All Racing Tips w/c 25th December

Hope you all had a great Christmas, and day off yesterday to watch the football.

Kenilworth today in another tricky card.

Race 1
Some Beautifully bread horses in this race. My 2 are as follows:
Hemisphere @ 8/1
Nicely bred Vercingetorix, Dame was very speedy early before winning over further. Half sibling also won 1st time up over distance. Gets Fourie up the straight. Stable been very quiet in Western Cape, hoping this might surprise.
Iko Iko @ 14/1
Half brother to the super speedy Goliath Heron and Black Egret, who was also speedy. Did some reading today, they reckon the Fire Away with Silvano Dame is a decent cross. Stable comment not the greatest, but gets stable jock up.
If money had to come for either Kotzen horses, worth noting as he has a line through Sweetie Darling on the fav.

Race 2
Jou Lekker Ding @ 16/1
Nicely bred. Sibling was a fav of mine and enjoyed the sprints. Positive comment from trainer.

Race 4
Cosmic Energy @ 25/1
Full sister to grade 1 winner Cosmic Highway. Remember stable saying was injured in Durban, so was off for awhile. Last run wasn’t greatest but now carrying 53Kg’s/ If half as good as her brother, should be able to put this field away. Cant get hurt at this price.

Race 8
Eternal Optimist @ 15/1
On previous run holds fav Fatal Gem, getting 5kg swing for 2.5L beating.
Other one I like is Callmegetatrix.

Going to try get a few bets on card later. One early one for me -

R2 Girl About Town @ 33/1. Sire got off to a winning start with only runner to date on debut and this is the second one to get to track. Plenty of speed in breeding and at the price I think could be a bit of value.

And one more -
R4 Simply Beautiful @ 17/2 ew. Surely today her best chance to get that first win, has run some very good races on her day and Fourie back up having never been out top 4 with her, will be giving it all for connections I expect.

Mighty Mac @ 17/2 ew. BF not ridden for yard for a while but strike rate was incredible if go back a few seasons for this stable. Drop back in trip should suit.

Yeah just didn’t get to line, been story of my racing bets last few days, getting some healthy place payouts but keep finding one or 2 just too good for the win. We go again today!!

one so far -

R7 Longsword @ 20/1 ew. First run after gelding and a break but last week Tarry hit i think 3 winners who returned from breaks, so must be getting them ready at yard. Was right behind Purple Pitcher in a 2yr old race so seems to have some ability. No harm to be done at the price.

Yip, we go again. Some short priced fav's as well.

Princess Lola @ 7/1 (WSB)
Some decent form over the sprints, looks like an open race, and well drawn with Gavin up.
My complete outsider is Whistledown, nicely bred bred but just not run to potential in my opinion.

Race 2
Sutherland @ 25/1
2 favs look hard to beat but was on this one first time up. Like the breeding and half sibling is Thunderstruck who is super speedy, other 2 been Before the Dawn and Patronage were also speedy. I think if you wait awhile will go out to 40/1

Race 3
Golden Aspen @ 12/1
Likes a bit of cut in the ground, and with claim is 9Kgs off on 2nd fav, whilst having beaten her over sprint.

Race 4
Linkin Navigator @ 16/1
The 2 Fillies @ the weights look hard to oppose, but this one coming back from a long rest, was super speedy early and if can repeat eaither of 1st 2 runs think could go close.

Race 5
George Hendel @ 4/1
Won well last time up and I think could still be ahead of Handicapper. Muzi stays on, so hoping for another repeat.

Race 8
Munchkin was all the rage early on in his young career but has been showing nothing in his last two starts. Stepping up in distance today and 2nd run after a rest I think he represents good EW value at 20/1. He has a good draw and also takes a slight drop in class, so hopefully he can get back to his previous form that he showed as a 3 year old.

No joy the tarry outsider so calling on an old one I’ve had joy with before -

Mitch got his wish 11/2 ew. Stable comments positive and on form today.

A nice double header once again .

Cape Town first

Race 1
Good quality maiden field to start things , Snaith has been a little inconsistent of late but I do like the look of Peregrine Falcon in the opener.

Race 2
Small field , I like the Wecangoallnight , could make the running and steal it .

Race 3
The Nel stable appears to still be in form and as a result I'm giving Nordic Chief a big chance in a tough race .

Race 4
Another tough race , I liked the way Trippis Silk won his maiden and he could have more to come.

Race 5
Very competitive race this , slight fancy of Yamadori who should relish the step up in distance , also fancy Gallic Dream

Race 6
Swift Action has his 2nd run after a 5 month rest , if well I think he's a good ew chance .

Race 7
Apple Catcher has a notable jockey strike with Fourie up , the stable is quiet but might be hatching something here .

Race 8
Sudden Storm has emptied my wallet of coin vastly in the last few months but like a lab rat I'm back for more punishment .

Race 9
Open last race with a few horses I've punted before competing against one another , I'm taking my pin and I've decided upon Kwite a King who should be a decent price .

Race 1
Babies over 800m , colts and fillies, Corne Spies had a drab lot of 2 year olds last season and I his filly here has had 2 runs so far , there are some expensive new comers here and a betting watch may be the best suggestion.

Race 2
Another babies race , all fillies this time though . I like the look of Rodeo Drive however and will be following .

Race 3
The Pettigrew stable is showing signs of coming to form and although it's only Say it's Roses 2nd start she could be up to the task.

Race 4
Don't really like this race .

Race 5
Competitive race and I wouldn't be taking a short price the favourite, my first selection is Sakkie's Mary's Greenlight .

Race 6
Don't like the race

I really like Sakkie here with Bonete , nice price too.

Race 8
Competitive but going for the fav , Red Bomber

Race 9
The last race , Mo the Man gets blinkers , hoping it'll coax that little bit more out of him .

For me the best of the run horses. A couple of nicely bred pricey ones.

Race 2 - Way to Burn @ 13/1
Doesn't sound to be favored by stable, but like on breeding and with extra 4kg's off, up the outside, might surprise

Race 3 - Duchess of Seville @ 7/1 & Kadizora @ 8/1
Both look like they bred for this distance in what looks like a moderate field.

Race 5 - Key Element @ 10/1
At the weights appears to be out, but if there is any sort of repeat of run behind Nother Russia, should be there abouts.

Race 7 - Red Maple @ 17/1 & Lets Go Now @ 6/1
Red Maple - coming back from long rest, and may need it, but any sort of return to form prior to break, will be close.
Lets go Now - That run behind Nother Russia was impressive. I personally think Nother Russia is special, so to end so close may surprise.
