Formula 1 returns this weekend after a short break as the grid heads to the streets of Marina Bay for the Singapore Grand Prix. VERDICT
Lando Norris returns to Singapore after dominating last year’s race, and he knows both the circuit and what it takes to win under the lights at Marina Bay. With his teammate Piastri still holding the edge in the standings, Norris understands the importance of striking now to close the gap. This time last year he was chasing Verstappen for the title and came up short so he’s been in this position before and knows exactly what’s required to keep his championship hopes alive.

Mercedes have also been showing steady momentum in recent rounds. In two of the last three races both cars finished inside the top six, with George Russell grabbing yet another podium last time out and Kimi Antonelli bringing home fourth.
