Race 1

JURY‘S OUT produced a fair debut effort over 1200m on this course. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. The son of Gimmethegreenlight would have gained from the experience and with Keagan de Melo in the saddle, he should make the natural progression.

MICKE‘S BOMB hails from the visiting Fanie Bronkhorst stable. She should have finished closer to the winner on debut as she hung in the final 200m. If all went well with her travels, she should make the natural improvement.

ERROLS LEGACY should have finished closer to the winner last time as she had to be switched at the 100m mark. The daughter of Louis The King will enjoy the extra 100m on offer and can feature. She is carded to race on 19 March 2023 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

Race 2

IMPERIOUS DESTINY produced a promising debut effort over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. She lost a length at the start and finished her race off strongly. The daughter of Visionaire would have gained from the experience. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should be the horse to beat.

DADDY‘S JET finished 0.5 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.

VARIETY FAIR‘S last two starts for the Mike Miller stable have been decent. She finished second in her only attempt over this distance. Serino Moodley retains the ride and she can earn another cheque for her patrons.

Race 3

RADICCHIO has shown good improvement in his last two starts after returning from a 23-week break. The manner in which he finished off his last race suggests that he will love the rise to 1400m. The son of Flower Alley is a progressive type and can shed his maiden tag from barrier three.

KASHKAVAL is lightly raced with some decent form lines to his name. It must be noted that the form of his last outing has been franked. He is likely to use his early gate speed to get across without using up too much energy and he may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.

MOON HARVEST has finished fourth in his last four starts. He has had excuses in each of those outings. Keagan de Melo takes the ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

Race 4

JOHNNY‘S HOPE was doing his best work at the finish over 1800m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. He has finished third three times from four starts on this course. The son of Canford Cliffs steps back up to the 2400m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he can shed his maiden tag.

TRITON finished 1.7 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.

TOMMY THE KIDD finished 2.25 lengths behind the top selection in the race referred to above. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

Race 5

SPYDAS CORNER may not have enjoyed the yielding conditions in his last start at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He showed good signs of a form return in the Non-Black Type Marula Sprint in his penultimate run. The son of What A Winter takes a drop in class and on best form shown, he should be too good for this field.

DONQUERARI has some good recent form lines to his credit. He finished 0.5 lengths behind BEECHAMWOOD BOY in his penultimate run. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

BEECHAMWOOD BOY is a winner of his last two starts over this distance. He takes a rise in class, but is in a good space and can notch up the hat- trick.

Race 6

TRAFALGAR SQUARE ran a good race when under a length behind the winner in his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. The son of Great Britain takes a drop in class and with a bit of luck in running, he can notch up his fourth career victory.

BLESS ME FRED won a good race in his last start over 1200m on the polytrack. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. If jumping on terms over the minimum trip, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice

AULD MUG showed good improvement in his last start over this C&D. The blinkers seem to have done the trick on the son of Var. He will strip much fitter and can go one better.

Race 7

MARIA COROLINA kept finding to win her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. She finished 0.75 lengths behind SLEEK AS SILK in her penultimate run. She is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Keagan de Melo retains the ride and the pair may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.

SLEEK AS SILK is a winner of her last two starts, the latest of which was over 1600m on this course. She is better suited to further, but is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

CRAZY BLUES showed some signs of needing her last start over this C&D. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She takes a slight drop in class and should run a positive race on her stable debut
