Race 1

BUSTER KEATON was a tad disappointing in his last start over 1200m on the Polytrack. He is a much better horse on the turf. His penultimate run when finishing second over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville was encouraging. The Nel stable has turned the corner in recent weeks and if putting his best foot forward, he can win a race of this nature.

LEBANESE POUND ran a fair race when third in a workriders race last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He returns from a short 10-week break and is having his first run for the Dennis Bosch stable. It is encouraging that Richard Fourie steps into the saddle and he is one of the leading contenders.

MASERATI ROAR was his own worst enemy over 1400m last time as he overraced in the early stages. His debut effort when finishing second over 1200m on this course was encouraging. He will enjoy the drop to 1000m and must be included in all bets.

Race 2

FORTUNE BAY has produced two good efforts to date. She raced green around the turn over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time, but stayed on nicely at the finish. The daughter of William Longsword will enjoy the step up to 1200m and she may be the one to side with.

SWISS PARADISE finished 2.6 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result. Her debut effort on this course catches the eye and she is one of the leading contenders.

RIO SUPREMO should have won her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville as her pilot dropped his reins at a crucial stage. 4kgs claiming apprentice Siphesihle Hlengwa retains the ride and he will be looking to make amends.

Race 3

MEETATTHEWINDSOR made the natural improvement when finishing 0.1 lengths behind RED PIANO last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms, but he has cracked pole position which is a positive. The son of Pomodoro is a progressive type and will be at home over the mile. Serino Moodley takes the ride and the combination should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.

RED PIANO ran a good race when third over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. The son of Count Dubois will strip a much fitter horse today and with a bit of luck from his wide draw of twelve, he should go close to winning.

HUNTERS ARROW stayed on when third over 1200m on the Polytrack last time. The son of Curved Ball will love the step up to 1600m and he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 4

This is a competitive Merit Rated 65 Handicap and caution is advised. BRANDENBURG from the Nathan Kotzen stable is the tentative first selection. His last four starts over this distance have been good. He takes a drop in class and with a bit of luck from his wide draw of twelve, he can notch up his sixth career victory.

RASPBERRY BERET was an easy winner of her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. Two of her three career victories have come on this course. She is in a good space and should give the males a run for their money.

MAJESTIC POWER showed good signs of a form return in his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The blinkers seem to have done the trick and if confirming his recent improvement, he should be competitive.

Race 5

SUN BLUSHED ran a good race when third over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. The manner in which he finished off his race that day suggests that he will enjoy the rise to 1400m. He is the best-weighted runner in this contest and should take a power of beating.

MYSTIC ANGEL was not disgraced when finishing second in the Non-Black Type Beach Beauty Mile last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. She won her maiden over this C&D and should give the males a run for their money.

BOTZ has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He has work to do at the weights, but is in a good space and merits obvious inclusion.

Race 6

TWO OF US showed good signs of a form return in his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He raced wide around the turn, but the manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. He has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts over this C&D. He takes a slight drop in class and is capable of returning to winning ways.

HAPPY WANDERER finished 3.4 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is only 0.5kgs better off at the weights which is not enough for the tables to be turned. It is encouraging that S’manga Khumalo does duty and he is one of the leading contenders.

HIPPOCRATES showed signs of needing his last start over 1400m. His last victory came over 1200m on the polytrack. The son of Wylie Hall will strip a much fitter horse today and on best form shown, he should run into the money.

Race 7

MAQUETTE is better than her last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Greyville as the jockey reported something to be amiss. She finished 3.4 lengths behind ETHIOPIAN QUEEN in her penultimate run. She is 5.5kgs better off at the weights today, which should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has won twice and finished second three times from seven starts over this C&D. Keagan de Melo takes the ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

ETHIOPIAN QUEEN won a good race in her last start over this distance on the Polytrack. She finished third in her only attempt over this C&D. 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Malesela Katjedi retains the ride and the pair merit healthy respect.

RUSSIAN DOLL is a winner of both her career starts to date. She returns from a well-deserved 21-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. The daughter of Pathfork takes on older and if not in need of the run, she can remain unbeaten.

Race 8

RISE was staying on at the finish when fourth over 2300m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. She has won twice from seven starts over this C&D. The daughter of Noble Tune has dropped to a competitive rating and she gets the services of 2.5kgs claiming apprentice, Malesela Katjedi. From her mid-field draw, she will be mowing down the frontrunners.

TEICHMAN fought hard for her last victory over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He is in a good space and should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

TWICE GOLDEN finished 3 lengths behind LIVING WATERS in his penultimate run. He is 5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. If jumping on terms, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest
