Wednesday’s Betway Premiership action sees Kaizer Chiefs bid for a fourth straight league win when they visit bottom of the log Magesi FC.

Magesi are bottom of the standings with just 17 points but this is their game in hand on the two teams directly above them, Orbit college and Marumo Gallants, who both have 19 points against their name. That means a win here would lift Magesi out of the automatic and play off relegation spots. They did win their most recent Betway Premiership home game 3-0 against Gallants but there is their only 3 point haul in the last 13 league outings.
Kaizer Chiefs
After 3 successive league defeats in February and early March saw Chiefs detached from the title race they have revived their fortunes with 4 straight wins. Home fixtures against Durban City (1-0), their opponents here Magesi (2-0), a visit to Orbit College (3-1) and most recently a 2-0 home win over TS Galaxy have seen Chiefs move clear in third spot, 3 points better off than fourth placed Amazulu with 2 games in hand. Looking up the likes of Pirates and Sundowns would appear to be well out of sight.
The Betting:
Magesi FC are currently 3/1 to win the game with the draw at 2.05/1 and Chiefs can be backed at 12/10.
A game of 3 goals or more is priced at 1.55/1 and it’s 12/10 for both teams to score.
The Verdict:
The incentive for Magesi is obvious but Chiefs are also chasing qualification for CAF competition next season and their current form is the best of their season so far. I wouldn’t say banker material but odds against for a Chiefs win would be my preference here.
