A betting preview and tips for the 2026 T20 World Cup match between West Indies and Zimbabwe which takes place on Monday 23rd February
WORKING IT – Monday 23 February
The last two teams that still need to clock in for their first shift in the Super 8’s is the uber-cool Windies and the surprise-package Zimbabweans.
WEST INDIES v ZIMBABWE, Wankhede
It might sound strange saying this but on the one hand I see the Islanders as a decent shout to win the tournament (at a juicy 16/1) but on the other I can also realistically see the men from the Caribbean joining Australia and Sri Lanka on the pile of scalps claimed by the “other” team from Southern Africa.
Make no mistake about it, this Zimbabwean side did not sneak into the Super 8. They topped their pool and looked impressive doing so. Yes, the bright eyed and bushy tailed intern is friendly and seemingly harmless – but ultimately, they’re here for your head, I mean job…
He pitches up to work on Fridays with shorts, slops and a t-shirt, which to be fair is only a slight dress-down from his formal working week wear. Yet whilst you always find him strutting around the office small-talking the lads and smooth-talking the ladies, his marketing strategies always hit the mark, and he is an irreplaceable member of the team – regardless of how often he arrives late.
Will the keen, university taught intern snatch the seat from under the street-smart marketing guru who relies on gut feel and intuition rather than stats and figures?

The West Indies have good track history on their side having beaten England and Nepal at this venue. Despite being 8/2 early doors against the Poms, the Windies’ batters seem to have enjoyed this pitch thus far. For Zimbabwe their success has largely been down to Bennett getting them off to a good start with the bat and Blessing Muzarabini doing the same with the ball. If the Islanders can neutralise those two early threats, they will be well set for victory.
Zimbawe a Fifty to scored in the Match – No @ 2.05 with Pokerbet
Thus far Brian Bennett is the only one to reach this milestone for Zimbabwe. The Windies have Jason Holder in form and Motie a danger during the middle overs. I’m happy going against the batting capabilities of Zim.
Zimbabwe Top Bowler – Sikandar Raza @ 4.50 with Pokerbet
Wasn’t at his best with the ball against Sri Lanka but the Zim skipper loves a fight, and I expect him to come out at 110% for this game. Blessing could be the biggest competition for this bet.
Player to Score Most Fours – SD Hope @ 6.50 with Pokerbet
Hope has it his purple patch and will be licking his lips at adding some more runs here. Bennett has a lot on his shoulders for this one so I prefer the mast Caribbean stroke player to bring home the bacon for us.
