Our IPL coverage continues with a play in every game taking place from Monday the 4th to Thursday the 7th of May
Odds are subject to change
Monday 4th May Mumbai Indians v Lucknow Super Giants
Venue: Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
Match Result Betting: Mumbai 6/10 LSG 1.35/1
Mumbai just can’t get going, they remain stuck on just the 2 wins but now have 7 defeats against their name. They have lost their last 3 matches, 2 hidings off CSK either side of a loss at the Sunrisers. Their only wins came at home to KKR in their opening match and away to the Titans.
LSG are also stuck on 2 wins and like Mumbai they have just the 4 points and can be found at the foot of the standings. They haven’t been in action since the 26th April when they lost a Super Over to KKR, a fifth straight defeat. LSG did win in Hyderabad and Kolkata back in Matches 10 and 15.
Punters must be losing faith in backing Mumbai by now but aside from one innings against CSK where MI were bowled out for 104, this venue generally produces 200+ runs in an innings. I’m taking my chances with a couple of sixes for LSG’s Rishabh Pant
Bets: Rishabh Pant to hit 2 or more sixes at 13/10 with Lucky Fish
Tuesday 5th May Delhi Capitals v Chennai Super Kings
Venue: Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi
Match Result Betting: Capitals 9/10 CSK 9/10
Delhi snapped a 3 match losing streak when they beat Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets in Jaipur on Friday. Chasing 226 for victory Nissanka (62) and KL Rahul (75) put on 110 for the first wicket and Nitish Rana (33) took things on before Stubbs and Ashutosh Sharma finished the job. The Capitals now have 4 wins and 5 defeats as they look for revenge on CSK who beat them by 23 runs in Chennai in Match 18.
CSK also have a record of 4 wins and 5 defeats and their net run rate is a touch superior to Delhi’s after two crushing wins over Mumbai Indians either side of an 8 wicket defeat at home to Gujarat Titans. CSK chased down 160 needed for victory in Mumbai at the weekend with Gaikwad (67 not out) and Kartik Sharma (54 not out) helping them to their first away win of the season.
The Capitals had a nightmare in their most recent home fixture at this venue, bowled out for 75 against RCB but the game prior to that saw DC and Punjab both score 260 plus. I think there is 20 runs or more in this game for Tristan Stubbs.
Bets: Tristan Stubbs total runs over 19.5 at 17/20 with Lucky Fish
