Monaco GP 2023

At last years GP, Verstappen had a dominant weekend, qualifying first and going on to win the race by +27.9 seconds. Fernando Alonso finished second after qualifying second. Ocon had a brilliant performance to grab 3rd place and a podium finish.

Monaco is known to be a track where the most important part of the weekend is qualifying as overtaking on the tight street circuit is not easy.

VERDICT

Verstappen has won 5 out of the 7 races this year and is the worthy favourite although recent signs are that the Reb Bull are not the dominant force they have been over the last couple of seasons and we are getting a much bigger price on him to win than we have all season.

Ferrari have always had a good qualifying record at Monaco with both cars qualifying in the top 5 in the last two Monaco GPs. If Carlos Sainz manages to put in a good lap come Q3 like he did in 2022, then he will have a very good chance to grab a podium spot come Sunday.

Suggested Bet: Carlos Sainz, Podium finish at 17/10

Fernado Alonso knows his way around Monaco extremely well having raced there on numerous occasions as well as winning the race in 2007. He will look to repeat his impressive performance of last year where he finished second and bounce back from a disappointing weekend at Imola.

Suggested Bet: Fernando Alonso top 6 finish at 12/10
