Not a great weekend for me although a bounce back on the overs in Stormers v Cheetahs at least.

We are getting close to the 1st test against the AB's and they play the Sharks tomorrow night.

Current handicap -34.5 and Jacques got an early play in on the old thread where he is taking New Zealand minus based on the teams. Bookie Basher mentioned the weather didn't look great

There is also Currie Cup week 5 - blog out shortly, NPC and Australia v Japan

Jacques early call in last weeks thread spot on and the handicap has quickly shifted to -38.5

The weather looks poor and I am waiting for the points lines now

NZ v Sharks
Happy with the -34.5 I got on Sunday, out to -39.5 as we speak. All over under 65.5 points. Can't see the Sharks contributing much to the scoreboard this evening. Lots of rain predicted throughout the day as per Accuweather. Personally feel there is a good chance of both bets landing.

Few team changes - Roigard replaced by Ratima on the bench for the All Blacks. Emile van Heerden and Vincent Tshituka ruled out for the Sharks. Deon Slabbert starts in van Heerden's place and Corne Rahl replaces Tshituka on the bench.

Also an early strike on Japan +18.5 this weekend.

Thanks for the updates @JacquesT

I was eyeing Roigard for a last try scorer play

Sharks v New Zealand Preview

I am applying similar logic and have ended on Sharks under 12.5 at 9/10

around 11/4 bet builder for that cap and points double, so a decent price if you fancy it.

My betting nerves would be shot though as could imagine NZ going say 35-0 by the break if things click for them, then need the brakes to be applied.

like that Roigard last try option Brent but annoying how most bookies don’t price up subs which makes market a complete farce.

My main play Sharks under 13.5 @ 5/6. Don't see this side managing to build any pressure

Sharks no try @ 7/1.

NZ 1st try scorer Aumua @ 10/1. Back of the maul and a threat in close quarters.

Very poor Sharks side , I missed the 65.5 and best here is 60.5, but I'm still worried I've seen some NPC games where the Kiwi sides score at will.

Shark points best here is 11.5 but at evens, 13.5 I reckon is Golden !

The rain is on and off so waiting until I can get some proper pictures , but for now have taken under 11.5 Shark

Nice half time call there BB and South you must have thought that overs tries was gone early.

Sharks unders never in doubt after the 1st 5 minutes when they were threatening the line, even then I wasn't too concerned though

Jacques at the minus backers also collect and also Shaft with his 7/1 Sharks no try - I see South tweeted they were 14/1 to be nilled

Onto the Bulls game where the line is likely to be in the 30's again

Not sure the long term forecast but miserable weather up here at the moment

Desperate already this week and am turning to League for redemption!

NRL, Panthers v Roosters - both teams scoring a lot of points recently so over 42.5 match points it is .....

EDIT: Rest assured chaps, whatever I bet on, if you bet the opposite then you will win!!

Thanks @Wager Warlock. Was hoping for a cap closer to 40. Bulls selected quite a solid team. Bosch, Abrahams and Liebenberg (2nd debut) debut for the Bulls. Will be interesting to see how they fit in first time out.

All Blacks team to play Bulls
1. Xavier Numia, 2. Codie Taylor (captain), 3. Tyrel Lomax, 4. Fabian Holland, 5. Patrick Tuipulotu, 6. Simon Parker, 7. Anton Segner, 8. Peter Lakai, 9. Cortez Ratima, 10. Josh Jacomb, 11. Josh Moorby, 12. Anton Lienert-Brown, 13. Rieko Ioane, 14. Leroy Carter, 15. Beauden Barrett.
Bench: 16. Samisoni Taukei’aho, 17. George Bower, 18. Siale Lauaki, 19. Josh Lord, 20. Wallace Sititi, 21. Kyle Preston, 22. Timoci Tavatavanawai, 23. Emoni Narawa.

Will be looking at Bulls points over 12.5, weather should be much better by Saturday.

i will be all over the NZ -30.5 and NZ pts overs if i can get it from my bookies. When was the last game of rugby most this Bulls 23 squad played? June? i know a couple have played CC, 1 been playing in france and papier played with boks. But i'd think Bulls will be rusty, like Sharks who i think rustiness would have been more exposed early on had it not been for poor conditions.

Prefer points these days so might have to sit, but firmly in a big NZ win camp of thought this weekend.
