildcard race, they suffer a loss and fall back to below .500. The Packers just can’t seem to string consecutive wins and currently have a 4-6 record. The Thanksgiving game away against the Lions is a must-win game for the team, and anything short of a win will most likely kill any hopes they may have had for reaching the playoffs. After being an NFL contender under the stewardship of star QB Aaron Rodgers for many years, the Jordan Love era has not been a good one so far.
US/UK Betting - Leading up to Week 12, the Packers are priced at 100/1 to win the NFC and 200/1 to win the Super Bowl (Bet365).
SA Betting - Leading up to Week 12, the Packers are priced at 81/1 to win the NFC and 150/1 to win the Super Bowl (Sportingbet).
Key Players to watch
Detroit Lions – Jared Goff, David Montgomery, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta.
Green Bay Packers – Jordan Love, Aaron Jones, AJ Dillon and Christian Watson.
Recent Head to Head Record
Sept 29 2023 – Packers 20 - 34 Lions
Jan 9 2023 – Packers 16 - 20 Lions
Nov 6 2022 – Lions 15 - 9 Packers
Jan 9 2022 – Lions 37 - 30 Packers
Sept 21 2021 – Packers 35 - 17 Lions
Latest Betting
Lions -8.5 points at 9/10 or -110
Packers +8.5 points at 9/10 or -110
O/U 47 points at 9/10 or -110
Note, odds quoted are available at the time of writing but are subject to change.
Verdict and Betting Tips
As per NFL Thanksgiving tradition, the Lions kick off the day with a home game against their Division rival, the Packers. The Packers are 4-6 this season, but don’t let that foot you. They have struggled when facing better teams, and this season, the Lions are much better than the Packers. The Packers have struggled against teams that run the ball, and in Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, the Lions have two standout RBs. Lions control the clock, beat the Packers on the ground, and send their Detroit home happy and in the perfect mood to tuck into their Thanksgiving dinner.
Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs will be sharing rushing duties with Montgomery tonight, but we can exploit his catching skills. Gibbs has been the preferred RB for the passing game for the Lions and heads into week 12 with 37 receptions in 8 games. Over his last four games, his receiving yards read as 58,37,35,57, and he has averaged four receptions a game this season. Tonight, his receiving yards line is set at 27.5, and he should get over that irrespective of the game script.
Suggested Bets
Jahmyr Gibbs over 27.5 Receiving Yards - 1.90 (Bet365 & Sportingbet)
Note, odds quoted are available at the time of writing but are subject to change.

After the traditional Lions Thanksgiving game, the Cowboys are next in store for fans and bettors, and the Cowboys will hope to keep the people of Texas in high spirits when they host the Commanders in an NFC East Division game.
Cowboys vs Commanders, Thursday 23rd November, Texas, KO 16:30 (US time), 23:30 (SA time)
Dallas Cowboys
With a 7-3 record and on course for the playoffs, the Cowboys head into Thanksgiving with four wins out of their last five games and are 4-0 at home. Dallas has made the AT&T Stadium something of a fortress and, in four games, have kept their opponents to a combined 50 points. Another routine win against a Commanders side is expected Thursday afternoon/night, and the team will hope to close the gap to the Eagles and Lions in their pursuit of NFC glory.
US/UK Betting - Leading up to Week 12, the Cowboys are priced at +500 to win the NFC and +1000 to win the Super Bowl (Bet365).
SA Betting - Leading up to Week 12, the Cowboys are priced at 6.00 to win the NFC and 11.00 to win the Super Bowl (Sportingbet).
Washington Commanders
What is there to say about the Commanders and the 2023 season? For most fans and the team, it has been a disappointing season that will be forgotten soon. A poor 4-7 record has the team reeling, and their playoff hopes are all but over for another season. It is more about looking ahead to next season for the Commanders, hoping for more favourable draft picks and a better squad.
US/UK Betting - Leading up to Week 12, the Commanders are priced at 250/1 to win the NFC and 300/1 to win the Super Bowl (Bet365).
SA Betting - Leading up to Week 12, the Commanders are priced at 500/1 to win the NFC and 1000/1 to win the Super Bowl (Sportingbet).
Key Players to watch
Dallas Cowboys – Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, Tony Pollard and Micah Parsons.
Washington Commanders – Sam Howell, Brian Robinson Jr., Terry McLaurin and Antonio Gibson.
Recent Head to Head Record
Jan 8 2023 – Commanders 26 - 6 Cowboys
Oct 2 2022 – Cowboys 25 - 10 Commanders
Dec 27 2021 – Cowboys 56 - 14 Commanders
Dec 12 2021 – Commanders 20 - 27 Cowboys
Nov 26 2020 – Cowboys 16 - 41 Commanders
Latest Betting
Cowboys -13.5 points at 9/10 or -110
Commanders +13.5 points at 9/10 or -110
O/U 48.5 points at 9/10 or -110
Note, odds quoted are available at the time of writing but are subject to change.
Verdict and Betting Tips
The Thanksgiving game with the biggest spread and the Cowboys should notch up another convincing win. The problem with these big spreads is that once a team runs away with a lead, they pull their starters and leave their opponents with a chance to cover the backdoor spread. So I am shying away from the Cowboys on the spread and attacking the poor Commanders Secondary.
The Commanders Secondary have been pathetic against teams who throw the ball and have conceded an average of 250+ yards a game. The Cowboys WRs are in for a Thanksgiving treat tonight and should rack up the yards. Cowboys star WR CeeDee Lamb should have a field day, and with him being double-teamed, there is an opportunity to have another Cowboys WR in Brandin Cooks.
After a poor start this season, Cooks has finally come to the party for the Cowboys and is currently on an impressive run. He has surpassed 40+ receiving yards in 3 of his last four games and should thrive against this Commanders Secondary. I also like his over 3.5 reception line, especially at odds against, and I would recommend that to anyone who is after bigger odds as well.
Suggested Bets
Brandin Cooks over 36.5 Receiving Yards - 1.90 (Bet365 & Sportingbet)

