Race 1

HELEN’S LEGACY showed good improvement when second over this distance at Kenilworth last time. She showed good pace, but was caught in the shadow of the post. The daughter of Duke Of Marmalade is a progressive type and if not too green around the turn, she may be hard to peg back.

COUNTRY TIME has decent form lines to her credit. She should have finished closer to the winner last time as she was held up for a run from the 400m mark to the 200m mark. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

DRACMA was a tad disappointing in her last start over this distance at Kenilworth. Her first two career runs were encouraging. She carries a handy galloping mass of 53kgs and if not in need of the run, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 2

Trainer Justin Snaith holds a strong hand in this contest and he can saddle the first two past the post. KWINTA’S LIGHT ran a good race when second against males over 1200m on the Polytrack at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. She finished third in her only attempt over this C&D. She is the best-weighted runner in this contest and should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

CIAO BELLA stayed on when third over 1500m at Kenilworth last time. She returns from an 11-week break which would have done her the world of good. She has plenty of ability and should be one of the leading contenders.

BODY ELECTRIC showed good speed when second in her last start over 1000m at Kenilworth. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She will strip a much fitter horse and has plenty of scope.

Race 3

CHARLIE CROKER has good recent form lines to his credit. He moved up like a winner last time, but was outrun late by Victory Of Dubai. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. He has been gelded since his last outing which may have done the trick. If keeping on a straight line, he should go one better.

LOVE IN WINTER is an unraced son of What A Winter from the Vaughan Marshall yard with S’manga Khumalo in the saddle. If not in need of the run, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other unraced entrants in this contest.

CAPTAIN CASANOVA is a son of Captain Of All from the Eric Sands yard with Keagan de Melo doing duty. If not too green, he should give a good account of himself.

Race 4

ALLEZ MORIS showed very good improvement when second over this distance at Kenilworth last time. He raced from a handy position, tried hard but found one too good in the form of Masterful Guy. The son of Dynasty is a progressive type and from his handy draw of five, he is capable of shedding his maiden tag.

HAWK CIRCLE raced green in running over this distance last time, but finished his race off well up the straight. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He does have a wide draw to contend with, but gets the services of Richard Fourie who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

SPIRIT OF SILVANO challenged strongly in his last start over 1950m, but found one too good in the form of Keep Shining. The blinkers seem to have done the trick and he merits healthy respect.

Race 5

HAPPY CHANCE made the natural improvement when second over 1500m at Kenilworth last time. She was slow into stride, but was settled at the rear of the field and finished her race off strongly. The daughter of Dynasty will love the extra 100m on offer and she may be the one to side with.

LOVE RULES set the pace over 1400m last time, but was caught late by Air Of Royalty. The daughter of Dynasty is a progressive type and will love the rise to the mile. She has plenty of scope and is one of the leading contenders.

TURKISH KELIM stayed on nicely when second over 1200m at Kenilworth last time, but found one too good in the form of Cattaleya. The daughter of Rafeef tries the mile and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she should have a say.

Race 6

LE MORNE was ultra-impressive when winning on debut over this distance at Kenilworth. The manner in which he ran on at the finish that day was eye-catching. The son of Futura would have gained from the experience and looks to be above average. He does take on stronger, but from his good draw of three, he can remain unbeaten.

INNAMORARE justified favouritism when winning his last start over this distance at Kenilworth. The son of Master Of My Fate is a progressive type and has plenty of scope. Richard Fourie retains the ride and the pair merit healthy respect.

COLLOIDAL GOLD ran on powerfully when winning his maiden over 1200m. The manner in which he finished off his race that day suggests that he will love the rise to 1400m. He does take on stronger, but is in a good space and should be up to the task at hand.

Race 7

AT MY COMMAND finished 0.75 lengths behind LORD WILLIAM last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them at the wire. It must be noted that Light Speed has come out and won again since. If not in need of the run, he can notch up his third career victory.

LORD WILLIAM is lightly raced with good form to his credit. The son of William Longsword is above average and merits healthy respect.

HAN SOLO has good consistent form lines to his credit. He finished 0.1 lengths behind THE FUTURIST in his penultimate start. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D.

Race 8

CIOLLUM’S DELIGHT took on stronger in her last start over 1000m at Kenilworth. She finished 2.55 lengths behind MAGNETIC DIME in her penultimate run. She is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The daughter of Vercingetorix is having her peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. Sandile Mbhele retains the ride and she can upset.

SILVER GARBO was ultra-impressive when winning her maiden at the second time of asking. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She takes on stronger, but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

LADY SILVANO was an easy winner when shedding her maiden tag over 1200m at Kenilworth last time. The daughter of Bold Silvano is a progressive type and has plenty of scope
