Two English Premier League matches take place on Monday when Chelsea host Nottingham Forest and Everton take on Manchester City

Prices quoted are correct at the time of publication but subject to change.

Chelsea v Notts Forest

On the back of 5 straight EPL defeats which led to a change in coach Chelsea will kick off here in ninth place, this is essentially a game in hand after other sides played over the weekend and if they win they will move up to seventh. Hopes of a top 5 finish and UCL football next season look remote at best but a 1-0 win over Leeds in the FA Cup semi finals last week has at least lifted the gloom and they will take on Man City in the final.

Forest are buzzing right now, unbeaten in their last 6 EPL matches and with 9 goals in the last 2, a 4-1 home win over Burnley and 5-0 victory at Sunderland. They also hold a 1-0 advantage over Aston Villa in their UEL semi final with the second leg to come at Villa Park in midweek. Forest will kick off with 3 points worth of daylight over third bottom West Ham and they are 2 points in front of Spurs.

Everton v Man City

Everton have taken just 4 points from the last 15 available and they have slipped just below half way in the standings but still in contention for Europa or Conference League qualification next season if they can put together a strong finish. A pair of 2-1 defeats, at home to Liverpool and away at West Ham have damaged the cause to some degree, prior to that they drew 2-2 at Brentford and late goals have been the decisive factor in all 3 of those matches.

Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Fulham on Saturday means City are now 6 points behind the Gunners in the title race but with 2 games in hand. Arsenal also have a goal difference of +41 to City’s +37 and after this City host Palace, visit Bournemouth and finish up at home to Villa. They also have an FA Cup final date with Chelsea to look forward too and they cut it pretty fine after resting a few regular starters in last week’s 2-1 semi final win over Southampton.

Monday’s Bets

I’m not overly strong on anything here but 2-3 goals in total covers a number of scorelines I can envisage in both matches and the double will pay a shade over 3/1

Multi goals, 2-3 in a double at 3.15/1
