TOULOUSE v RACING 92

This handicap has ballooned out from -12.5 to -21.5 on the back of team news. There is every chance that Racing throw in the towel early but they could also take a “nothing to lose approach” getting some points and rather than the Toulouse handicap I am going to back them to score 35 points or more.

BET: 3 units Toulouse over 34.5 points at 9/10 at WSB

NORTHAMPTON SAINTS V MUNSTER

Posted 06 March 23h11

Munster have an excellent pedigree for knock out rugby but I think they are going to find Saints have their number on Sunday. Saints are always tough to beat at home and Munster have not impressed me of late.

I was considering a play on over 46.5 points but will wait until closer to kick off to decide on that one and for now will stick with the handicap.

BET: 4 units Saints -6.5 at 9/10 at WSB

LEINSTER v LEICESTER

Posted 5 March 20h57

This is the last of Saturday’s games and the handicap had been firm at -17.5 Leinster all week before moving out to -19.5 after teams were released. Everyone seemed to be treating this game with some caution on THE HANDICAP and I am going to wait for points lines before getting involved.

Update 6 March 10h36

The points line is 51.5 and I am really not strong on anything. I expect Leicester may put up the white flag at some point and will take Leinster to score 36 points or more.

BET: 3 units Leinster over 35.5 points at 17/20 at WSB

BORDEAUX v SARACENS

Posted 5 March 20h55
I went into Thursday night’s edition of THE HANDICAP our Rugby Betting Show confident that I would be taking the Saracens on the +9.5 cap. Both panellists were bullish on Bordeaux though and as The Mossman stated if Saracens start badly then they could take a business decision and throw in the towel to focus on the Premiership. In the end I am letting those two great betting minds sway me and will back the home team on the cap which has moved down slightly to -8.5.

BET: 4 Units Bordeaux -8.5 at 9/10 at Betxchange

BRUMBIES v WARATAHS

Posted 5 March 20h47

The handicap on this game has been fairly stable with the early -8.5 or Brumbies now -9.5. The points line has moved in considerably on reports of rain and is currently 47.5 / 46.5 depending on where you shop. Looking at the forecast I am not convinced that there is going to be rain in the game. It wouldn’t be the first time this season the reports have been misleading (remember the Drua game a couple of weeks back). Recent matches between these sides have been high scoring and I can’t resist going overs and holding thumbs that the weather is not as bad as forecast.

BET: 4 Units over 46.5 points at 10/11 at Pokerbet

CHIEFS v MOANA PASIFIKA

Posted 5 March 10h10

This handicap has ballooned out from an opening call of Chiefs -25.5 to the -28.5 currently on offer. I capped this game -23.5 Chiefs so should be leaning towards the visitors, but it is hard to have any faith in Pasifika given their last two matches. The points line is also high at 65.5 and that looks about right. In the end a speculative play for me, Chief’s Hooker Samisoni Taukei’aho to score at least two tries at 9/4.

BET: Taukei’aho to score at least 2 tries at 9/4 at Pokerbet*

EXETER v BATH

Posted 5 March 10h05

This handicap has also been stable all week with Bath narrow favourites, although visiting teams don’t have great records in the knock-out stages of the Champions Cup, both of the guests on Thursday night’s THE HANDICAP were strong on Bath who have been profitable for followers this season. I am not going to argue and will jump on board the Bath outright play.

BET: 5 Units Bath win at 77/100 at Pokerbet*

HARLEQUINS v GLASGOW

Posted 5 March 09h05

This handicap started -8.5 earlier in the week, but it has gradually come into the -6.5 Harlequins currently on offer. Glasgow are fielding a strong team and I am going to go along with The Mossman who quite fancied them on Thursday night’s live edition of THE HANDICAP

There will be bigger plays on the weekend that is for sure.

BET:   3 units Glasgow +6.5 at 9/10 at WSB

REBELS v DRUA

Posted 05 April 00h25

There has been big handicap movement in this game with the early +3.5 Rebels snapped up. Having capped this game as Rebels -8.5 (due to Drua poor record on the road) I took some -1.5 early in the week and am a bit surprised the line hasn’t moved.

My main interest though is on the points line which has already shifted from 58.5 to 59.5 since we did the show. The lads in the live chat (led by The Understaker) really like the overs and I agree.

The Rebels are full of points this season but also concede plenty and the Drua will love playing on the fast Melbourne surface. A small concern that there is some cloud about and the humidity level is a bit high but I cannot look past a high scoring game.

BET: 4 units over 59.5 at 10/11 at Pokerbet*

BLUES V FORCE

Posted 05 April 00h10

I handicapped this Blues -19.5 and after opening -21.5 the line has moved to -23.5.

I am leaning Force but the bet I prefer is under 60.5 points.

This would have arrived in the last 5 head to heads between the sides, in the last 4 Blues matches in this years comp and 3 of the last 4 Force matches.

There is some rain about as well but it looks likely to have cleared well before kick off although in New Zealand you just never know.

BET: 5 units under 60.5 points at 9/10 at Betxchange
