Coming into the final round of matches which both share the same kick off time France top the group with 6 points, Australia have 3 and Denmark and Tunisia both have 1

Australia 11/2 Draw 33/10 Denmark 8/15

Australia

A Mitchell Duke goal midway through the first half gave Australia a 1-0 win over Tunisia on Saturday and whilst the outcome of the other match will also dictate what they need to do it is very possible that a draw here would send them into the knockout rounds.

Australia came up against France in their opening match, they were 12.5/1 to upset the defending champions and they took a ninth minute lead through Craig Goodwin. They held that lead until the 27th minute but were 2-1 down shortly afterwards. Two further French goals followed in the second half and the final score was 4-1.

Denmark

Denmark's 2-1 defeat to France on Saturday leaves their hopes of a place in the knockout rounds resting on a victory here and they also have to keep an eye on how Tunisia get on. Although Andreas Christensen equalized against the French Denmark battled to create clear cut chances.

Denmark had won 9 out of their 10 qualifiers and were also semi finalists in last year's Euro's but they didn't do enough against Tunisia in their opening match which ended 0-0.

The Verdict:

It's win or go home for Denmark and whilst I suspect they will be up to the job I can see Australia offering resistance.

I like the look of over 1.5 goals in the second half.

Tunisia 11/2 Draw 3/1 France 11/20

Tunisia

Tunisia's hope of qualifying for the last 16 are remote at best after the 1-0 defeat to Australia. They need to turn France over here and hope Denmark don't lose to Australia to have any chance of staying in the tournament.

Tunisia played out a 0-0 draw with Denmark in their opening match. Roared on by the bulk of the crowd they gave as good as they got for the majority of the match and had their moments in front of goal although only 1 of 13 attempts registered was recorded as on target.

France

France have 2 wins from 2 and they will be in the last 16 regardless of what happens here. They saw off Denmark 2-1 on Saturday with Mbappe scoring both goals in the second half, either side of a Denmark equalizer.

Raibot, Giroud (twice) and Mbappe were the French scorers in the 4-1 win against Australia and at the time of writing they were 11/2 second favourites to win the tournament.

The Verdict:

How hungry will be France be to take a 100% record into the knockout rounds is open to debate but Tunisia would still need a small miracle to avoid being eliminated. This might be best watched with a view to betting “in play” but Tunisia will have huge support and should give it a go so for the purposes of making a pre-match pick I will side with over 2.5 goals.
