Chelsea v Sunderland
Chelsea are on a 4 match winning streak spanning their last 2 league games and the UCL. They put 5 past Ajax in the UCL on Wednesday whilst last week’s visit to Notts Forest saw them come out on top 3-0. They have also beaten Liverpool (2-1) at Stamford Bridge recently and they finished the previous round of matches in fifth place with 14 points.
Seventh placed Sunderland also have 14 points and are currently faring best of the newly promoted sides. The bulk of their points have been earned at the Stadium of Light whilst on the road they have a pair of 2-0 defeats at Burnley and most recently Man United either side of a 0-0 draw at Palace and 1-0 win at Forest.
Sunderland have been terrific although they haven’t created an awful lot in their away fixtures. They have impressed defensively though Alderete, a key man is missing but this still might be harder work for Chelsea than the betting suggests. I’ll go with both teams to score.

Newcastle v Fulham
Newcastle were 3-0 winners at home to Benfica in the UCL in midweek, their second win in 3 outings in that competition. In the EPL have they have what can be considered a below par return of 9 points and they went down 2-1 at Brighton last weekend. Their 2 league wins came with clean sheets, at home to Wolves (1-0) and Forest (2-0) whilst Liverpool (3-2) and Arsenal (2-1) have both left St. James Park with maximum points.
Fulham are stuck in a bit of a rut after 3 successive EPL defeats, at Villa and Bournemouth (both 3-1) and most recently they went down 1-0 at home to Arsenal. Their only point away from home this season came in a draw at Brighton on the opening weekend and with 8 points they are 1 behind their opponents here.
Fulham have a few injuries in defence and I’ll look for a home team goalscorer. Anthony Gordon impressed in the UCL in midweek and gets the vote to pop up any time.
Bet: Anytime goalscorer Anthony Gordon at 1.88/1 with Pokerbet
Man United v Brighton
Things are looking up for Man United who’s 2-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield last weekend was their best result of the season by some distance and with 13 points they finished the round in the top half of the table.. They also beat Sunderland 2-0 in their most recent home game and after battling to chalk up back to back wins they now go in search of 3 in a row. Other results at Old Trafford this season include wins over Chelsea and Burnley and a defeat to Arsenal.
Brighton are unbeaten in their last 4 and are 1 point and 1 place shy of United in the standings. Last week’s 2-1 home win over Newcastle was preceded by a 1-1 draw at Wolves and 3-1 win at Chelsea. Earlier results away from home saw them lose at Everton and Bournemouth.
This will tell us more about whether United really are on a genuine upward curve. Amad Diallo has been lively in their last 2 wins and could take his turn to register a goal.

Brentford v Liverpool
Brentford were 2-0 winners at West Ham on Monday night to move their points tally up to 10. The other 7 were all earned in home games with wins over Villa and Man United and a draw with Chelsea although Man City did win (1-0) here recently.
Liverpool trashed Frankfurt 5-1 in Germany in the UCL in midweek, a much needed boost after they had lost 4 in a row. Three of those defeats came in the EPL, at Palace, then at Chelsea and most recently at home to Man United and all those games finished with a 2-1 scoreline. That slump in form has seen them drop to third place, 4 points adrift of league leaders Arsenal.
Brentford are boosted from their first points away from home and their form in front of their own supporters is pretty good too. However Liverpool were back in the goals in midweek and 2 of those were created by Florian Wirtz. I think I’m right in saying that he has yet to score or assist in the EPL, this could be his opportunity to set one up or get one himself.
Bet: Player To Score or Assist Florian Wirtz at 11/10 with Pokerbet
