Race 1

GREEN FALCON showed good improvement in his last start over this C&D. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. He is having his third run since the gelding and should be cherry-ripe. The son of Gimmethegreenlight meets the right field this afternoon and he can shed his maiden tag.

BULLITT finished 0.3 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line.

LOGISTICAL finished 1.55 lengths behind the top selection on debut. The son of Trippi would have come on from the run and he should make the natural improvement.

Race 2

BUSY LIZZIE ran a good race when third in her comeback run over this C&D. The manner in which she ran on at the finish that day was encouraging. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Master Of My Fate will strip a much fitter horse today and she may be the one to side with.

YGRITTE moved up like a winner last time, but was caught late. She finished 1.25 lengths behind the top choice in her penultimate effort. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them where it matters most.

STRAWBERRY LIGHT may not have seen out the 1400m in her last start. Her penultimate run when finishing second over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville catches the eye. She gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand.

Race 3

THEFUTUREISBRIGHT was not disgraced when finishing sixth in the Listed Algoa Cup last time. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. He has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. Richard Fourie takes the ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

CHEWBACA ran a fair race over this distance last time. He finished 4.75 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate run. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

DOUBLE CHECK was ultra-impressive when winning her last start over this distance at Fairview. She took the lead at the 400m mark, quickened up well and won with a ton in hand. She has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. She carries a light mass of 50.5kgs and should give the males a run for their money.

Race 4

SILVANO’S TIMER should have finished closer to Jet Dark in the Grade 3 Cape Mile last time as he had no luck in the straight. He won his only attempt over this distance. The son of Silvano will strip a much fitter horse today and from pole position, he should notch up his fifth career victory.

WARRIOR ran a fair race in his last start over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. He has won five times, finished second once and third once from ten starts on this course. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

SOMERSET MAUGHAM won the Listed Settlers Trophy in the boardroom over 2000m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. He has won once, finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. Richard Fourie retains the ride and the pair merit healthy respect.

Race 5

QUATERMAIN has produced two decent efforts since winning his maiden over 1600m on this course. It must be noted that Innamorare has come out and won again since. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will love the rise to 2000m. With a bit of luck from his awkward draw of eight, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

MACHETE MAN set the pace over 1800m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time, but found one too good in the form of Pas De Nom who has come out and won again since. He is likely to adopt the same tactics from his good draw of three and may be hard to peg back.

POLICY TARGET finished 1.25 lengths behind TWICE THE MASTER last time. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Keagan de Melo takes the ride and he may be able to get the best out of him.

Race 6

KITCHAKAL set the pace in his local debut over 1400m last time, but was caught late by Winchester Mansion. He would have come on from the run and will love the rise to the mile. He jumps from a good draw of three and with Keagan de Melo retaining the ride, he is capable of going one better here.

MAX THE OTTER was running on nicely when second over 1400m in his first run out of the maidens. The manner in which he finished off his race that day suggests that he will love the rise to the mile. The son of Vercingetorix has plenty of scope and is one of the leading contenders.

SCALINI stayed on when fourth behind the unbeaten Le Morne last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. If not too far out of his ground turning for home, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 7

TCHAIKOVSKY ran on strongly late when finishing second behind the unbeaten Love In Winter last time. He is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. The son of Pomodoro will be cherry-ripe for this outing and with Aldo Domeyer back in the saddle, he should take a power of beating.

PORQUE TE VAS was not disgraced when finishing fourth in the Non-Black Type Need For Speed Sprint last time. She has won once and finished second twice from four starts over this C&D. The daughter of Querari shows good speed in her races and she may be hard to peg back.

DIFFERENT FACE tired late in her last start over 1100m on this course. She has won once, finished second four times and third once from ten starts over this distance. The 5yo mare should give the males a run for their money.

Race 8

BONIKA ran a decent race when fourth in the Non-Black Type Prestige Plate last time. She has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. The daughter of Jackson is having her peak run today and she will be cherry-ripe. Richard Fourie takes the ride and the daughter of Jackson can notch up her fourth career victory.

PRICELESS won a good race on debut over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. The manner in which she ran on at the finish that day was eye-catching. The daughter of Dynasty could be anything and with just 54kgs on her back, she may be up to the task at hand.

TOTALLY ROCKS had excuses in the Listed Laisserfaire Stakes last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. She is better suited to this distance and will strip a much fitter horse.

Race 9

RED IMPACT ran a good race when third in the Non-Black Type Need For Speed Sprint last time. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. The son of Red Ray should have no issues with the rise to 1200m and he is capable of returning to winning ways.

CHEEKY LADDIE ran a fair race in his last start over 1400m. He lost a length at the start, but finished his race off nicely. The son of Gimmethegreenlight won on debut over this distance. If jumping on terms, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

QUANDARY was an easy winner when shedding his maiden tag over this C&D. He showed good speed, found another kick and drew clear of the opposition. He is carded to race on 19 November 2022 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored
