Rohit Sharma’s 48 helped Mumbai post 187/8 in that game and that total looked under serious threat with AB de Villiers hitting top gear. However the death bowling was good enough to seal a 6 run win with Jasprit Bumrah returning stand out figures of 3/20.
Chennai Super Kings
CSK made it 3 wins from 3 outings when they defended 175/5 for an 8 run victory at home to Rajasthan Royals on Sunday. MS Dhoni top scored with 75 after CSK hit early trouble and a fantastic final over from Dwayne Bravo helped CSK bag another win.
CSK won their first 2 matches with a degree of comfort. They started with a 7 wicket victory at home to RCB who they bowled out for just 70 runs in Match 1. Next time out CSK travelled to Delhi for a date with the Capital’s and this time the victory margin was 6 wickets. The Super Kings chased down a target of 148 in that game with Shane Watson top scoring with 44 although they got home with just 2 balls to spare.
