We take a look at all five English Premier League matches taking place on Saturday including Manchester City v Leeds and Everton v Newcastle

Prices quoted are correct at the time of publication but subject to change.

Brentford v Burnley

Brentford went down 2-1 away to Brighton last weekend. Thiago scored their goal but also missed a penalty and they remain just below halfway in the standings with 16 points. At home they boast wins over Villa, Man Utd, Liverpool and Newcastle plus a draw with Chelsea and their only home defeat came against Man City.

Burnley lost 2-0 at home to Chelsea last week and with just 10 points they have slipped to second from bottom. Their only away win and points return away from home came at bottom of the table Wolves and 5 other road trips have ended in defeat.

If Brentford replicate the sort of performances they have been putting in against some strong sides in previous home games they should have too much for Burnley. I’m with the hosts to score 2-3 goals in their multi goal market

Bet: Brentord multi goal, 2-3 at 21/20 with Sportingbet

Man City v Leeds

City have had a bad week, losing 2-1 at Newcastle in the EPL last weekend and after ringing the changes for a UCL home fixture in midweek they went down 2-0 to Leverkusen. Prior to the defeat at St. James Park they had won 5 of their last 6 league outings and after losing their first home game of the season at home to Spurs they have won each of the last 5 league games at The Etihad.

Leeds have opened the scoring and ended up on the losing side more than once this season and that was the case last week when they went down 2-1 at home to Villa. They have now lost 5 of their last 6 and now find themselves third from bottom with 11 points from 12 games.

Two defeats in the space of a few days would be of some concern for City but on previous home form they ought to win this comfortably. I’ll go with City to win both halves of football.

Bet: To win both halves, Man City yes at 1.45/1 with Sportingbet

Sunderland v Bournemouth

Sunderland’s bandwagon received a jolt last week when they were beaten 1-0 at Fulham, a game where they created very little. The return to the Stadium of Light is a big plus given they are unbeaten here with 3 wins and 3 draws and they managed to hold Arsenal to a 2-2 draw here in their most recent home game.

Bournemouth came from 2-0 down to draw -2 at West Ham last weekend and like Sunderland they have 19 points against their name. They have been shipping goals away from home recently, drawing 2-2 at Leeds and 3-3 at Palace followed by defeats at Man city (3-1) and Villa (4-0).

Sunderland have bounced back with positive results after their 2 previous defeats and after a below par display against Fulham last week I believe they will make a few changes and return to the winners enclosure.

Bet: Sunderland to win at 2.05/1 with SuperSportBet

Everton v Newcastle

Despite having a man sent off early on Everton came away from Old Trafford with a 1-0 win over Man United on Monday night to move into mid table with 18 points. They have won 3, drawn 2 and lost 1 of their 6 home games so far with Brighton, Palace and Fulham the teams to have lost here.

Newcastle’s 2-1 home win over Man City last week sees them come into this game 3 points behind Everton. They are still looking for a first away win in the EPL this season having drawn 0-0 at Villa, Leed and Bournemouth followed by defeats at Brighton, West Ham and Brentford. In midweek they went down 2-1 at Marseille in the UCL.

This is one of the trickier matches to call on this weekend’s coupon. After scoring the winner at Ma United and generally impressing with his overall displays, Dewsbury-Hall looks a good bet o register a shot on target,

Bet: Player shots on target, Dewsbury Hall 1 or more at 13/10 with Sportingbet

Spurs v Fulham

Spurs barely landed a blow on Arsenal in their 4-1 defeat at Arsenal in last Sunday’s derby and that saw them slip down to ninth position in a very congested area of the standings. In midweek they carried much more goal threat but finished beaten 5-3 at PSG in the UCL. Spurs have taken just 5 points from 6 home games in the EPL this season, a win over Burnley and a draw with Wolves, the two sides who fill the bottom two positions in the current standings.

Fulham were deserved winners (1-0) at home to Sunderland last week to move 3 points clear of the drop zone. They now bid to improve on an away record of 1 draw and 5 defeats. That draw came at Brighton on the opening weekend and since then they have lost at Chelsea, Villa, Bournemouth, Newcastle and Everton and they have conceded at least 2 goals in all 5 of those defeats.

Spurs have shipped 9 goals in their last 2 games, albeit against two of the strongest sides in club football. Fulham don’t fall into that category and have struggled away from home this season but I’m swerving the match result and looking for the home side to be awarded 7 or more corners.

Bet: Spurs total corners over 6.5 at 5/4 with Sportingbet
