The final action in the sixth round English Premier League matches sees Coventry bid to chalk up back to back wins when they host Newcastle on Monday night

Coventry

Coventry started the season with 4 straight defeats in the EPL including home games against Hull (lost 1-0) and Brighton (lost 5-0). They also went down away to Arsenal (3-0) and Man City (1-0) but they got on the scoreboard in Round 5 with a 1-0 win at Forest with Jay Dasilve scoring their first EPL goal of the season.

Coventry will kick off second bottom but a victory here would take them up to fourteenth.

Newcastle

Newcastle have 2 wins, 2 draws and 11 defeat against their name, scoring 9 goals and conceding the same number.  Their wins came away at Spurs and most recently at home to Hull, they also played out 2-2 draws at home to Liverpool and Bournemouth and their only loss came at Leeds where they were thrashed 4-1.

Newcastle kick off in eleventh place but a win here puts them in the top 4.

Verdict:

I must admit to having no firm opinion on this game but I’ll have a small interest in the any time goalscorer market and Yoane Wissa gets the vote.
