champs.leagueTuesday's action in Matchday 5 of the Uefa Champions League is headlined by Group F where PSG take on Newcastle and AC Milan host Dortmund.

Group F

Dortmund top this group with 7 points, PSG have 6 points, AC Milan have 5 points and Newcastle have 4

PSG 0.57/1 Draw 32/10 Newcastle 4.25/1

PSG have won both their home games in this group with daylight. They began with a 2-0 win over Dortmund and on Matchday 3 they beat Milan 3-0. The problems have occurred when travelling, a 4-1 hiding off Newcastle and last time out they went down 2-1 in Milan.

PSG are 1 point clear of Nice in Ligue 1 on the back of 7 wins and 1 draw in their last 8.

Newcastle's return to the UCL started with a 0-0 draw away to AC Milan and they followed up with that fine 4-1 home win over PSG. Back to back defeats to Dortmund, 1-0 at St James Park and 2-0 in Germany see them with plenty to do. If they can get something here then qualification hopes will still be alive to some degree ahead of a home game against AC Milan but if they lose here a last 16 spot will be beyond them.

Newcastle have been hampered by injuries of late but they did beat Chelsea 4-1 in an EPL home game at the weekend and they are in seventh spot.

The Verdict:

PSG have not been the most reliable in the UCL but their home form is solid enough for me to think they will get the job done against a Newcastle side who's injuries concerns are easing but still significant.

The visitors won't want to die wondering though and will give it plenty but that could open the door for PSG to pick them off, hopefully at least 3 times.

Bets: PSG total goals over 2.5 at 1.65/1 with Sportingbet

AC Milan 21/20 Draw 26/10 Dortmund 5/2

Milan missed the better of the chances in their 0-0 draw with Newcastle and then played out another stalemate away to Dortmund before the 3-0 loss away to PSG. They put themselves back in contention with that 2-1 home win over PSG and they are third on the Serie A log, 6 points behind league leaders Inter.

After failing to score in their first 2 matches Dortmund shot to the top of the group with those wins home and away to Newcastle and all their group matches have delivered for backers of under 2.5 goals and both teams to score? (no). They are fourth in the Bundesliga, 10 points behind Leverkusen

The Verdict:

This looks a tricky contest and I fancy it will be close. I'm not going to name a winner but the match to be won by 1 goal margin is my play.

Bets: Match won by 1 goal exactly? (yes) at 13/10 with Sportingbet
