Fifa World Cup Group H gets under way on Thursday when Uruguay take on South Korea and Portugal clash with Ghana

Uruguay qualified automatically after finishing third in South America although they were some way behind Argentina and Brazil. They won 8 drew 4 and lost 6 of their matches, scoring 22 goals and conceding the same number.
In WC 2018 in Russia they won all 3 of their matches, beating the host nation, Saudi Arabia and Egypt without conceding a goal. They beat Portugal in the Round of 16 but then lost a quarter final clash with eventual tournament winners France 2-0.
Luis Suarez is still with the squad meaning he will come up against Ghana later in the group after the drama which surrounded his handball offence in South Africa 2010. Uruguay are ranked 14th and Diego Alonso is the coach.

South Korea
South Korea finished second to Iran in their Asian qualifying group, winning 7 matches, drawing 2 and losing 1 with 13 goals scored and just 3 conceded.
In Russia 2018 South Korea finished third in the group, failing to make the knockout rounds. They lost to Sweden and Mexico but to their credit upset Germany with a win in their final group match which also saw the Germans eliminated.
South Korea are ranked 28th in the world. Heung-Min Son is the star player and Paulo Bento is the coach.

The Verdict:
Uruguay won their last 4 group qualifying matches to continue the trend of qualifying for World Cup finals. They have Premier League stars Darwin Nunez and Rodrigo Bentancur in the squad which has plenty of experience.
I think 19/10 for Nunez, who has been in form for Liverpool recently, to score any time is a decent price.

Portugal 4/10 Draw 37/10 Ghana 13/2
Portugal
After finishing second to Serbia in their qualifying group with a record of 5 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat Portugal had to come through the play offs. They beat Turkey 3-1 and North Macedonia 2-0 in those play offs to book their ticket to Qatar
In Russia 2018 Portugal won 1 and drew 2 of their matches to qualify in second spot, behind Spain on goals scored with Iran and Morocco missing out. Their stay in the knockout rounds was short lived as they went down at the first hurdle with that 2-1 loss to Uruguay.
Portugal have Ronaldo and a host of EPL stars in their squad, they are ranked 8th in the world and are trading at 6/10 to top this group
Ghana
Ghana made the African regional play offs at the expense of South Africa. They drew 0-0 at home to Nigeria in the first leg of the play offs before a 1-1 draw in the return saw them squeeze through.
Ghana didn't make it to Russia in 2018 and their most recent tournament finals, AFCON earlier this year, was something of a disaster as they lost to Morocco and Comoros either side of a draw with Gabon to head home early.
Ghana have slipped to 61st in the rankings and Otto Addo is the Black Stars coach.

The Verdict:
I fancy Portugal to be in the goals, hopefully 2 or 3. They have a strong squad and if they are all up for this tournament they should go well. Bernado Silva provides the any time interest.
