This is due to a pretty weak field with 1 exception and that is the inclusion of 1/4 shot Pogacar who goes for the Giro/TDF double not done since Pantani in 1998
It is also an easier route (not easy though) with a lighter last week (by Giro standards) and I can see a situation where Pogi takes control early and rides conservatively to save energy for TDF - that being said riding defensively is not his natural game
I have not seen any without Pogacar betting yet and hopefully we get this option before stage 1.
I will have a study over the next day or so and will post any long term plays.
I fancy Ben O'Conner for a big race

He looked good on Saturday and dropped off early, so will be shouting for him to go early on hill and hopefully drop everyone.
Enjoy the racing today.

I just don't think he can resist and that is what makes him my favourite rider
Turned out to be an exciting stage with that attack after the sprint, the cross winds and the Pogacar attack
I haven't bet a cent on it yet

Todays stage finish looks similar to yesterdays although a break at the top of final climb will be harder to bring back due to the descent
Ganna is climbing well and Ineos are here to disrupt - I could see him attacking on the final climb or winning from a reduced bunch in a sprint
0.5 units win at 33/1
1.5 units top 3 at 5/1

Kids a born racer. When Hauptman saw him the first time he was 12 and riding a 100m behind a group of bigger teenagers. Hauptman told the organisers not to overmatch a kid as it could affect his confidence. Organisers told him Pogs was lapping the bigger kids. A large chunk of yesterday's stage was not ridden so my take was no damage done by the few km's of racing at the end.
Stage 4
Probably a no-bet stage for the big punters as it looks like only the first dozen or so at the top of the climb have a chance.

Hard to see anything other then a bunch sprint today.
Win
Merlier @ 11/4
Will be in the sticks for the next few days. No idea how the books are going to manage without my losses.

Stage 9
Phil Bauhaus 50/1 ew (1/5 odds top 4)
BoyleSports.
I can’t understand these odds. He’s been up there in bunch sprints and is due to pop up soon. I’ve seen 14/1 in other places so on value alone it’s worth an interest.

Giro Stage 10
Not easy to call. Taking two outsiders and would have liked cover on the Pogs/Martinez straight floating around at 10/1 overseas. Not on offer here so a match bet treble it is.
e/w 1-3
Scaroni @ 100/1
Frigo @ 125/1
Match bet treble

Looks like a bunch sprint but the 13/10 on Milan does not sit well as a cycling bet. Also cycling generally at beer bet level so losses will not result in forced sale of wine cellar contents

Looks good for a break today. I think Lidl-Trek could get Milan to the finish but tomorrow looks a much better stage so why spend energy today. My darts
