RACE 1

BEST INTENTIONS has fair recent form lines to her credit. She showed pace against male company over this C&D last time and stayed on to finish third. The daughter of Rafeef is back against her own sex and in this field, she may be the one to beat.

SHINE IN MEMPHIS returns from a 10-week break and is having her first run for the Kelly Mitchley stable. She finished third on debut over this distance. The daughter of Oratorio tries the blinkers for the first time and there should be improvement to come.

WHAT NOW MY GAL is the stable companion of the second choice. She showed improvement in her last start over this distance on the Polytrack. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. If jumping on terms, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

RACE 2

SEA OF TEARS has finished second in her last two starts, the latest of which was over this C&D. She was reported to be cut into on her left hind that day which didn’t help her chances. The daughter of Crusade meets the right field today and can shed her maiden tag.

KITTY MO stayed on when third over this C&D last time. The blinkers seem to have done the trick on the daughter of Royal Mo. She is back against her own sex and should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

VENETIAN MOONLIGHT was disappointing in her local debut over 1600m on the Polytrack. The blinkers have been quickly removed and she may enjoy racing on the turf track. S’manga Khumalo retains the ride and there should be improvement to come.

RACE 3

WILLIAM’S LEGACY showed good improvement in his local debut over this C&D. He stayed on at the finish that day but found one too good in the form of Bridgerton. The son of William Longsword is the stable elect with Muzi Yeni in the saddle and may have more to come.

MO FLOW is the stable companion of the top choice. He rallied late when touched off in his last start over 1600m on this course. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. Apprentice Kobeli Lihaba takes the 2.5kgs off his back and he is one of the leading contenders.

US OPEN challenged strongly in his last start over this C&D. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He is a battling maiden but cannot be ignored.

RACE 4

DEFINITELY MAYBE ran a fair race in the Non-Black Type Lady’s Bracelet last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. She jumps from pole position and if finding the form of her penultimate run, she should notch up her eighth career victory.

PINNACLE was an easy winner of her last start over this C&D. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She finished 2.1 lengths behind the top choice in her penultimate run. She is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

ROSE OF BAYEUX finished 5.3 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is 4kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

Race 5

ESTHER showed good speed in her last start over this C&D, fought hard but found one too good in the form of Golden Pacific. She has won three times and finished second once from eight starts over this distance. The daughter of Querari takes a drop-in class and she should be hard to peg back.

SILVERY BLUE finished 0.1 lengths behind ANGELSEA last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She gets a change of headgear and the blinkers may do the trick.

ANGELSEA has placed in her last three starts. She has won twice and finished third once from as many starts over this distance. If getting away to a clean start, she should be involved at the finish.

Race 6

VEGAS GOLD showed signs of needing his last start over this C&D. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The son of Var would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Luyolo Mxothwa steps into the saddle and he can notch up his seventh career victory.

ROSE FOR TRIPPI ran a good race when third in her last start over this C&D. The tongue-tie seems to have done the trick. She gets the services of 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Kobeli Lihaba and should give the males a run for their money.

EUROPEAN SUMMER has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. It must be noted that the horse that finished third in her last outing has come out and won since. The 13-week break may have done her the world of good and if fit, she can show.

RACE 7

ST CLOUD ran on strongly when winning her last start over this distance on the Polytrack. She received a five-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Silvano won her only attempt on this course. She jumps from pole position and should take a power of beating.

ELLIS ISLAND has decent recent form lines to his credit. He was outrun late when second over 2400m last time. The 6-year-old gelding has to overcome the widest draw, but gets the services of Muzi Yeni who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

WOODLAND RIDGE got up late when winning his last start over this C&D. He meets a similar line-up this afternoon and with Raymond Danielson retaining the ride, he can follow up.

RACE 8

DOWSER is better than his last start over 1400m on this course. His penultimate run when second over this distance on the polytrack was encouraging. He takes a slight drop-in class and from his good draw of three, he can win a race of this nature.

SEQUOIA has some decent recent form lines to his credit. He has won twice, finished second once and third twice from eight starts over this C&D. He will strip a much fitter horse and should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

CENTRAL CITY is better than his last two starts as he was reported to be not striding out. It must be noted that the form of his last outing has been franked. He will strip a much fitter horse today and can finish in the placings
