RACE 1

It must be noted that the horses that finished second and third that day have come out and won since. He will love the rise to 1400m and should have more to come.
SUPREME JUDGE set the pace over this C&D last time, challenged strongly but found one too good in the form of Above The Horizon. The cheekpieces seem to have done the trick. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
ARLU ran a fair race over 1200m on this course last time. He is having his third run after a rest and will be cherry-ripe. If seeing out the extra distance on offer, he can finish in the placings.
RACE 3
LOVEGRASS should have finished closer to the winner last time as she had no luck in running. Her best form has come under Richard Fourie. From her good draw of four, she can notch up her fourth-career victory.
RED SASH’S last two starts have been good. She has won three times, finished second three times and third once from eight starts on this course. Chase Maujean is likely to use her early gate speed to overcome the widest draw and she may be hard to peg back.
MYTHICAL DREAM finished 0.5 lengths behind the second selection last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
RACE 4
BOSNAY’S last two starts have been good. She set the pace over 1600m on this course on Monday, and tried hard all the way to the line. She has won once and finished third once from four starts over this C&D. 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Nirvan Nastili retains the ride and if this run has not come too soon, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
BAIE MOOI was an easy winner on debut over this C&D. She returns from an 18-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. The daughter of Canford Cliffs could be anything and can remain unbeaten.
MY AMI BEACH is better than her last start over 1400m on this course. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth has come out and won since. Four of her five career victories have come over this distance and she can show.
RACE 5
FLOWER FESTIVAL was her own worst enemy last time as she over raced in the early stages. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. She has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. If Luyolo Mxothwa is able to switch her off early, she should be competitive.
WINTER EMERALDS was an easy winner of his local debut over 1200m on this course. The son of What A Winter takes on stronger, but he has plenty of scope and should give a good account of himself.
HOSPICES DE BEAUNE ran a decent race when fourth over 1400m on Monday. He gets the services of 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Nirvan Nastili which will assist his cause. If this run has not come too soon, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 6
HEEMSTEDE ran a good race when second in his local debut over this distance on the turf. He cost himself winning that day as he over raced in the early stages and hung in the straight. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The son of Potala Palace meets the right field and if taking to the polytrack, he should be the one to beat.
TWILIGHT BAY ran a good race when second over 1600m last time. The daughter of Potala Palace steps up to 1900m and if switching off early, she may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
HAT MONTERA stayed on when fourth over this C&D last time. She gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand. With luck in running, she can earn another cheque for her patrons.
RACE 7
ONO NO KOMACHI followed up her maiden victory with a creditable sixth-place finish over 1900m on this course. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. She will love the extra 100m on offer and if not too far out of her ground turning for home, she should give the males a run for their money.
ROLL OF THE DICE finished 0.05 lengths behind RED WILLIAM last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
RED WILLIAM’S last two starts have been good. He ran on well over 1900m on this course last time. The son of William Longsword is the stable elect with Luyolo Mxothwa aboard and he merits healthy respect.

SHARAPOVA has good consistent form lines to her credit. She tried hard when second over 1200m on the turf, last week Friday. She has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. The daughter of Querari meets the right field and she is the horse to beat.
SWISS WALT was beaten under a length over 1200m, on Monday. The son of Twice Over is in good form and if this run has not come too soon, he should be the first male past the post.
LUCKY SPIRIT ran a good race when second over 1400m on this course last time. With a bit of luck from his wide draw, he should be involved at the finish
