facupIt's FA Cup semi final weekend at Wembley, on Saturday Manchester City clash with Chelsea and on Sunday Coventry take on Manchester United

Man City 6/10 Draw 32/10 Chelsea 4/1 (Saturday)

Current FA Cup holders City booked their semi final place with a 2-0 home win over Newcastle. In the last 16 they thrashed Luton 6-2 away from home with Haaland scoring 5 goals. In the fourth round just one goal, scored late on by Ake, handed City a 1-0 win at Spurs and in the third round they romped to a 5-0 home win over Championship side Huddersfield.

City exited the UCL in midweek, losing to Real on spot kicks and as the likes of Haaland and De Bruyne were withdrawn before extra time it will be worth monitoring their team news. City are back in control of the title race with a 2 point lead over Arsenal and Liverpool although both those sides will have the opportunity to leapfrog City this weekend.

Chelsea's FA Cup run started with a 4-0 win over Championship side Preston at Stamford Bridge and after a 0-0 draw with Villa in another home tie in the fourth round they won the replay 3-1. They had to dig deep to see off Leeds 3-2 in another home tie and were again tested in the quarters before finally seeing off Leicester 4-2 after extra time.

Chelsea now return to Wembley where they lost the EFL Cup Final to Liverpool earlier in the season, going down 1-0 to an extra time goal against a side who were stricken with injuries at the time.

In the EPL Chelsea thrashed Everton 6-0 on Monday night with Palmer scoring 4 of the goals. They moved up to ninth on the standings but would need a really strong finish to break into the European qualification places.

The Verdict

Both league meetings this season finished all square, an epic 4-4 at Stamford Bridge and in Manchester and it finished up 1-1 so Chelsea will take heart from that.

I'd also be a bit worried about the energy sapping game City played out in midweek and I'm thinking the value lies in another draw.

Coventry 4.75/1 Draw 36/10 Man United 5/10 (Sunday)

Coventry represent the Championship on Sunday and they reached the semi finals courtesy of a dramatic 3-2 win away to Wolves. Their cup run began with a 6-2 home win over Oxford, they dispatched Sheffield Wednesday 4-1 in a fourth round replay and then put minnows Maidstone away with a 5-0 home win in the last 16.

Coventry have lost 3 of their last 4 Championship matches and have slipped to eighth which leaves their chances of reaching the play offs pretty remote.

The FA Cup is United's only chance of a trophy this season and they came through a thrilling quarter final with Liverpool at Old Trafford, edging it 4-3 with a goal at the death of extra time (2-2 90 mins).

United had travelled in each of the previous rounds. A 2-0 win at Wigan was followed by a 4-2 victory at Newport where they overcame a major wobble. In the last 16 they were 1-0 winners away to Forest thanks to a late Casimero goal.

United are currently seventh in the EPL standings, level with Newcastle but all of 10 points behind fifth placed Spurs.

The Verdict

A proud day for Coventry and though I would be surprised if they were to turn United over I think they will give a good account. I'm with a multi goals tally of 2-3 in regulation time.
