windieswt20England’s tour of the West Indies concludes in St. Kitts on Sunday when the teams meet in the third T20 International and the visitors are bidding to make it a clean sweep.

The opening game of the series was staged in St. Lucia and England, who are without some of their big hitters, came through with a 4 wicket win. The teams moved on to St. Kitts for the remainder of the series and on Friday England made it 2-0 after dishing out a 137 run hiding.

England batted first at this venue on Friday and they were in all sorts of trouble early doors at 29/3. Joe Root led the revival and went on to make 55 off 40 balls but it was Sam Billings who top scored with a well paced 87 off 47 deliveries and England posted 182/6.

Windies had a nightmare in their innings and they collapsed in a heap, all out for just 45 in 11.5 overs. Only 2 of their batsmen reached double figures and Chris Jordan claimed 4 of their wickets in his 2 overs at a cost of just 6 runs.

England hit 5 maximums to Windies 1 and Billings was named Man of the Match.

This was how the teams lined up on Friday in the second T20.

Verdict:

With this been the final game of the tour England will probably give game time to those who haven’t featured in the first 2 matches. The wicket at Warner Park was nothing like as bad as Windies made it look on Friday but Jordan was a real handful and could go in again as top England bowler. Look out for his price when that market becomes available.
