Wow what a weekend of quarterfinal action - no joy for the newsletter Best Bet Wales but The Boks deliver the 9/1 acca

Here is the link to subscribe to the free weekly Goodforthegame betting mailer with Best Bet and an ACCA bit.ly/bettingmail

I think that may be the best game I have ever watched - no idea how Boks won that after being bossed for 75% of the game - simply brilliant

URC starts this week - man I cannot even think of it now

Boks now 1/1, ABs 12/10 England 12/1 and Argentina 40/1

Here are the opening handicaps

New Zealand -16.5 v Argentina

South Africa -10.5 v England

I am off to bed

Roll on the semifinals

I see England currently +13 @evens.

As much as I love watching England get spanked I might have to go with this :-o

Lost my shirt on the England -7.5 over the weekend. May lose this too but it will not be anywhere near as mentally painful should the Boks cruise it.

England + 13.5 @ 9/10

I took so much pain on Bulls last season, but i'm back again and hopefully this one swings my way for a change -

Bulls -16 @ 10/11

I tend to favour SA sides in early rounds - the heat/conditions suit Bulls squad, they've added wisely, the Scarlets don't have great squad depth, a few injuries. Generally a side that can be dogged on day, but equally you always feel Scarlets could leak 50 when it goes wrong.

Bulls with a nice big Sunday crowd in, daytime kick-off.

My main URC play for weekend.

I’m quite the opposite, was very impressed by Scarlets against a decent Babas side, albeit a Babas side…. I’ve nibbled on Scarlets draw no bet @10/1. I expect a really tight stubborn game but saying that I wouldn’t be shocked if Bulls did put on 50

Holding back on my bets for the RWC semi's for now but had a chat with Hilton Hasson from WSB to find out where the early money is going - they have laid NZL over 32.5 and over 49.5 and SA -13.5 but also England outright

Forgive my ignorance, but does (England outright) this mean that they've punted England to actually win it ?

Hi Brent,
Amazing that someone actually thinks that England can beat us :P

I'm just asking for a friend (who did terribly on the 7-1 split pool  )

Do you still intend making a GFTG Superbru cash pool for the URC ?

i hadn't even realised they'd played baa-baas, although a weakish baa-baas all the same.

I'd only seen the pre-season result v Dragons, lost that one, and now went to find highlights. Let's just say Bulls lineout maul going to give them a real problem.

Love this line, following on the overs. When you consider line is only 9pts higher that England Bok match, which will be a wet night game, it looks massive value.

Hey Brent. I sent the URC predictor payment via PayPal. There wasn't an option to convert to Rand, but I'm sure there's enough to cover the R500 + 10%. Let us know if I need to make an adjustment. Cheers.

My antepost bets have me cheering on New Zealand and red cards from here on in. That said, I've sold the All Blacks' hotshots at 54 (Will Jordan, Rieko Ioane, Mark Telea, Codie Taylor) and sub try minutes at 60 tonight. Sometimes a system obliges you to place bets that you instinctively expect to get chinned on.

Hills double up of Jordan and Savea both to score a try at 7/1 looks fair at worst, probably offering a bit of value, so I've had my tenner on that. That'll do unless anyone else is dangling any particularly juicy carrots.

Max bet on NZ over 14.5 1st half @ 1.80 on BetWarrior. Seemed far too good a line to be true. It’s out to 15.5 now there which still seems like value

Thanks for the link to buy in at the URC BG .

Pouring with rain for most of the day in the UK , Newcastle pitch artificial but points down to 35.5 atm.

I really like the Pumas tonight and will even have a small punt on the nose . NZ had a very tough game against Ireland and of course they have the depth to rotate if they had needed , plus 18.5 though for an medium interest

I reckon they could play the game in Clive Woodwards living room, have Nollie Waterman on comms and Bryce Lawrence reffing and boks would still beat them by 15+.

Cracking day yesterday with the under 4.5 tries never in doubt and the drop goal bet landing in unlikely fashion - what a kick from Farrell - I wasn't the most popular as I ran around the room cheering when he landed it

No idea how the Boks won but so happy they did

Overs in Joburg also good and just the Sharks let me down and we out the 22/1 newsletter acca buy half a point

Nice to have some Sunday rugby to look forward to and I will be looking to the Bulls to do the business in a hot Pretoria
