Chennai Super Kings host Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 23 of the IPL on Tuesday and the winner will go clear at the top of the standings.

The Super Kings bounced back from a first defeat to claim a 22 run victory at home to the Kings XI on Saturday. They posted 160/3 batting first with Faf du Plessis top scoring with 54 and the CSK spinners kept the lid on the Kings XI chase which finished on 138/5.
CSK now have a record of 4 wins and the 1 defeat which came in Mumbai. Aside from the homer win over Kings at the weekend other home games produced wins over RCB (7 wickets) and Rajasthan Royals (8 runs).
Kolkata Knight Riders
The Knight Riders also chalked up a fourth win of the season when they coasted to victory by 8 wickets away to Rajasthan Royals on Sunday. KKR restricted the Royals to 139/3 and after an opening stand of 91 from Lynn (50) and Narine (47) the result was never in doubt and KKR got up in just 13.5 overs.
Earlier Knight Riders matches were more dramatic including their only defeat which came in a Super Over after a tie in Delhi. Another memorable performance came in a recent win at RCB where Andre Russell smashed 48 off just 13 balls and Russell was also a big factor in earlier home wins over the Sunrisers (6 wickets) and the Kings XI (28 runs).
