A poor week for me after a strong start. Things started going wrong when I went unders on Highlanders game only to find I had actually gone overs when I logged onto my account.

I have been betting conservatively and doing well but in the Lions game I stuck my head out and took a reckless half time overs play and needless to say it was swiftly cut off

Had a nice win on overs in the Bulls game and Super Rugby was good to me

A quieter but very exciting week ahead - here are my projected Super Rugby caps

Hurricanes -16.5 v Waratahs
Rebels +13.5 v Blues
Pasifika +6.5 v Highlanders (proper home game for Pasifika)
Crusaders -7.5 v Reds
Chiefs -16.5 v Force
Brumbies -15.5 v Drua

Caps are out for the Champions Cup and Challenge Cup semi's

Leinster -13.5 v Saints
Toulouse -18.5 v Harlequins

Sharks -1.5 v Clermont
Gloucester -6.5 v Benetton

Looking forward to your thoughts

BG

Super Rugby handicaps out early at WSB and here is how they compare to mine (WSB in brackets)

Hurricanes -16.5 (-20.5) v Waratahs
Rebels +13.5 (+15.5) v Blues
Pasifika +6.5 (+2.5) v Highlanders
Crusaders -7.5 (-8.5) v Reds
Chiefs -16.5 (-20.5) v Force
Brumbies -15.5 (-14.5) v Drua

4 points shy in Canes and Chiefs games, on reflection suspect bookies are closer to the mark and not rushing in to back the plus

4 points diff Pasifika (see on X this opened +6.5 overseas) and once again think I am off with this one and not rushing in on Highlanders

Not alot of movement in the markets so far this week

Pasifika having opened locally at +2.5 are now -2.5 and the Chiefs are -22.5 from -20.5 and all other Super Rugby movements are stable or a 1 point move

In the Challenge Cup Sharks now +1.5 from -1.5 and Benetton +4.5 from +6.5

Champions Cup is stable

The Rugby Championship for u20's starts tomorrow and battling to find a handicap for New Zealand v SA (taking place Gold Coast Australia) although Pokerbet have a 1st half cap New Zealand -3.5 so I guess we are looking at a -7.5 line.

bookie did end up putting live just after this and took the under 46.5 to get out, leaves an exposure of 6pts but this game but conditions are dreadful and both games should be called off.

Good heavens 3 conversions missed by the Canes in the 2nd half to cost me the 1st leg of the double

Sticking with over 60.5 in Melbourne

Like Blues -13.5 at 17/20. Apart from last week their defence has been really good. Although Melbourne is high scoring, I think Blues defence will ensure the minus comes through. Also taken some Rebels under 23.5 points at 19/20. Minus the main bet though.

Had a big double of under 64.5 in the canes game, lands easily.

And over 54.5 in rebels game. Ends with 49 and rebels butchering about 3 tries in the second half and a final 5m try in the last movement.

It’s the hope that gets you.

Spot on
Blues scramble defence was terrific.
They've become a more resilient/ doughty team this year

Saders will be lucky to get 10 points with Jordie Roll Away reffing this.

Shit game.

Crusaders reverting back to toilet.

8 penalties in 16 mins. Think I’m done with super rugby and sticking with NRL. Much better product.

Chiefs do the business and that’s my main play of the weekend banked.

Not going to get as heavily involved but Brumbies over 36.5 @ 10/11. Can see Drua taking pressure at scrums and a yellow or 2 from repeated pens.

Rain looks set and i don’t want to undo this mornings good gains. Cancelled out bet in running at under 36.5.

Small confidence because Sharks are a group of bandits this season but Moala absence is too big for Clermont. The only Clermont player that make hard yards carry after carry. Too important in Clermont´s attack as he is almost the only one puting defences on the back foot.