Rounding up the Thanksgiving action is a mouth-watering match-up in the NFC West Division, as the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers lock horns.
Seahawks vs 49ers, Thursday 23rd November, Seattle, KO 20:20 (US time), 03:20 (SA time)
Seattle Seahawks
After a strong start to the season, the Seahawks have come unstuck over their last three games. A pair of losses sandwiched with a win has left the team with a 6-4 record. The NFC West Division game against the 49ers takes on extra priority as a win against their rivals will put them firmly back in the race for Divisional honours.
In what promises to be the standout game on Thanksgiving, many Seahawks fans will be hoping their team can put in a dominant display and head into Week 13 with a 7-4 record and an eye on Divisional glory. A loss to the 49ers will likely put to bed any Divisional hopes the team may have for another season.
US/UK Betting - Leading up to Week 12, the Seahawks are priced at +2000 to win the NFC and +4000 to win the Super Bowl (Bet365).
SA Betting - Leading up to Week 12, the Seahawks are priced at 21.00 to win the NFC and 41.00 to win the Super Bowl (Sportingbet).
San Francisco 49ers
The season could not have started any better for the 49ers, and after a 5-0 start, the Super Bowl was firmly in the sights of fans and players. However, the team suffered a dip in form in their next three and quickly slipped to 5-3. However, the team rallied back over their last two games and with two more wins, they now have a 7-3 record and are leading the NFC West Division.
The key NFC West Division matchup on Thanksgiving will determine the road to the playoffs for the 49ers, and a home will solidify their position at the top of the Division and a home playoff game. Should the 49ers keep their squad fit and healthy, they are one of the serious contenders to win the Super Bowl.
US/UK Betting - Leading up to Week 12, the 49ers are priced at +200 to win the NFC and +500 to win the Super Bowl (Bet365).
SA Betting - Leading up to Week 12, the 49ers are priced at 3.25 to win the NFC and 5.50 to win the Super Bowl (Sportingbet).
Key Players to watch
Seattle Seahawks – Geno Smith, Kenneth Walker, DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
San Francisco 49ers – Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk.
Recent Head to Head Record
Jan 14 2023 – 49ers 41 - 23 Seahawks
Dec 16 2022 – Seahawks 13 - 21 49ers
Sept 18 2022 – 49ers 27 - 7 Seahawks
Dec 5 2021 – Seahawks 30 - 23 49ers
Oct 3 2021 – 49ers 21 - 28 Seahawks
Latest Betting
Seahawks +7 points at 9/10 or -110
49ers -7 points at 9/10 or -110
O/U 44 points at 9/10 or -110
Note, odds quoted are available at the time of writing but are subject to change.
Verdict and Betting Tips
With a quick turnaround since Sunday for both teams, the 49ers come into this game with a fit and healthy team. Whereas, the Seahawks are without their main RB Kenneth Walker, and QB Geno Smith is not fully fit. The -7 on the 49ers will shift closer to game time should Smith not play, and for now, the current spread is value.
The 49ers' dip in form after a 5-0 start was mainly due to the injuries of key players. After the recent bye and the demolition job in Jacksonville, the 49ers are prime and ready to challenge for top honours and can make a statement with a convincing win tonight. The 49ers win, cover the spread tonight, and put the NFC West Division threat of the Seahawks to bed.
Suggested Bets
San Francisco 49ers –7.0 spread - 1.90 (Bet365 & Sportingbet)
Note, odds quoted are available at the time of writing but are subject to change.

What better way to celebrate Black Friday and sports betting bonuses than to relax, catch an NFL game and place a few bets as the New York Jets take on the Miami Dolphins.
Jets vs Dolphins, Friday 24th November, New York, KO 15:00 (US time), 22:00 (SA time)
New York Jets
What was supposed to be a dream season for the Jets under star QB Aaron Rodgers has become a nightmare for fans. After losing their main man and star, who they picked up from the Packers in the offseason, in just the first game this year, the team has struggled and has a dismal 4-6 record. In simple terms, the Jets' defence is at an all-star level, but the offence without Rodgers and under the stewardship of QB Zach Wilson has been a disaster. It has gotten so bad that Wilson has been dropped for this game, and like his Jets career, the playoff dream of the Jets is also most likely up in flames.
US/UK Betting - Leading up to Week 12, the Jets are priced at 100/1 to win the AFC and 200/1 to win the Super Bowl (Bet365).
SA Betting - Leading up to Week 12, the Jets are priced at 81/1 to win the AFC and 151/1 to win the Super Bowl (Sportingbet).
Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins have a 7-3 record, one hand in the AFC East Division, and one foot in the playoff race. Beating teams that they should be beating has not been a problem for the Dolphins this season. However, when they have come up against Super Bowl calibre teams, they have struggled, most notably against the Chiefs and Eagles, where they suffered losses.
Most Dolphins fans would have had their heart in their mouths last weekend when star WR Tyreek Hill went off injured midway through the first half. Thankfully, he came back on and seemed to move well. If the Dolphins have Super Bowl aspirations, they will need Hill to be at 100% for the remainder of the season.
US/UK Betting - Leading up to Week 12, the Dolphins are priced at +400 to win the AFC and +900 to win the Super Bowl (Bet365).
SA Betting - Leading up to Week 12, the Dolphins are priced at 5.00 to win the AFC and 10.00 to win the Super Bowl (Sportingbet).
Key Players to watch
New York Jets – Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, Sauce Gardner and CJ Mosley.
Miami Dolphins – Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, Raheem Mostert and Jaylen Waddle.
Recent Head to Head Record
Jan 8 2023 – Dolphins 11 - 6 Jets
Oct 9 2022 – Jets 40 - 17 Dolphins
Dec 19 2021 – Dolphins 31 - 24 Jets
Nov 21 2021 – Jets 17 - 24 Dolphins
Nov 29 2020 – Jets 3 - 20 Dolphins
Latest Betting
Jets +9.5 points at 9/10 or -110
Dolphins -9.5 points at 9/10 or -110
O/U 41 points at 9/10 or -110
Note, odds quoted are available at the time of writing but are subject to change.
Verdict and Betting Tips
Jets fans are lucky that this game is a day after Thanksgiving, so their mood and appetite should be good on Thursday. However, once Friday comes around, it will unfortunately be a Black Friday for the team and fans, not because of the amazing specials. The Jets have had an underwhelming season after high expectations, and as a bettor, it is impossible to trust any of their men to get you a win.
Instead, I am targeting the Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert for this game. I expect the Dolphins to see off the Jets in New York comfortably, and the game script will favour Mostert with plenty of rushing attempts. With doubt surrounding the fitness of RB partner De’Von Achane, Mostert is in line to thrive under the bright lights on Friday night.
Mostert has been in imperious form over the past few weeks and notched up back-to-back games of 80+ rushing yards. Expect him to clear 60 yards with something to spare tomorrow night.
Suggested Bets
Raheem Mostert over 59.5 Rushing Yards - 1.85 (Bet365 & Sportingbet)

San Francisco 49ers –7.0 spread - 1.90 (Bet365 & Sportingbet)
Raheem Mostert over 59.5 Rushing Yards - 1.85 (Bet365 & Sportingbet)
If you are after a bet without the risk of player injuries, an alternate spread on the Lions, Cowboys, 49ers, and Dolphins is a solid option. Below is a suggested alt. spread accumulator:
Lions -3.5 / Cowboys -6.5 / 49ers -3.5 / Dolphins -3.5 at 4/1 (Bet365 & Sportingbet)

Week 16 Thursday Night Football
Rams vs Saints tonight and both teams are 7-7 but I think the Rams are a better team at the moment. Saints have won their last two games convincingly but you cant read much into beating a 5-9 and 2-12 Giants and Panthers teams. When Saints play better teams they tend to struggle and the Rams are on an upward trajectory now and are fighting for a playoff spot and have a lot of good things going for them.
Whether on the ground through breakout star RB Williams or through the air with Kupp, Pukua and Higbee, the Rams have a lot of weapons to hurt most teams. To kick things off in Week 16 I am taking a combo of a Rams win and an alternate line on Higbee, as the Saints have conceded a load of receptions to the TE position in recent weeks.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone.
We are treated to three NFL games tonight and all are live on ESPN 219 if anyone wants to watch some sports tonight (Chiefs game at 8pm and Eagles at 11:30pm). As the playoffs approach, teams are fighting for top spot and two teams who are desperate for the number 1 seeds are the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. Whether they get the number 1 seed is another matter, but both will be trying their best and I expect the main players to step up for their teams.
I am taking a double alt line on each game and combining them into a four fold acca for tonights action. Chiefs and Eagles should win tonight and Kelce and Smith are prime time players for their teams and will be targeted throughout the games by their QBs.

Super Bowl
Chiefs vs 49ers
The Super Bowl is this Sunday and I like the Chiefs to win at 11/10. Already have them at 85/10 but I still think the 11/10 represents value for this game. If anyone is looking for a betting interest. That's the main bet and throwing some darts at the MVP award too.
KC Chiefs to win - 11/10 (main bet)

McCafferey MVP - 5/1
Kelce MVP - 14/1
